I wonder if this is what the voting will be like everytime? All of you are so afraid of losing your position that you vote to keep the status quo. If so, this is going to get kinda boring as it is only a mask of real voting. It's like RT's story where you only theoretically have the right to vote but in reality, if you vote wrong, you lose power. The thing is, you don't realize that if a sizable amount of people vote for something else, then you don't lose power.
OCC: This happens only in government revolutions to represent history, and obviously in organisation revolutions, because it is tied to the participation system. Noone will lose his/her position in other revolutions.
In final analysis, this is just a story. Noone is denied participation, even if you lose your position. Anyone can control a city (as long as we have unregistered cities), and all are accepted in the royal council.
However, if we are about to discuss this type of elections, where a "wrong" vote might has a cost, maybe it should be done in an other thread. I wrote this response here, just to make clear how it works in this story.

Actually I voted Traditionalist because I honestly think Organized Religion is better than Fanaticism.

I thought this was more about what factions we might fall into within the Royal Court. I personally prefer Organized Religion both from a a roleplaying and a gameplay view.
If we really want change then a bit of pre-planning on the group could go a long way.
