With Abbysina I'd follow a more historic approach (although I am also abbysinia in anothe NES), while with Hawaii I'd do things totally different than what actually hapened.

As far as I care both countries are on the fringes of civilization. Just make sure someone in Japan actually goes for maritime expansion, and they almost always do (stupid people - why can't they just close their country and sink all ocean-going ships just for once?
), and the situation will both be not fundamentally different from Abyssinia's (one of the Acknowledged Civilizations is expanding from the north/west whilst barbarians from the south/east are causing problems) AND original because of the maritime setting.Up to him, I guess, but IMHO you should allow him to start in Hawaii.

He can start in hawaii if he wants, its up to him, but if he was letting me pick, i was gonna say Abyssinia.
EDIT: btw, I believe sheep played hawaii in some fresh start nes a while back. it was actually a world power, he played them good. that is, until i brought up an alliance against him

of course you can join, but dont expect for this to be up for the next couple days. you may pick an npc from the map with names (or even stats) on the first page, or you can make your own. If you'd like me to help u choose, the east could use some more players .

and where is "kru se" ?
Kru Se is also called Kampong Grisek, if that helps. I believe that it is on the southwestern coast of OTL Malaysia, but I can't find it in my atlas. Maybe the capital could be Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, both cities were in the lands of the Malay.
