stDarNES1: Stars!

Should I take an existing Empire or make up a new one?

@KrimzonStryker: I never received orders from you, and you did not even write a minimal story. Hence, your Faction has been penalized. Your Scoutship was destroyed by the Jaenar Empire, as specified in your portion of the update.

@ErikMesoy: I fixed your stats. Sorry about that.

@andis-1: Sorry to hear you leave.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Zentraedi are a totally militarised society somewhat resembling the ancient Spartans on Earth. Every aspect of life is treated as duty towards the entire Empire: producing, fighting, training. Zentraedi spend their entire life either fulfilling their duty or preparing for it. The society had undergone such changes to survive to Scourge and after the threat was seemilngly gone very few felt it was necessary to change such an efficient system. After the period iof effective isolation the Empire seeks to expand in any way possible.

Preferred Color: Dark Green

Zentraedi.... Zentraedi.... the Chief Librarian was typing on the bioPC looking for some data for a young student of history who happened to be his second-wife nephew.
"Nice topic for a coursework boy, some forgotten human Empire 3 Galactic Eras ago!"
"Double-Uncle I am a student of history on my Homeplanet University.... you know how they pick titles for courseworks. Besides I think Humans are an important species in that Era. Haven't you studied ancient history?
"Yeah I have a bit. But you know that information from that Era is not easily accessable.... after all 3 times has the Galactic Civilization been wiped out and all data destroyed before our Age. The data is difficult at best mostly modeled rather than researched. Anyways I found what you got. This report seems to be originating from the beginning of our Age. Shall I upload it to your head?"
"Please Double-Uncle....I shall review it on the way back from the Library"

.... 2 standart planetary rotation time units later....

The young researcher has begun studying the history of this long forgotten Human Empire... the results would be quite interesting.

"Zentraedi. A particular branch (nation) of the HU-MAN race that existed in the 2nd Galactic Era (3 Eras Ago) [move to info on humans] (HUMANS catalogue NUmber JRS-2-233-234343B3) The Zentraedi Empire [Empire was one of the human civilizations that has broken apart after the "Scourge" hit their sector. A lot of the information in that Era is difficult to veryfy at best so all the information in this article is rather probable than certain. The Scourge nearly destroyed the previously centralized human civilization. Humans relied on many technological advances of quite primitive level that were also sabotaged by the Scourge. Eventual renaissance by the Humans happened some time after their near destruction and thus various emergnig factions had little information about each other, which created inter-species wars for dominance among them.
The Zentraedi Faction adopted a very centralized and hierarchical, militarised form of society that allowed for greater survival rate in many difficult circumstances. Zentraedi had a very distinct architecture and space-building (ship-building) style and were tough miliary opponenents. Despite.....

...and the your researcher fell asleep.

