Need reource help

I am wanting to add resources such as silver,jade,llamas and the other ones from the mesoamerican game to the rest of the games. I have made all the changes in the pediacons and civilipeda, but can not figure out how to take the images from one to the other. I have photoshop 7 and I can open them and view them, but I can not figure out how to move them. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was unable to find it. Thanks

It sounds like you have two files and all you want to do is cut from one and paste to the other.

BTW, they are probably going to move this on you as it is in th ewrong forum.

Why don't you post the files and maybe someone will help you.

Pounder thanks for trying to be helpful. I was able to figure out what I needed to do.
Zulu.. People are going to make mistakes. that is why they join the forum to ask questions and to learn.

Let's say you want to copy silver resource from silver.pcx.

FIRST: Back up silver.pcx and resources.pcx file which is in Civ3/Art folder.

1. Open both files: silver.pcx and resources.pcx file which is in Civ3/Art folder.

2. select image with box shaped selection tool (correct name is rectangular marquee tool), whole magenta area inside the light brown border.

3. Press Control-C to copy or choose edit->copy in photoshop

4. select civ3 resources.pcx

5. Press Control-V to paste or choose edit->paste in photoshop. Your cut from silver.pcx appears outlined in middle area of resources.pcx.

6. move the cut with arrow shaped Move Tool to the slot of your choice, so that it fits inside the light brown borders.

7. Deselect by pressing control-D or choose Select->Deselect in Photoshop.

8. Save.

9. Resource appears next time you open Civ3 Editor. If Civ3 editor is open at the same time you saved resources.pcx you edited the resource will not show.
