Dawn of Russians

I say Prussia and Anatolia.

I feel that the Karelian front would let us enforce our ancestral claims while the Caucasian front would give us a route to assist our ally Iran.

Better late than never.

My orders are to add a lighthouse, aqueduct, and theatre to the building queue.

Ok. But you can post it in the Konstantinopel thread. I read it regularly.

118 screenshots (well some will not be uploaded). Updates are coming!

Anatolian front:
Most generals of Russia agreed that Anatolian front was the most important. Ottoman empire and Ming dynasty were responsible for this war. The Ming were already punished, now it was the time of Ottomans.

The panislamic armies died in the siege of Konstantinopel. The medieval armies could do nothing versus the specialised and professional russian rifles.

Egypt agreed to sign a peace treaty and restore russoegyptian relations. They couldn't see their batallions being crashed.

Russian army marched into Anatolia and sieged Ankara.

They captured it some years later.

Ottoman empire was punished for their insults against Russia. They wanted Konstantinopel, but instead they lost Ankara and paid war conpensations.

OGl2zt2.jpg

Congress of Trabzon was immediately held. Other powers saw they could do nothing, so they accepted status quo Iran made peace with Ottomans.

Polish front:

It seems Swedish use their spies to conduct war. At least Sankt-Peterburg wasn't poisoned again.

TxkUuoX.jpg

R2N2aXr.jpg

Unfortunately, Poland was conquered by Germany mading their own way against Russia. Catherine should bring the army back quickly from Anatolia.

Germany tried to take advantage of Russian army's absence. They failed, and the remainants of these attempts were destroyed by Russian counteroffencive.

Germans brought all their cannons unescorted in russian territory. Russian army took advantage of this mistake and destroyed them completely.

u1ozX17.jpg

Catherine closed the Polish front. Germany was strong, so fighting them would be disastrous at this point. However, Russia should prepare for the next russo-german war for sure.

Russo-german relations reestablished.

Siberian front:
TZM7ZtY.jpg

Some spare battalions were present in Siberia. Although, they succeded the surprise they stook during winter and failed. However, thingswere dangerous, because these battalions could capture siberian cities if they knew it.

Chinese front:

Russian army captured two cities of strategic importance in China. Xian and Nanjing were so important in the east like Konstantinopel in the west. Eastern chinese army was ordered to not proceed even further in China.

In Xian, the traditional capital of China, russians found many ancient chinese documents. Russian professors studied these documents and were amased. Some chinese practises were better than what we already know. The most important was the system of chinese autarky. Chinese autarky was applied immediately in Russia. Although Catherine expected a lot more, this old and traditional system helped russian economy to stand the increased maintainance costs.

Thailand signed peace treaty with Russia, although no battle happened between the two kingdoms.

Karelian front:

Swedish army was small and couldn't keep the city. Russia annexed Finland.

pw6UhK8.jpg

Sweden paid war conpensations to end the war. Russo-swedish relations restored.

Fins weren't happy with the result and revolted periodically. However, they could do nothing more.

Mughal front:
EoIxD8H.jpg

Mughal army started to threten our ally, Iran. Russians halted them in Termiz.

Mughals lost the battle of Termiz and Russians marched deep in Mughal territory and started the siege of Lahore.

6kyY0E1.jpg

Meanwhile, Mughals sieged Herat. Russians helped the weak Iranian army to defend the city.

7ya71tE.jpg

The war reached a stall. However, cavalry was coming from Russia, so this would change soon.

Russians started to win both fronts.

Mughals lost the battle of Lahore and the city was captured by Russians.

Mughals agreed with the result and requested peace. Russo-mughal relations were restored and the traditional russomughal deals started again.

However, Iran was still at war with Mughals. So Catherine gifted them one of our elite battalions to help them.

Mediterranean front:

Athens finished the new mediterranean navy and destroyed the spanish raiders.

So, a russo-spanish peace was signed.

End of the war and restoration of foreign relations:

Finally the russoenglish peace treaty was signed in 1771, 16 years after congress of Kopenhagen. This treaty was the official end of the war for Russia.

This war remained in history as the "16 years war" in Russia, however it continued in other parts of the world. Prussia and Iran were still at war with many other kingdoms.

Results of the war:

Russia gained land in China, central Asia, Anatolia and Scandinavia.

The results weren't so bad after all for the Russian economy and stability. However, Russia should find a way to fund research somehow.

9SvrZZT.jpg

In this war Alexander Suvorov proved to be the best russian general. He fought in almost all fronts and became known for his courage and military inginuity.

Ivan Starov was born in this turbulent era. He stationed in Kiev waiting the war to be finished.

Patriarchate of Konstantinopel tried to seize control of the christian community over pope. It was a historical chance to reunite christianiy. Pope refused to unite under patriarchate of Konstantinopel, although many bisops joined the movement.

Professors studied the russian economy and developped new theories. Hopefully their work will help Russian economy to be reconstructed.

These studied concluded to a new economic system. A new movement begun in Russia. Merchants wanted to hire farmers in their workshops. According to the new system, people should be paid for their work and in exchange they can buy what they need.

Revolution fractions:
Agrarianists: 1
+1:comerce: per farm
+1:hammers: per pasture
+25% faster workers

Capitalists: 7
+10%:commerce:
+2:commerce: per town
can buy buildings

People are allowed to find job on their own and to be paid for that. Farmers flow in cities to find well-paid jobs, while some remain behind liking the traditional way of life.

The world after the 16 years war:
Spoiler :
IJJweTr.jpg

We paid a lot of war conpensation, but we conquered much land. Foreign relations are fully restored, and the exports flow.

Our spies inform us that all the world researches rifles. Our army is mostly cavalry, but it can't beat rifles easily, so we need to train a rifle army for the moment.

Strangely, we can pay maintainance and fund slightly our research. However, we shall find a way to increase our research rate. I'm afraid we should gift some cities away. Although I think should keep some of them for the next congress (however, we have no city to give to Germany, which means we might need to fight a new great war again).

Our professors request to fund some of their projects.

What shall we do with Alexander Suvorov and Ivan Starov?

EDIT:
Our empire has grown large and wide. I plan to build a summer palace to better administrate the far parts of the empire. Where should we build the summer palace?

I think we can build a traiding company to establish better control in our colonies. Where should we build the headquarters?

In case of a new congress I'm almost sure Germans will request Lwow or even worse Kiev or Sankt-Peterburg. Personally, I am not willing to give any of these three. So I estimate that we will fight a new great war, so no need to give away any city. But, let's say that Germans don't make such a request or that we succeed to shot the request down by any means.

In this case are we willing to give away any city?

It seems your domestic stability is the problematic part.

I would suggest spreading orthodoxy (which you're already doing) and focusing on Amphitheaters and Theatres to put a 20% on culture slider.

Maybe it'll be a good idea to recreate China? Lahore should be given back I guess (Mughals won't take part on the congress, right?)

I would like to give Lahore back to Iran, when they end the war with Mughals. But if the council says so I will do it.

I think stability isn't a problem. Unfortunately Mughals took part in the previous Congress.

Found the engineer in Uglich. He would do well there.

I would give Lahore back, not for stability but for diplomacy. It's almost useless where it is.

Agrarianists

I request control over Athens.

Do we have the ability to see oil? Also, is Oregon claimed?

Yeah do that. I agree with TheNoob. Screw India!
