Hubba walking over water! :jesus:

This image was taken from a conquest epic game, playing as Scandinavians. I attacked a city with an elite Berserk from a full load caravel. I obtained the GL and then fortified he over water!

Very curious, but it's OK (I asked myself if I could obtain a GL in this situation).

don't let him there for too long or he might catch a cold. :)

You need to send another ship to get him. It happens sometimes when your ship is full and you get a Great leader.

I had this same thing happen once and picked him up quickly because I worried he might sink! Does anyone know if he'll sink if you leave him there, or can he walk on water indefinitely? Can he move ashore if there's a space available or is a ship required?

He can stay there until you pick him up but I think he can be killed by an enemy ship. I don't think he can move ashore a ship is probaly reqried.

Happened in Middle Ages to me, but I made no pic. This should be a candidate for screenshot of the day!

Great screenshot, thanks.

Definite SOTD

Two problems:
a)There doesn't seem to be anymore SOTD
b)This picture has probably already been submitted to SOTD.

Another pic just to show that he can move ashore ;) (the leader is now older, and he had remained over water several years...).

I continued the war against the Aztecs, but their galleys didn´t attack the GL, so I supose this sea square is now a sacred land for them :jesus:

My next plan is to rename the city to "Rio de Janeiro" and wait for the turistic commerce bonus after 1000 years

Hehe, this is even better...^^

I do not know if this really needs a fix, but I think it is better than to get no leaders from seaborne assaults at all.

Perhaps should unit count of leaders for transports be = 0?

By the way you must quickly get him to a city and create a leader or hurry production. If not you won't get another MGL.

Forget Christianity!

Hubba, we worship you!:worship:

And I've already seen this too. Still makes a good screenshot, though.

Something like that happened to me once. I was playing as the danes in the middle ages conquest, and I attacked the english capital from a ship with my berserks. When I captured it I was wondering why I did'nt capture their treasure unit, (the AI rarely moves them out of their capital) but when I moved my ship away, I saw the treasure on the water square, where my ship had just been. When I right-clicked on it, it still said "contact english blah blah...", although I had already defeated all their king units, and the "The english have been destroyed" message already had been there.
