Courts Rule Against Gay marriage....

let people live in peace. who is it hurting if i wanna marry my boyfriend? really its such a simple question, but nobody can really answer it. the problem as i see it is fundamentalists, and the fact this country wants to be a theocracy, but can't fully become one (yet). just let it go bro, dude, cuz, blood, honey,...

I can see this only with the Evangical Conservative Protestant Churches. While Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, The Anglican Communion (However the issue is divided between Angicans) would just have non-violent protests with nuns and monks praying infront of the courthouse or a legislative building.

Yes, I think the Catholics are all rioted out, as it were.

I am getting tired of repeating myself :p. Single unmarried heterosexuals and homosexuals are bound to the rule that they should not have any sexual relations before marriage and homosexuals are called and advised to abstain from sex and live a life of chasity.

Would they be Catholics, yes.

I have said time and time again that a vast majority of people believe that marriage should be only between a man and a woman in this country and this supports that statement even further. The fact that such laws and statutes are being held as consitutional indicates further that no one "rights" are being violated by such laws either.

Again, 45 out of 50 states, polls in the landslide range......as I have said before democracy = majority rules. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Is there anyone out there that still thinks such rulings "unconstitutional?

Hi MobBoss, do you still agree that majority rules for same-sex marriage? Same-Sex Marriage Opinion Polling in 2014

Public opinion polls in the United States since 2010 show majority support for legal recognition of same-sex marriage. Majority public support for same-sex marriage has solidified, as polls since 2010 consistently indicate support above 50%.

What a change in eight short years.

SSM will be a thing through America soon, no matter how many fasts NOM pulls off.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about someone dredging up something stupid I said eight years ago. I said plenty of stupid things last week so no one would be inclined to make the effort.

Hillary has just come around to supporting gay marriage... And she recently admitted her vote for the 2nd Iraqi war was wrong... And after the next election she'll be in favor of medical pot...

I miss Mobby too

Get owned, conservatives!

If the opinion polling is to be believed, which seems to be the point of this little targeted-shame necro, a lot of those conservatives changed their minds. Which is more than can be said of <cough> some.

I am reminded of a comedian defining liberalism as prematurely mainstream. It seems particularly appropriate here.

When they change their minds they move that leading edge. And despite my protestations people here like to slap that label on me and I changed my mind on this particular issue in the 90s. So not exactly bleeding edge, but ahead of any particular state in the union.

Ummm, we are a constitutional republic btw. . . Until this hits the supreme court I wouldn't worry one way or the other. . .Can't we just frickin compromise already?
Why should gays compromise? All they seek is equality before the law.
