Ancient Middle East (+India and Greece) mod

However I hope some people will help me and give me some advice or something because I don't know nearly enough about Middle Eastern history.

I'm from Iran (Persia). So naturally I know quite a bit about the middle east. I've also studied ancient history out of interest. So If you have any questions I don't mind helping (to the extent of my knowledge). Let me know.

I have a very bad problem...now the game crashes when I go to the next turn, the first turn after 3000 BC!(Civilization IV has stopped working...)
It crashes in both scenario and game mode...what could it be?
What would be the possible causes for this?
This has never happened in any mod before this, this is quite depressing and demotivating.
Also, this does not happen (or has ever happened) on any other mod I've played/made) and also not in the base game (BtS).

Is it the Change of Leader thing? Take out the CvEventManager.py file out of your mod and see if you can continue a saved game.

Also, which gamespeed are you playing? Have you tried to change a gamespeed recently?

Normal gamespeed. Nope, I haven't messed with the gamespeed. The problem doesn't seem to be python, I can take out the whole python folder and everything still crashes. It seems to be an xml problem.
Also tried to take only the eventmanager out, didn't help. Can't load a savegame because "failed to compress date" or something like that.
What XML thing could be causing this?

or an art problem.

Try a custom game with a debug dll (not the map as it would be for 18 civs).

This is supposing that you don't have a fancy custom dll.

All buildings work properly, I don't know about the units however. Could this really be the problem? On the first turn I can see all units properly, and no city can build a unit in 1 turn.

18 civs? I have a DLL for 60+ civs.
I did as you suggested, still crashes, though when the game (Init XML?) loads it gives me some error messages.

The error messages did not give you a clue? Wait, your mod starts in 3000 BC so it's really at the first turn. What have you changed lately? Civics?

The art could be a wrong button. When the city looks into the things to build, it can crash at that time, not especially in producing a unit, just when the choice appears.

Nope.

It's not art either, all buttons work fine.
It's not in the XML of the buildings or units. I deleted every single building except for the palace, still crashes. I deleted every single unit, except for warrior, settler, lion and worker and still crashes. Both also still crashes.
What else could it be?
EDIT:Found the culprit: it was a tech that required itself to be researched)

I didn't see that you edited your last post.

Good finding! :) It happened to me a long time ago. It doesn't show up as an xml error and the debug dll does not find it either.

Well, you can suggest some UBs or UUs (or maybe even unique powers). I currently need some UU for the Old Kingdom of Egypt and an UU and UB for Israel, Nubia, Sumeria and Elam and an UB for Babylonia (ziggurat is now a "cathedral" and a garden will no longer be an unique building).
Also some new pics:

I recolored the Great Pyramids because they were originally white. It would also be nice to do that with the Sphinx and Abu Simbel (both originally painted), but that's more difficult.

I have some problem with the scoreboard, while it scrolls, it is not nearly large enough to display all the names of the civs. (and I haven't met all civs yet!)

Any idea how to fix this?

Try this one here, I extracted the code from Platyping's Ultrapack.

Tell me if this works for your mod and if you like it. I would then merge it properly with your file.

Sorry I don't really like it, I just think it's much nicer to see the names of the civilizations.

No problem. But does it work correctly, can you scroll down all civs?

If yes, I can try to adapt it tomorrow to put back the names of the civs, to make it look the classical way.

Yeah, it works. But I would really prefer the state religion and other stuff behind the names.

I can't get it to work properly, either by adapting Platy's to yours or vice-versa.

Sorry.

That's disappointing. Well I guess I'll have to ask someone else then. But nobody seems to reply to my post in the quick modding questions thread.
Thank you anyway, you tried at least.

I tried and I decided that I will continue to try. I don't want to give up as I thought of something during the night...

I can't promise anything though.

After several hours of struggle, I don't know anymore if it was extraordinarily difficult or extraordinarily easy...

I think I'm on the right track, now.

Please check this one. Don't hesitate to give me your remarks. It follows the logic of your score board but was redesigned as follows:

Python revamp: Platyping (95%), me (5%)
Blood, Sweat & Tears: me (95%), Platyping (5%)

Actually, it took me less than an hour to do a full revamp.
After which, it is nothing much to modify anything there.
So neither blood nor tears on my part actually.