"....Interesting. If there are other intelligent beings out there...maybe not now, but later.....how will they view our civilization when we are gone?... I can picture their ships arriving on our dead planet, landing with searchlights going back and forth trying to find anything alive down here.... but lets get back to work."
Young sergeant of Zentraedi Special Corps 11-B forced himself to stop dreaming and concentrate on the book in front of him. The book was very old and printed in those times when Zentraedi fearing the Scourge ordered to print all the information still remaning to be backed up in hard copy in case the Scrouge destroys the computer network. The Law was abolished only a few years ago and thus the homeplanet and the surrounding planets always had a great number of printed books. Holden could have been much like the Mother Planet with all the old paper books..... However the Mother Planet is now only a legend shared by few.
The book was called "Origins of the Zenraedi Society by Exedore the Old"
According to the book.... Sergeant tried to reconstruct what he has read already.....
"Zentraedi were the only remainder of the Human Race that, not so long ago, was dominating the entire sector. Since the Scourge (everyone remembers the stories of the Scourge, since High School) a lot ofthe technical knowledge has been lost and no evidence of any other human survivors were found at least in the inhabited system.
Zentraedi initially began as a collection of frightened refugees, remaining military and ship crewmen that packed the system escaping the Scourge. 2 generations after a few revolutions, civil wars and general instability a man appeared from the croud who were to lead the nation (at that time only on one planet) into great change. His name was Zor, Zor Prime and his deeds are remembered by all Zentraedi young and old alike. He practically created the Zentraedi.
At that time a war ravaged the planet of survovors showing no mercy. Zor grew up from a local popular young adult to a leader of one of the factions. He managed to convince and force other warlords to stop the war and unite under his banner. He first thought of a name - the Zentraedi for a whole planet of survivors. The author also mentioned that it is funny and sad that now noone rememebrs the original meaning of the name.
Zor started with the reforms and rebuilding of a nation. He said that what he is doing had been done before, but he also wishes that after his work no-one woule ever have to do this again. He said he creates the best possible society for his people that would help us reclaim the stars.
Exedor says in his book that a lot of his standarts come from the chaotic and disorderly society of pre-Zor. He said that the people of Zor had become very disciplined and militaristic. Zor organised the society that its different parts can be expanded to even greater parts if the society expands, much like the army where batallions grow into corps adn corps into armies.
Zentraedi accept only one loyalty - loyalty to the nation to the unit and family. Family has remained a part of society, but only as a means to produce the next generation and keep the ancient fabric of society. At age 7 a kid is taken away into a school unit that becomes his home until age 16. From age 16 to 18 children undergo basic military or peace-time training a profession is chosen and a young adult becomes a part of either working-unit or military-unit as his family. Total equality of sexes exists while both sexes realize that men are stronger and shold take care of the family and women take care of child raising. Of course both are entitled to any sort of work they wish to go, no discrimination. A child keeps ties with his family while in school, but lives largely not at home.
Disipline, obedience are encouraged, but mostly honesty and bravery. School units also take care of the weak not letting them become pray of the strong and stupid. Instead unit-leaders help those who lag behind as they understand that those who are last can be traitors or not help the entire unit by theirweakness. "those who are weak and left alone can be worst enemies, dont make them where they can be avoided" say the elders and the yougn obey. Of course competition between squads (units) exists and generally many go close to rule limits to win. Zor predicted that other human factions might be out there so Zentraedi need to be strong, cunning and united to meet them when the time comes.
Zor also helped rebuild the space fleet in his last years. He managed to design a table in shipbuilding. If used appropriatelly it allows creation of new types of ships and battle mecha on the basis of old when the technology comes. He created a special architecture style for the Zentraedi both for planetary buildings and ships. Dark Green, Dark Blue and Deep Yellow ships of the Zentraedi were yet to show themselves in space......
Soceity remained militaristic in every respect of life. Some privacy is allowed and of course culture is not underdeveloped. Zentraedi have libraries, theatres, operas, book writers, but all these activities are limited and are not part of organised society. They are more like hobbies done by those who think they can do what they do well. Merchants, bankers and politicians are nearly extinct. Zentraedi are a society driven by sence of duty that has no need for such professions. Of course the knowledge of them exists, but most fund them dirty and unnesesasry. Technology still develops due to many dedicated men (and women) who think about how to improve life and efficiency for all Zentraedi, not "how to make most money from my ideas."
Zor has lived for 150 years remaning a very active man until the last years of his life. As a man with extremely long age he was able to witness the first fruits of his work and was very satisfied by them. He said "if you follow my steps you can come to perfection that would allow you to rule the galaxy if you wished for it. I am proud of my people and when I die I will die in peace knowing that you my nation will live on". He died soon after and no body was ever found. After his death 3 top Zneraedi went into an underground palace that he constructed in the deep caves. All came out alive, but only one claimed to be the sucessor. Each time after a Zentraedi ruler dies 3 worth candidates go down to the Palace seeking a new leader. They come through great sufferings and the Last Machine left by Zor chooses the new Supreme Commander of the Zentraedi. That is the last legacy left by Zor. Thus it has been and thus it will always be as long as Zentraedi remain on Holden.

