TURN 3
Blood runs in the streets of the city after
Isabel Junge and the Bund's violent push to maintain power. Refusing to acknowledge her own removal from position of chief of police or the actions of the Guildhall Convention, Junge's forces marched on the university last night and enforced a violent string of arrests on purported tax evaders, arresting
Joseph Richman, Mogh Martok, Erik von Schmetterschnitzel, Margaret Carnegie, and Oscar Lockwood before engaging in a fight with the People's Aegis that left dozens - including Aegis leader
Rick - dead in the once-revered halls. Several members of the de facto opposition government, including
Regina Flowers, John Roosevelt, and James Wycliffe, managed to flee the scene, and their whereabouts are now unknown. In a subsequent raid upon the insect farm,
Comhgall O'Barrfhion was found to have similarly fled, though not before releasing several swarms of insects across the downtown, many of which officials fear could be harboring deadly diseases.
Elsewhere in the city, things have seemed quieter.
Christopher Knight and the Baker Company have made no comments on the Bund's actions so far, and the raids of the past fall did not reoccur over the winter, though the food shortages of the preceding year led to the deaths of many citizens over the past few months.
Asarte's trial proceeded uneventfully, with Knight serving as judge; her sentence was announced to be a one-year prison sentence and a 5% interest rate on her taxes until they are paid in full, though with her funds having been seized during her arrest, it is unclear how she will pay.
Thomas Arrow has been seen with new ships in his yard, reportedly as a result of negotiations with the raiders - who sent funds to the Guildhall government as a token of goodwill - and has recently begun salvaging those that were sunk in the attacks last year, and the distant farming communities that surround the city have continued to grow.
Funds are up to date, buildings should be fixed later tonight.
Expect PMs shortly.
