Update I
Will it Start?
Spain rebuilds itself.
Spain has begun to rebuild itself after the ravages of the Civil War. To grand projects were launched to rebuild the nation. Automobile and Road Industries are also being renovated and expanded largely using the German model. The Civil War in the minds of the people is largely over. Remaining Republican forces amounting to little more than two divisions have reassembled in France and reportedly left overseas. No trace of armed opposition was reported in the whole of Spain in the past two months.
The research Academy found in Madrid proved a good ground for future research. All it needs now is a few good goals.
The Spanish Army is being rebuilt and increased in numbers. It is now amounting to over 550,000 men.
East
. 1931-1937-1939, is peace possible?
After virtual 8 years of Japanese-Chinese war the government of Chen Kai Shek finally agreed to sign a peace treaty. Whether or not the German mediation was crucial in signing the treaty the fact remains: one of the largest conflicts of Earth is now over. Japan emerged a clear victor in the war, however it is now facing a problem of administering a large Chinese territories with big and largely hostile population. China now faced with a humiliating defeat seems to have won one asset: it can now focus all its attention on the internal problems. World community, especially in the United States welcomed an end of this war. However in both previously warring nations a large portion of the military still views that the war must go on. A few armed clashes happened on the new border after the peace was signed. They can escalate unless disciplining measures are taken by both governments.
The Kuomintang Government initiated a Grand Army Reform, while taking control of the territories abandoned by the Japanese and weak warlords.
Japan is currently in hibernation evaluating its victory in the Chinese war and setting plans for the future. One important development is the creation of Kwantung-type Infantry division, suitable for operations in Manchurian and Chinese plains and mountains with significant increase in artillery and mobility. Kwantung army is now being re-organised. Theres also talk of Yamamoto-II type battleship being dsigned as far as world intelligences were able to find out.
Hungary war imminent?
Hungary has mobilized over 300,000 men. Hungarian economy is under strain. Analysts predict that Hungary will enter into war soon. Any sort of war because in a country like Hungary 300,000 armed men mean something!
Brazil invades Paraguay and Uruguay
World Democracies were shocked and considering all options. Brazil might be excluded from LoN if the attack doesnt stop.
Campaign went well for Brazilians with over 400 planes smashing Paraguayan Airforce completely in the first weeks of the war. Followed by massive attack of motorized formations and tanks, supported by infantry. Armies of both states were nearly crushed once the mobilization was announce. However few were brave to answer the call. Unless something changes soon the remaining pockets of resistance will be overrun in the next 3 months.
[Brazilian losses: 2 Infantry, 1 Motorized Divisions, Paraguay Losses: 2 Infantry, 1 Interceptor, Uruguay Losses: 3 Infantry, 1 Cavalry]
Spanish speaking nations of South America and enraged with Brazil, while local population either regard the war as good for Brazil and action aimed at taking a right place on the continent, or are indifferent towards it. Populations of Uruguay and Paraguay are shocked and nearly paralyzed with the attacks. It will be a while before they can get used to it.
Finland Becomes a Monarchy!
Thats all

The change went smoothly welcomed by most of the population. Together with moderate military budget and policy of reconciliation towards former communists Finland is doing very well for itself.

Danzing Visit
The Danzig visit by the delegations of the four powers was prepared by the Polish authorities as thoughtfully as it possible could have been done. Streets were wiped, events and gifts prepared. Among the events were visit the Mayor's office, where a choir of school-children sang Poland's national anthem, motorcade guide around Danzig, stopping off in the industrial zone, the shopping zone and the finest restaurant, in the evening. All delegates were pleased with a visit (the biggest delegation of course coming from the Soviet Union), the Germans seemed to be worrying a lot about security. However despite the fact that two Polish nationalists blew themselves up while trying to get through the cordon of security the Visit ended in peace. Italy expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that she was not invited.
Polish-Soviet Reconciliation
It seems as though both nations are willing to put aside their disagreements and events of 1919-1925. Numerous visits of good relations were organized by the Soviets and a few by Poles. Relations seem to be improving between the two. Should Germany feel threatened?
Coup in Yugoslavia!
Dictator Stojadinovic replaced by Josip Broz Tito. In a coup supported by the military the Communist Party of Yugoslavia ceased the Kings palace and declared him out of power. A trial of the King and a lot of his known supporters in the government and military happened shortly (too soon to the taste of many). King was found of crimes against the naion and executed along with 5 other people. Many others got significant imprisonments. Shortly after the coup an election was held where the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (CPY) got 78% of the votes. Apart from national parties there was almost opposition and thus a new government was formed. The whole revolution was relatively not bloody, which proved that the previous government was not popular. A 5-Year industrialization plan similar to the ones in the Soviet Union was implemented. Time will show if current policies appeal to the masses.
6 Year Reich!
The big news from Germany were that the 1000 year Reich totally and completely incorporated the Czech Republic into itself as Reichsprotektorat of Bohemia & Moravia. The independence of Czehia is now dealt with. How will the majour powers react to that? Czehia gave an enormous boost to German economy. In fact as soon news of incorporation spread Hitler was seen in Prague inspecting the booty. It is evident that German need for raw materials will increase at the same or greater pace of military orders increase. It would have to get more and more foreign currency and gold to pay for the import of resources (something that few European powers had at the time). It is clear that acquisition of Czehia was vital for Germany.
[Germany +Czehia, - 1 Popularity (average with the Czech feelings about new government]
German SS Forces have increased in number and range of activities truly becoming the elite military of the nation. German military production also increased with allocation of special resources to the military industry. No Czech resistance is yet reported in the occupied area.

