Unit Request: Schooner and Sloop

I need a better UU for the Dutch. The Swiss Mercenaries are good, but well, they're not really Dutch!

So I did a little brainstorming and this little lightbulb lit up: The Dutch have always been gifted seafarers, why not give them a ship as UU?

In fact, why not give them two? A Schooner and a Sloop. Both should be industrial age (18th 19th century) units.

I second this, the age of sail is pretty much forgotten in Civ.
I would also like to see a clipper ship and maybe a windjammer.

It's a shame the Clipper Ship was never fully completed.

And Aaglo is on an extended Vacation from Civland.....

Both the Clipper, Swoop and Schooner were Imperial Age units though...which means late Middle Ages in civ terms. I'd place two under Astronomy(replacing the generic Warship of that era and the Caravel), and the Clipper could replace the Galleon maybe?

Come to think of it, many of Admiral Kraken's units were actually cut-and-paste.....

anyways, I would love more sailing vessels. The Clipper would also be good, but woulden't that be american?

The Clipper and Schooner should be early Industrial Age units, but neither were used for warfare. The clipper could be a transport ship, I guess.

Well, without a death flic, the unit just disappears when it's sunk. But, I'm sure you already knew that. You're just trying to be a smarty pants just like you teased me about the monk thing!

Hey, it happens to the best of us, and by that, I mean it happens to me...

I just thought I should let everybody know, there's a couple of sailing ships including a schooner in the Renderosity Freestuff section... They're for Bryce, so find yourself somebody who works with Bryce. Wyrmshadow is the only one I know of...