Wow, looks like two Factions have memories of the same things... perhaps the Zentraedi were part of the Old Dominion... and now they have a legacy in TWO Star Systems...

Just my 2 cents worth. :D

Well I can bet I had the idea even for the last Galactic NES. Well I should have read your posts more carefully. Maybe two human factions can create the same society? More my faction is semi-prophecy like Zentraedi not real Zentraedi.

So Darwin the stories work? ;)

how about this?

it was a dark luna for the Galactic Zentradi fleet. The Scourge, may it never defile the holy emptiness ever again, has torn asunder the realms of man.
some colonies are rumoured to have survived, but none retain any military might.
except, that is, to the twins - ROMULUS and REMOS.
the TWINS were a pair of old BATTLE cruisers.
in their hayday, they had served under the imortal captain YAMAMOTO, and had secured a place in history by stopping the scourge at the SKYRUS SYSTEM, allowing countless millions to flee.
regrettably, Yamamoto and his dauntless crew suffered heavy damage, and only managed to crawl off into a remote asteroid belt, where they managed to avoid the worst of the scourge.
as the years passed by and supplies dwindled, they 2 captains of the last 2 battleships decided that they cannot remain in hiding any longer.
ACTION MUST be TAKEN!!!

and so, they can upon a plan.

they shall split into 2 groups, heading in search of more humans, so the race and the survivors shall have a chance of revenge.

many years have passed since, and those legendary ships are long gone into the galactic dust.
but thier heritage lives on.

both battle groups have found hospitable planets to colonize and have worked hard to regain their foothold in space.

they were not in contact during that period, which they call "the great seperation" but they still rever Yamamoto, and bear a nostalgic, even romantic longing for the day they shall reunite, and under them, all of humanity shall exact vengence upon the Scourge!!!

OOC: bah I still like my story.... + I was the only one to name Zentraedi as Zentraedi so there :p I will continue with this line if Darwin allows me to.

Seems okay with me, Gelion.

RULES CHANGE (because I f@#$%d up)

A ship can colonize a Star System the same turn it arrives, if you make the 1 EP Colonization Cost available (and specified) in your orders.

This change is due to my screw up - plus it will speed up the pace of the game a little bit.

ALSO: when writing your orders, please include the number of ships/troops you are purchasing. It will save me time.

Gelion - your Faction will be added on this update.

Kam - are you still interested in joining this time 'round?

nah.. It's okay. I was just being dramatic. any ways, I have based my race roughly on the Robotech Masters. I'll just rename my Giant Bio-troops (which are still many many turns off) The Invid. ^_^

any ways, on with the show..

Brought to you by: Qultilim Solar Power. bring you power since the dominions fall!

"Tonight, We get to witness a rare. After a longstanding decline, Lord Chariles Has Finally Decided to Step down and Relinquish the third Trinity Throne."
the Reporter, the Same one who covered the Launch of the Obilisk, Says to the Audience, motions to the three thrones behind him. In two of them Sit emperor Michial and emperor Shinji. Of to one side of the stage, Lord Chariles, the fomer Emperor can be seen being escorted off the stage.
"We all pray he will be restored by his retirement to Centerpoint Retierment Center, where your elderly can enjoy their last days in the peace and relaxation of Zero-G! ah, here she comes, Lady Misato, the next Successor of the thrones. Formally, she was the second in line, but after Lord Gendo, the bloody Ba@#$@d of the Koring Massacre, was regulated to governorship of Hari System, she became first Heir. ah, it seems they are ready to begin."

The camera zomes to encompass the Stage, where Lady Misato is standing infrount of the two emperor's.

"Halt, who Aproaches the thrones." the emperor Shinji Asked.

"My Name is Lady Misato Thranton, Retired-Captain of the Royal Marine Forces, bearer of the Star of Calin, holder of the three Stars of Trinity, Heir Prime to the Throne." Lady Misato declared.

"I recognize you." Emperor Shinji stated.