Netherlands
3 months After
It seemed as though the political situation in the Netherlands remained as it is. No civil war followed the revolution and the split of the country. However both new nations are very confused about the whole situation. Military of the Southern Democratic Regime is being reorganized and increased in order to defend the land effectively. The Northerners rely on voluntary conscription and are less effective. It seems as though militarily the Democrats have the edge after the split. In the two biggest cities in the North the Democratic supporters were forced to quit their jobs. This created unrest in the area and reflected on efficiency. Fascists tried to gain local support by winning the hearts of the Dutch people. It seemed to work. [+1 Popularity] The South it seems to be preparing for the worst as it seems.
Border Incident
German troops on the border with Poland came under artillery fire from the Polish side. The military outpost suffered extensive damage, but was able to return fire. The troops dispatched reported to see dead Polish troops. The incident was immediately reported to Berlin. Berlin said we will not leave this without a response.
Political Crisis in Australia!
Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies has been removed from office following a scandal involving the military. Due to security reasons the details are classified, but in the journalists now know that the Prime Minister put up a plan to attack a nation backing it with a claim that we have the power, why not?. Generals immediately reported the matter and following a vote of no confidence R. Menzies was removed from power, as the deputies thought he is unable to run the country. Such attitudes are unacceptable in a Democracy said one of them. A new leader should be elected in the next 3 months to fill the gap. In the meanwhile the confidence in Australian government is lowered.

