You still have it as a proposal. He read it perfectly fine. He never said you were forcing it, he simply said you wish to change it. Also, this is politics.

Also, my full name is Grigoryevich Orlov.

Thanks Orlov, that's exactly what I would've answered (although in other words)

I present to you

The Democracy party

We whole heartily support constitutional monarchies (The father that was an atheist killed himself so i'm role playing as his son) and here is our policies:

Democracy: We believe that we should spread constitution monarchism to everywhere by both peacefully and forcing. We should ally ourselves with constitution monarchists. We also believe in limiting queen/king and nobles power based on the pillars of the constitution.

Economy: We also support massive urbanization proposed by the National Party of Russia and we believe that we should build banks, markets and other economical buildings in all wealthy cities. Till then, we support more taxes (i know we can't do that but it's nice for role play) and lowering our research fund.

Military: We must build more units to prepare ourselves in case of any attack

On diplomacy with Germany: We must see if they accept constitution monarchism. If yes, then ally with them and we will be safe. If no, then prepare ourselves for any attacks

On Britain asking for help against the Mughals: If Britain is a constitutional monarchy, then help them. If not, then stay neutral.

On Germany asking for help against the Ottomans: If relations get better, then help them. If not, stay neutral.

Moving our capital: We oppose relocation our capital to Kiev, proposed by the National Party of Russia, because it would have a devastating impact on both the economy and stability.

We believe that we should have much more free market and we should equalize women with men (if they aren't). We also believe in neutrality as long as the person asking us to help is a constitutional monarchy. We also believe that religion should NOT have any influence in the government as many theories came that god doesn't exist. We also support federalization.

Ha! Arrogant child, God says the same about yourself and your 'theories'. Of course, as always, it is He who is right and you who are wrong. Not to mention that, in disputes with God, there has only ever been one winner. Repent of your folly before it is too late!

OOC: are you serious about calling me a Arrogant child or no? After all, i am role playing.

IC: Yes. God doesn't exist. How can you prove God? Their sis no proof that god exists. And we can build a wonderful society without god. You people just want power. Although we fully support for people to pray to god, most of our members are atheist but we allow anyone from any religion.

Why non voting member? Posting a new party counts as a valid vote and as announcement of your membership to that party, so you will be a fully functional member of Duma.

IS THIS THE FACE OF DEMOCRACY?
Armenian peasant ‘priest’ smoulders into Duma

To our fair city he comes, on the public coach, like a tradesman. Yet this man, from the remote Caspian steppe, calling himself Grigori Yefimovich Tchernin, has been elected to the Duma. His platform is an intriguing one, based on turning the clock back to a simpler time, when Orthodoxy – and the monarchy – were never in question. How ironic that so mean and unlikely a candidate should be elected on a platform that seems tantamount to abolishing the very Duma that gives him his voice.

The man himself indeed is more intriguing still. He is dressed always entirely in black, just like a priest (although we can confirm he is certainly not one). His hair and beard appear never to have been cut (or indeed washed!), and hang down about his face like some sort of ashen willow. Were he not dressed as a Christian cleric, one might be tempted to imagine oneself accosted by one of Genghis’ horde!

But gaze once into his eyes, and you will know the quality that brings him out of obscurity to the Duma – and may yet take him farther still! His dark eyes erupt into fiery intensity as he tells you his beliefs and goals, speaking of his love for his mother Russia and his heavenly Lord and Master. Then, as he falls silent, those same eyes take on an impossibly unnerving emptiness – or I should say, depth – as his gaze appears to transcend the bounds of this world, in search of further spiritual direction from beyond.

Already, while he is but a young man perhaps no more than thirty years alive, already his people call him ‘starets’ (a title which he, with disarming modesty, rejects for himself), and I have even heard some comparing him to the formerly incomparable Sergius.

Well, as yet his party has but one seat in the Duma. It is tempting to write him off – as many have already done – as a peasant, a Turk or even a madman. But before you esteem him as of no account, you would do well to meet him once, face to face. Appraise those eyes of which I have told you, as you would a rare gem, for I am sure that none who meet his gaze will fail to apprehend a formidable soul, one for whom even the sky may not be the limit.

Ok. Thanks :D

National Party of Russia (Manuel Angelos):
*mass urbanization, mines and lumbercamps in Siberia, give Lahore to the Mughals, and Alaska to Britain.
*support France and Ottomans against Germans, (boycot Germans with spies)
*stop military development
*referendum: move capital to Kiev

I updated that. I forgot too earlier

Why does everyone want to move to Kiev??? It's a bad idea.

Woops, I misread VGL's thing. I thought it said he was FOR moving it to Kiev. :p

Why does everyone want to move to Kiev??? It's a bad idea.

For the last time, I DON'T WANT TO MOVE TO KIEV! I"M DOING THIS MOVE TO FULFILL A PROMISE! I DON'T HAVE ANY ILLUSION THAT THIS BILL WILL PASS IN THE DUMA!

You seem like you could use a debate. Why don't you come and debate

Chill DKVM. I'm just saying it's a bad idea.

Wilhelm Borys: So hear this Feodor Suvorov (Matthias I) - Prince of Ukraine and Poland, the promise is actually a referendum to move the capital to your birth city, not a guaranteed act. Perhaps things weren't as they seemed to be? We know that you voted for the National Party, but it's never too late to change sides. We are the true respectful party of Tradition, not Angelos and his unitarian and dubious views.

OOC: BTW, why some people don't have their rp names displayed and other do have? I want my name there :p

the promise is actually a referendum

The promise was a referendum but I requested as the Tsar to be made a bill in Duma instead. A referendum will be too expensive to be put on public vote.

Ok, let's make it clear. I won't move my personal residence. Moreover, I won't accept to be decided by a referendum or Duma, it is just redicolous. I decide where I want to stay at nights.

However, Duma can discuss where Duma hearquarters and over public services should be (OOC: the "palace" building). Duma and I are responsible for that and the coversation should be discussed there. Since there isn't any such bill proposal deposited in Duma, I consider there is no such matter for the time being.