"What is your Reason to approach the thrones?" Emperor Michial Asks.

"I seek to Claim my place and Heir Prime, to Sit on the Empty Third throne. I seek to rule alongside you, to voice to you that of my resoning, my experience, my Wisdom. "I Accept." Lady Misato took a few steps and quickly sat on the empty throne. "I Bloody hate that Speech. anyway we can get rid of it?"

Emperor Shinji Sighed "unfortunate, no. we can't get rid of it without desolving the entire construction, and the construction expressively prohibits that."

Vayin System, Scout ship Obilisk

"This place is Utterly Barren. No Planet, just a few belts of Rocks."

Pilot Hari Smiled, looking back over her shoulder at the captain. "True Sir, but there are the ships."

"Ah yes. still it's not a pleasant place to look at." the captain replied.

"Can't argue.. hmm Captain, I'm detecting a jump signature at one of the other jump points. An Uknown ship is arriving."

the Captain immediately perked up. "Dispatch the Standard Greeting pakage, and discontinue the Short Jump Drive until we can determine if they have short jump capacity. Prepare a dispatch to Hari System. I think the Trinity will want to here this."

---

Quostellis System, Scout ship Sypher

"How is the piliminary Report coming along?"

"The Few planets might have held Life once.. but any Trace that might have existed is.. well, the defense system seems to be active."

the Captain raised an eyebrow. "it's still active?!?"

"Yes Sir. parts of it have been destroyed by other parts of the systems, and it seems to be at war with it's self. but It is mostly intact, and the programing is only at the level of the Old Dominion. if we can get access to an active terminal, we can easily shut the whole system down."

"Excellent. the Trinity must be informed. a Research force should be dispached to see if we redeem any of this old dominion Technology.

---

Nolat System, Scoutship Ra

"the Readings are comfermed. two of the 7 planets are habitable sir."

"hmm Excellent. relay the information back to Trinity. Let's continue the servey.

Hari System, Hari Station (under construction)

"Welcome, Lord Gendo. Your Quarters have been prepared, near the center of the Station. Please be careful."

"Humph.." Lord Genod Glared at Assistant, then marched down the courdor, ignoring her."

To the Unkonw Ship (Skyjack Conclave)
Welcome back, unto the Glory of Galactic Civilization!
We hope you will see reson, and join the glory of Trinity, or at least maintain peace and establish trade between us.

Trinity! Now I get it :). Well coincidences might happen. Hey we might even find common ground ;) *works on a story*

Darwin I would not mind if you add me before the update. I'd like to know stats of my home system.

going to send Obilisk in your direction next turn, to Pr'ator. perhaps we can trade Technolagy? ^_^

hmm actually, I was wondering about that earlyer. are there any rules about tradeing technolagy?
and also, do we need a space station to construct fighters? hmm I think we do, but I want to be sure.

Back to Galatic civilization you say? (raises eyebrow) We are quite happy in our own glory thank you very much, but your offer of trade is of course interesting.

And now; a story in which Dis describes alot of ships. (With minimal technobabble :) )

Fade to black...
____________________

The hull armour of the Cruiser was dark and dull, mottled with grey and purple, abraded and cold. The derelict fleet had been found nestled in the trailing Lagrange point of the outermost planet of the system like fossilised flies in amber. Despite the distance of over 5*10^3 light-seconds from the primary (11 of the old Dominion’s SAU1) the harsh radiation of the sun had ravaged the outer layers over the centauries. Hence the scabrous purple where once all had been a bright black surface; glistening with sentience.

Pilot Harpence knew this from the diagrams and renderings Academician Neins had been giving out at the crew briefings; the Old Dominion armour, in addition to the as yet unlocated shield generators, were layer after layer of hard carbon and metals, interspaced with resilient soft layers and reservoirs of nanotech repair materials. Fully three metres thick in places, it was a heck of a lot of mass to pull around, but the protection offered could probably stand up to the entirety of the home defence fleet. As his broomstick smoothly jetted over to the aft rent where most of the science team were buzzing away, he mused over the differences between the Cruiser and the much smaller vessel holding station a good distance off.