Civil War in Netherlands
Started with small skirmishes and border fights, when something happened that turned it into a bigger war.
Germany Invades Netherlands
..sorry aids the rightful government of Fascist Netherlands
With the forces of SS units and aided by the Luftwaffe Germans crossed the border. Despite a sure assumption that the Dutch Democratic military is a joke and will be outnumbered the Germans were VERY surprised to see a military force that opposed them. However this impression lasted only a few days when the Germans figured out that despite the fact that Dutch army relied heavily on tanks it used partisan tactics as a means to beat the invaders. It was impossible for the Germans to catch Dutch Airforce on the ground ( the civil war already started duh!) so they suffered heavy looses trying to support the troops at the hands of Dutch Interceptors. SS Formations and Fascist Forces were heavily bombed. Dutch Civil War gave rise to Volunteer and Militia formations. They were more numerous in the South as Democrats were seen as a force defending the country from German Imperialism. At current rate only not total commitment of the Fascists, logistic mistakes of the Germans and tactical mistakes of the Democrats allowed the fighting to go on for as long as it did without a clear winner. The Democrats however did loose ground. British expeditionary Force has arrived closer to the end of summer and placed itself in Southern Netherlands. They had no orders to attack German forces, but helped reinforce positions of the Democrats.
[German Losses: 2 SS Infantry, 3 SR-Bombers; Democratic Losses: 3 Infantry, 3 L-Tanks, 1 Interceptor, 1 SR-Bomber; Fascist Losses: 1 Infantry, 1 Volunteer Infantry, 1 Interceptor]
First inter-Dutch navy battle did not determine a clear winner with both sides loosing a lot of ships. [Fascist Losses: 1 Battleships, 2 Cruisers, 4 Destroyers, 1 Submarine; Democratic Looses: 1 Battleship, 2 Cruisers, 5 Destroyers]
German Invasion of Poland
In response to Polish attack on the German outpost the Wehrmacht later moved into Poland (4 July 1939). German Luftwaffe took out most of the Polish Airforce with a sudden strike in the early morning. Immediately after German Blitzkrieg forces invaded Poland from all directions. The city of Danzig was captured in the matter of a day when severely outnumbered and demoralized single Polish division finally surrendered. Dazing operation marked the single biggest German sea based invasion in history. Polish navy was overwhelmed.
5 German motorized spearheads tore Poland advancing to their objectives. Demoralized and uncoordinated Polish Army was ill-prepared for resistance. Few Polish airplanes were able o take off and entered into a desperate air battle with the overwhelming Luftwaffe. By July 14th the German army was able to capture Dazing, Dazing Corridor, Posan, nearly approach Warsaw and Krakow. The Poles lost 30% of their active military forces and were suffering from no coordination and lack of space behind them to regroup and prepare for sufficient defense. There was no talk of counter-attack of any sort. At his moment Red Army with a force of 50 divisions attacked Poland from the East. On July 16th the German Army captured Warsaw with the help of Airborne divisions that held the bridges, on the 17th Wehrmacht occupied Krakow. All primary objectives were thus accomplished and the plan entered into a second stage of invasion. By the beginning of August all Polish divisions were crushed and the country divided between two aggressors.
A total of 41 Polish divisions were crushed in the war with over 200,000 killed or captured troops. German troops lost a total of 79,000 and Soviet 56,000.
[Polish Looses: all military forces: 25 Infantry, 8 Cavalry, 4 L-tank, 2 M-Tank, 2 H-Tank, 1 Cruiser, 6 Destroyers, 5 Interceptors, 4 Fighters, 7 SR-Bombers; German Looses: 9 Infantry, 4 Motorized, 1 Cavalry, 3 L-Tank, 2 H-Tank, 1 Cruiser, 3 Destroyers, 5 SR-Bombers, 1 Interceptor, 2 Fighter; Soviet Looses: 7Infantry, 1 Motorized, 3 L-Tank, 1 M-Tank, 2 SR-Bomber]
Other News
Germans are growing increasingly weary with communism. why ask they we tolerate their presence?
Switzerland announced total and complete neutrality in any future conflicts that may arise in Europe.
Industries of several world nations have boomed due to foreign investment. Among those are Brazil and Turkey.
French mechanized and motorized forces have seen the biggest increase in the past 7 years.
All the same in the good old USSR: Purges, arrests continue, cult of personality flourishes, production continues.
Britain has been strengthening her army and its presence in the colonies, with militaries of some colonial governors being doubled or tripled.
Militaries of many European nations are reorganized based, funny enough on the German model. It also corresponds with the rise of nationalist feelings in those countries.
Colonial News
French relations with the colonies seemed to have improved with colonial governments carrying out instructions as precise as possible.
Revolt in Tanzania!!!! Locals rose up against the British rule. They seem to be very well equipped, but untrained and disorganized. Their main slogan we want our freedom now!!!
Future of Dutch colonies in pending as their governors do not know what orders to follow. Both colonies however seem to be more pro-Democratic than pro-Fascist.
OOC:
@All: This is not an alert of any sorts, but I found it very useful when you put country names in your orders. If something happens for example in Italy I use Word search to find out if any other orders are concerned with that as well. Please continue doing that

.
@Also: Position of USA is open to any new players and anyone who already plays a
non majour nation.
@nonconformist: sorry

it is hard, but you were fighting with overwhelming forces and no plan of defense. Historically Poland was crushed very quickly. Id love you to stay as either Polish resistance or some other NPC nation.
@Toteone I implemented as much military raise as it is possible in a Democracy, considering the fact that people are somewhat skeptical. Youve recruited over 70,000 in times of peace remember.
@Kalthzar: You spend EC the same way youd spend economy AND industries you would in other NESes: finance projects, pay for research, invest into better production, pay salaries and so on. They regenerate every turn (3 months). If you are still unclear PM me plz.
@Grandmaster: In case you are wondering not all Czech EC was added (75%) due to looting, sabotage or current disorganization in production.
@Finmaster and Lord Iggy: I was wrong when divided Netherlands as I think I gave each of you 100% of its ECs. I did not cut your orders, but now I cut the industries to 25 each (from 40). Sorry for that.
Overall I found this to be a little more difficult than I originally thought. But I love the way the first turn went very interesting twists. Anyways when I said the update is on the weekend I did mean it. Writing it is a matter of motivation and it takes me some time to get into it. Anyways I hope I did not miss anything. Im open to all complains, suggestions and the like. And no Panda Ill keep the map I have simply because it is easier that way.
PS. Apparently the position of Italy is also open under the same conditions
