I'm here, soon to be there.
This one took about 5 minuets to recolor and package.

Unpack and place into:

Yeap, those viewpoint models might be a touch much for the game engine to use and could crash the game on low end machines. Luckily I learned how to model a low poly character using the book “Modeling a character in 3DS Max” by Paul Steed, this book allowed me to make my own models for Battle Field 2. Using the same techniques and principles it is possible to make models work for Civ 4 on low end machines.

Yeah you’re right it does look sort of plain, but the attached picture was an in game screen shot and I had to reduce every graphic setting to the lowest before my video card burned up... So the detail is not showing properly in the picture.

Here is a compared picture, the one on the left is from this file converted to *jpg and opened in Photoshop, and the one on the right is the same picture viewed by the fax/modem viewer that looks the same as what the preview shows in the .DDS converter.

So I don't know what the deal is going on with these graphics, I'll have to update it when I get the time.

We need some black Apaches or whatever it is America is spewing out these days. :)

Helicopters totally don't get their due credit in civ4. They apparently changed the way America fought in Vietnam, and have had a fair deal of global domestic use as well. They're only becoming more popular.

Apaches are better than Comanches any way.