The Cruiser was a rough cone, bulky and massive to his skyjack eyes, measuring half a kilometre along the axis and about half that across the base. The thick armour was smooth despite its degraded state and cut into hundreds of facets instead of a clean circle, giving the whole ship something of the look of a flint arrowhead – same purpose but with fifty centuries of technological development behind it. Hundreds of low domes blistered the surface when you got in closer, ranging from one to six metres in diameter, the armour covering these was much thinner according to the sensors, but no attempt had been made to breach them. If the tales of the Old Dominion were to be believed, nearly all of them would reveal some sort of weapon system, possibly unstable weapons systems. The few that were open, all 1.3 metres in diameter, revealed empty launching racks, highly radioactive empty racks; obviously some weapon deemed too valuable or dangerous to leave behind when the ships were abandoned. At the rim of the cone more blisters perched, plus a hugely thick band of gleaming exotic metals, undimmed by time but peppered my micrometeorite impact. The scientists thought this was the ships FTL drive, but puzzled over its configuration since the Gideon equations forced a baroque hexagonal array on the Tumbleweed and her sister ships for interacting with the starlanes. The flat base of the behemoth was very unlike the smooth slopes; more weapons blisters, huge docking ports and access bays, the blunt spikes of the fabled reactionless drive, the huge nozzles of backup reaction drives, and trailing comm arrays, all combined into a dense forest of equipment. All this tied together into a cohesive whole, a bold trumpet call wrought in metal and carbon; this ship class would be the first wave of a system assault as it transited down from the starlane, a sharp sacrificial thrust into the enemies defences with its massively armoured front while it dumps fighters and spy satellites from its rear to support the heavier warships and carriers that would follow. Its glorious death would buy them time to set up undisturbed. They did not yet know its name, which troubled Harpence on some spiritual level, for the name plate had been degraded general ablation of the hull and they had not been able to connect with its command core or net. That was another unsettling thing; the processing devices in the ship, while of an advanced nature, were few and far between to the sensibilities of a people who threaded everything with sentience.

Looking back at the Tumbleweed with his magnification on full, the Skyjack ship resembled a filigreed ornament in comparison to the broad warrior. With the morphable tendrils set to maximum extension she could reach the volume encompassed by the Cruiser, but with only one thirtieth of the mass; a spider web next to a flint. Right now the extensions were set to only half the maximum reach, and the ship had a roughly spherical shape whilst at rest. Not only did she not have metres of armour, she currently lacked even a solid outer hull; the metallic beams of the structural skeleton opening to hard vacuum! At times a mobile layer of memory plastic and energy can be extended between the ship and the universe, but that just go in the way of access, and even when it was deployed the crew preferred to keep it translucent. Within the clutch of the structural skeleton were held dozens of baubles illuminated in many colours; the various modules for living quarters, labs, machine shops and stores, in addition to hundreds to smaller machines wrapped into the skeletons fabric. Towards the rear were the eight dark cylinders of the reaction drives, quiescent for now as station keeping was performed by thousands of tiny ion squirt thrusters on the outer spars. The Gideon drive array, normally held in a protective embrace amidships, was currently extended on a scaffold a hundred metres out from the ships main concentrations of components like a multicoloured snowflake forty metres in diameter. The twisted hexagonal struts of the array hurt the eyes somehow, like an optical illusion, flicking between states. Right now the bustling activity of the ship would interfere with the delicate fields as they performed their task – without the somehow different space of the starlane they could not translate mass to FTL, but small packets of information were being exchanged with the Conclave as the newest data on the Cruisers rolled in. Tumbleweed represented a completely different philosophy to the Cruiser, that was a machine, a weapon where the crew were just more components, abet ones of flesh, this was a explorer, a workshop, a home as flexible as her crews imagination.

