hello? Where do i download this. I'd really like to try it out.

It was somewhere on this thread, I´ve been trying to look it for you but I can´t find it. The files posted are not enough, you need the whole bunch of files from the first release.

BUGs: Frigate attack and defense are wrong. I checked it in the editor; you have it set to a 2.2.5 boat...

Seems kinda crappy, until you notice that the Man-O-War is a 7.4.1 rock... ;p

LL, I have a feeling we have not been the best of testers if we missed something like that!

In case you missed this one, I am bringin it into the next page ;p

Looking at the new file, I noticed that you've given London a uni (when it didn't have one), but not given one to Aberdeen (which had two). Was this a mistake, or intentional? I should add that I don't actually care very much about such a petty thing, but merely trying to help you with accuracy. I guess London could represent Oxford:D

Here are two links BTW:

http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Ancient-university

http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Medieval-university

Note that Aberdeen's two universities weren't merged until the 19th century

Calgacus : thanks a lot for the infos as I am keen on accuracy. But beyond a certain point I think accuracy might cause some problems of balance or "representation".

Scotland already has a large supply of universities so I decided not to give any to Aberdeen and on the other hand London deserved one, either for Oxford (only Camridge is actually represented on the map) or for the general research there.
2 universities would be impossible to create in one city anyway. And you can have universities of very different sizes.
If I had to make northern Italy in the late Middle-Ages, Bologna obviously would get one university but some other towns also had universities (or schools) but not of the same size.
So this comes down to gameplay choices. Now of course it is much better to do informed choices and I thank you for that.

@all : v0.99 is the last before a long time so if you want to play this scneario even if it is not 100% complete and balanced, you can use this version.

Well, here I´m again, with my disturbing feedback, jejeje...

I started playing as the Spanish and several things looks strange:

1. One of my ships could get the treasure in Antwerpen, but the thing is how the ship would take that treasure to Madrid?

2. The America´s Defense has 1.40 attack/defense values, is that correct?

3. Resources graphics are all wrong:
- Salt graphic says Liquors
- Sheep graphic says Mercenaries
- Crab graphic says Salt
- Fruit graphic says Wool
Is this only happening to me?

1. could be troublesome. Usually you pick up the treasure with a a land unit THEN board the ship (I should cancel Capture flag for ships).

2. Yes, America cannot be invaded (it is an image here) so it has a tremendous defense.
German cities are protected the same way so no need attacking them (the AI understands and does not even try).
It is a way of having these cities in-game but off the conflicts. Check the civilopedia for that unit.

3. Hmmm ! Guess you are not the only one but I don' recall that problem. Do you have the latest TGA update (around post 145) ?

Thanks for the infos. I am listing all pbs now for the v1.0 that won't be up before at least 2-3 weeks (at best).

Regarding Germany, you say those cities can´t be taken, but Germany takes part in the conflicts; moreover, they´ve just razed one of my cities.

I have all the files you´ve been posting here. It´s the first time I have this problem.

Anyway, looking better. :goodjob:

Yeah, i've noticed the same thing; i think it has something to do with the addition of liqours.

Also, the civilopedia has a messed up link in it; the musket upgrade trail ends in musketeer (no s) instead of musketeers (with s and correct stats/picture). Actual upgrade path is correct.

To keep the Germans from being agressive, just don't let them build any units; their defensive ones should be more than sufficient.

You know Aeon I might just as well do that for the SP version if they prove to be real pains (and apprently they proved it with Hamah).

Anyway Hamah, since you were interested in the period, any overall judgement ?
Realistic, fun, complicated, too directive, unbalanced (except for the Irish who are supposed to be unbalanced) ?

I don´t know much about this period, but I´ve been doing some research and I really like it, I think it´s accurate. Any nation you play is very challenging, for the land position, the special units and the alliances. It IS difficult indeed, but I think that makes the game very interesting.

I don´t think any nation is unbalanced, not even the Irish who, when I played as England, were fully conquered by me and I got the point victory on turn 30; they were very easy to conquer once I landed many musketmen, men at arms and pikemen.

It´s one of the best mods I´ve played. :goodjob:

BUENO! That gives me some hope for the PBEM game... the last game I finished was 8 or 9 changes ago... which may mean three days ago ;p

But yeah this is an AMAZING scenario! Probably gonna equal to the WWII el-mency or WWI Sav&Roc scenarios for quality if it ever gets done ;p

Sooo foochie!

Yeah, England looks stronger in the latest version, got some more units in England it seems.

No, same units I think. Its just that Scotland has a WHOLE lot less units than I ever knew. Not even defenders in all cities.

I would probably be best served by ignoring the Irish and uniting England and Scotland, considering that Ireland has 20 some Gallows but will never get more, while Scotland has 10-15 units total and will certainly get more!

I dunno what England should do, but the safest option, IMHO, is to invade Scotland and pull every troop possible out of Ireland. Sea landings with Men at Arms would be more than effective against Gallows, and the Spanish transports cannot escape well managed Sea Dogs.

Just a strategy outline based on what I have observed ;p

That´s a good idea, for I conquered Ireland but left the Scots for the bitter end. And that was my mistake. Although they could never break me, cause I was too powerful for them, I tried conquering them and was to difficult for me too. They certainly improve Techs as fast as a human player does and that doesn´t make it good for England.

Personaly, the nation I enjoy the most is England: it´s strategic position makes it difficult to attack and something else I can´t say, not because I don´t want, but simply because I don´t know.
