New Factory in South Korea: Interior Minister Guo Jing has visited the newly constructed Factory in South Korea. The Factory is build a few miles away from Changwon, Capital of the South Gyeongsang Province. The workers greeted enthusiastically the Minister and in a traditional ceremony thanked the Heaven and the Great Emperor Hwang Jang Le for their kindness. Mr. Guo Jing made the following statements:

"It is a great pleasure for me to inaugurate this new Factory, for it is the beginning of a great effort to modernize and industrialize Korea and make it an advanced and modern nation. All the workers who took part in the construction did their best in building this factory, for this is not a simple construction, but a symbol of our National Prowess. This is only the start. Soon, we shall start an even greater and more radical industrialization of our country."

Great Emperor Hwang Jang Le visits the new Heavenly Armies:


Two new Heavenly Imperial Armies have been created to protect the nation from foreign invaders. The new Armies, mostly made up from Manchu recruits, have been paid a visit by His Imperial Highness, The Great Emperor Hwang Jang Le. The Great Emperor has commended positively about the high morale of the army and the patriotism of the soldiers. The Soldiers greeted the Emperor with tears in their eyes and the shouting "Long Live the Emperor" lasted for almost an hour. The Emperor is very pleased with the Army Minister Yang Kang and Generals Lee and Kim for their efforts in recruiting and training those two new armies.

Marriage of Minister Yang Kang: The Army Minister Yang Kang, 29 years old, is getting married to Miss Mu Nianci. Yang Kang, son of the previous Army Minister Yang Kim Jong, who unfortunately died in his fifties because of a heart attack, succeeded his father in the Army Ministry, aged only 26. Yet, he managed to prove that he did not get the job only because his father was the previous Minister, but also because of his skills. Indeed, Yang Kang has made an excellent job in creating a modernized and ready for combat Korean Army.


In the marriage, it is expected that among the guests will be Interior Minister Guo Jing, Generals Kim and Lee, Marshall Park and Admiral Gye, while it is still uncertain whether His Imperial Highness, The Great Emperor Hwang Jang Le will come to the marriage. The Marriage will be a great event and the Emperor has ordered a whole Imperial Army to parade in Seoul and an other one in Pyongyang, in order to celebrate the marriage.

Five dead, twelve injured in Tae Kwon Do Fighting: The famous Tae Kwon Do Pugilist Pak Pong-ju accepted a challenge by the head student of the Yong Nam School for a fight. As expected, Pak Pong-ju defeated his challenger and seriously injured him, but the other students of the School did not accept this and attacked en masse against Pak. Pak, with his great pugilistic skills, defeated his enemies, killing five people and injuring other eleven. The police intervened just in time to stop more deaths. Both Pak and the Yong Nam School have been fined.

The Confederate Senate has recently voted to initiate the five year plan proposed by economic minster McRothschild. The plan is the largest government project to date, calling for the construction of large scale industrial assets across a variety of the states. The plan is designed to expand especially upon the weapons industry, with factories being set up capable of producing the new model tanks and heavy bombers. This will not only allow the government to continue its plans for modernisation of the military, but will also provide economic benefits in terms of jobs and potential overseas sales of the new weaponry.

In the meantime, Minister McRothschild has confirmed that later plans will likely see a heavier focus on consumer production, but stated the senates focus upon military security was a significant factor in the decisions to expand nationalised arms industries. This has been particularly of import given the unexpected tensions resulting from dual agreements with Spain and Naples, who have both agreed to severe limitations to their ability to deploy military force within Africa.

Army Minister Notta McDictator has stated that the first factories will play a significant role in the upcoming recruitment drive. General McKilgore has been similarly supportive of the planned military drive and the expansion of related industry, although he has reportedly been sceptical about plans to sell some of the output overseas, voicing fears that the Confederation may find their own weapons turned against them should any opponent seek to operate in their harsh environment on equal terms. The reaction of state governments has been decidedly more mixed, with some supportive of the planned economic expansion, whilst others wonder if this sort of over-arching government economic policy isn't precisely what the Confederation wished to avoid when independence was declared.

Foreign Minister to go to Greater Korea:
Today the Foreign Ministry announced that the Foreign Minister Jong Liao is going to Greater Korea to meet with the Korean Government. According to the official statement, they were to discuss a potential free-trade agreement and the overall economic condition in East Asia. We will keep you updated on any events as they happen.

Chinese Foreign Minister Jong Liao shall get an impressive welcome to Greater Korea. General Kim, with 5,000 soldiers, shall greet the Chinese Foreign Minister and the Army shall parade before him. He will then travel to Seoul to meet with His Imperial Highness, Emperor Hwang Jang Le himself, as the Emperor wishes to direct himself the negotiations with China.

History: The Grand Republic of the Yucatán was founded in 1936 by our glorious leader Eduardo Carlos Estévez Campos. Formerly a high-ranking army official, he was stationed on the Southern border at the time the government collapsed. At that point, he decided to help bring order back to Mexico. Cuba, Guatemala, and other countries also fell at this time, so Estévez sent troops to conquer help them. Many riches were givin to him, allowing him to build his mansion worth millions of Pesos. He is so popular, no other candidates have dared to run against him.

Central America had the most provinces non adjacent to PCs with 4 and 4 islands. Central Asia has 2 and West Africa has 4 and only 1 island. You also are the country with the most adjacent country at 6 and you also are likely to get at least 1 province in Canada. This means you are pretty much guaranteed at least 10 provinces, more than almost every other country.