“Maybe the Cruiser doesn’t have a name” Harpence thought to himself and his exoself, “Names imply a hope for the future”
[Names also help distinguish units from other units] his exoself butted in [it is most probable that the Cruiser had some sort of name/designation/call sign]
“Shut up and let me philosophise damn it!”
[:Rolls eyes:]

As he curled around the lip of the Cruiser and headed for the rent in the base where the science time were try to access the ships systems, the wound being what had seemingly crippled the ships FTL array – cutting the exotic components in half, he thought about what the science team had discovered about the wound. It was radioactive, with a signature identical to that found in the empty weapons blisters – the ship had been crippled by another Dominion ship, maybe even of the same class. A troubling omen indeed he decided.

With that thought he aligned his sensors on the area of space that held the other ship, the one that had emerged into the system nigh simultaneously with theirs, the Skyjacks had picked up the scrambled and untranslatable lightspeed signals of other human civilizations on their own climb back into space, but to be confronted with the reality of it was certainly a shock. Whilst waiting on a response from the System Conclave the Captain had merely exchanged greeting protocols with the alien humans. His suit and broomstick sensors couldn’t pick up the distant ship of course but he called up the image the ships long range sensors had shown. Whilst we are musing on design philosophies he thought – lets take a look at this.

The ‘Trinity’ ship was certainly brightly coloured, though not exactly beautiful. Its complexity fell somewhere between the highly fractal ethereal struts of the Tumbleweed and the blunt cone of the Cruiser. The hull was short relative to its width, and two large main engines pointed to the rear, it was composed of large closely fitted armour plates that curved round the ships bulges. Two blisters flared out to the sides, containing what was speculated to be reaction mass tanks, attitude thrusters, and two large objects, possibly telescoping legs or grapplers mounted on one large 'V' housing. The belly of the craft bulged down around the cargo bay. A large antenna sat on top of the craft scanning Tumbleweed as she scanned it, and projections peeked out between the armour plates – more sensors or possibly weapons? A final blister at the front of the craft gave it a distinctly and slightly ominous cyclopean look. It was a tricky thing to read – workman like and solid at slightly more than Tumbleweeds mass but several times smaller, its builders seemed pragmatic and cautious, belayed by the exuberance of colour.2

Of course it was a silly thing to try and guess psychology from a ship; you never know what butterflies might have teeth as his mother used to say3, but still he wondered, and worried.

Notes
1)Standard Astronomical Unit (based on Old Earths distance from sol)
2)Can TerrisH or Gelion say what ship class I’m describing here? sans TerrisH bright colours of course ;)
3) Knowledge of Old Earth animals has been muddled by time :D

sounds like a Thuverl Salan Heavy Curiser, Primary Zentraedi Battle Vessel. or a Zentradi Scoutship. the discretion and the hint match, but aThuverl Salan is about two klicks long. of course, the hint supports the first one. hmm perhaps a Ikazuchi-class Cruiser? that actually fits the discription a bit better

With a slight shudder, the Obilisk's parasites Separated, detaching themselves from Obilisk, and reviling themselves to be those said Blisters. Composing of over 1/6th of the Oblisk's mass and size a piece, they were fully functional craft. where the bottom of the craft rested against the skin of the of the Obilisk, was completely flat. it's nose tapered to a point, and after half it's length, the hull started to curve around, until abruptly hits a flat place where three cones of a reactionless drive sat. they we squat, light blue, and utterly functional, their entier surface, except for where two ships hulls rested together, were covered with sensors and grappler (robotic manipulators). One Slipped away from the ship, Turing to head back to the jump point, to assist the first parasite with the repairs tot he jump point sensor system. the other turned toward the inner system, to check out the belts and see if there might be some mining possibilities.. a few seconds later, it shimmered and short jumped, seeming to streachout into a thin line extending in-system vanishing beifly from realspace

The obilisk it's self turned slowly to face the delricts, then shimmered its' self, short jumping across the Light hour gap between it and the tumbleweed, reappearing a mere kilometer away from it in a streak and a slight shimmer of space-time. Total transit time: one minute, 47 seconds. while it was obvious what it did, it would be over an hour before the image of it's original position would fade. *sigh* such if the fact of light-speed lag.

Sorry about that.. hmm Just got cleared to demonstrate this little trick. neat, huh? anyway, we are willing to open up trade relation, though we will not be able to formally set up a trade-route for aproximantly three Old Dominion years. still, shall we trade basic information on the systems our two nations have explored? as a measure of good will?

Sounds like this ship:
zen_destroyer.gif

However the description is too long to keep in my head.

zentraedi_0_small.jpg

- Kreb calls Greil, Kreb calls Greil, come in Greil
- This is Greil I read you loud and clear.
- Whats your position Greil.
- Our cruiser group has taken position in the shadow of second planetary satellite. tramsnitting the coordinates now.
Greil made a sign with his hand "to go ahread".
- Understood Greil. Your orders are to launch fighters according to the pre-designated plan and advance with the cruiser group engaging the main fleet of the enemy. The fighter group will procede accoring to plan. Flight formulas are being uploaded while we speak.
- Got it Commander. Hail Zor!
- Hail Zor!
Kreb disconnected. He had now updated all attack groups and could rest for a minute or two. It was pleasing to command this many ships at once, but he already had head ache. He needs to have a rebuilding session after this capmaign is over. If only....
Blast!!!! "this is serious!" Bombardment alert sounded along with sounds of exploading missiles. So far on the core, but closer and closer to the comand unit.
"Get us out of here! Re-enforce the screens!!! Hurry" shouted the commander.
destroyed_zen_ship.gif

Suddenly an explosion shook the control room. "the reactior is blowing..... a few seconds left" and the screens went blank.

rt4224.jpg

Millions of standart units away Greil was waiting for orders to attack. Fighters have been launched, but no order followed. "Base One" was not answering.
"We cant sit here longer, we'll be sitting ducks without the fighter cover. I must call them back".
- Greil calling the fighter group, Greil calling the fighter group, come in
- There seems to be no information coming from them captain - said of the the Messengers in the Command Room.
- Blast! It has begun..... move the fleet out and proceed to the last location of the Base One. Scramble remaining fighters. Send crout team to investigate those gone"
Fleet C was returning to position 0,0,0,0 where the Base was supposed to be located. No enemy jammer could blank it, the base could've only been destroyed or gone. Greil was going to find out what it was and die fighting if so was his faith. Secrets of the Base must be protected and he was to make sure they were.
Fleet C approached the squadrant. First reports of destroyed ships began coming in. All fleet was destroyed, however some enemy ships were also burned and rotated in space showing their emptied hulls.
"Enemy missiles approching! Enemy fleet detected!" sounded the scanner.
zentraedi_5_small.jpg

"Blast the missiles, re-enforce shields!" shouted Greil. The battle over the destroyed Base One has begun....
rt4220-tn.jpg

... 2 hours later it was over. Fleet C has sustained heavy losses of 50% of ships destroyed, 35% heavily damaged. However the enemy with shadow technology has been destroyed.
Greil was giving last orders to stabilize the fleet when his screen went blank.
"What in the name of Zor?!!"
- Good commanding Greil! said Kreb coming trough the vacuum doors of the Control Room.
- Kreb?! Is it over then?
- Yes you can enjoy a glass or two. They think you did a good job. At ease everyone! Dismissed - said he to the Control Room staff - lets go Greil the Chief wants to see you....
...the two men went trough the doors and dissapeared in the long tunnels of Space Academy. Simulation "Shadow Enemy" was over. Both commanders scored marks, but only one of them will be sent to the actual fleet being built. But that is another story.

OOC: Don't know what got into me, but here this thing is, ok?

and also, do we need a space station to construct fighters? hmm I think we do, but I want to be sure.

A) No specific rules regarding tech trading. Let me ruminate on this and I'll get back to you.

B) Space Stations are absolutely required to construct ANY ship.
