ok, work is done...

@Kulade...what did we decide about wonders?...I made mine(golden apple of Greek Mythos) its a Great Library(not replacement) you get with philosophy(change to Polytheism)...here is a splash preview...
alternatly, I would like it to spawn a "instigator" unit...hidden nationality...who just "picks fights"
[edit] what about the Golden Apple spawning the Trojan Horse?...it could be a "Hidden Nationality" transport

I think that 2 UUs (as per the original version of the mod) would be sufficient. Of course, you'd have to make them balanced so that if they replace a standard unit, it should not have more than +2 of a single stat without either (a) lowering one of the others, or (b) increasing cost proportionally. Ditto goes with special abilities. That's why my Wutai Ninja, which has the "freebie" +2 on the attack (so that the attack and def are even), but with the stealth attack and treats all terrain as roads caused me to boost cost by 50% over the standard TOW infantry.

In cases where a unit is TRULY unique (i.e. it isn't in the standard game), then a "Standard" version of said unit should be listed, i.e. when I suggested the Highwind (heavy military airship), I also listed a non-unique variant (namely my generic Advanced Airship) that all of the other civs could build.

I think that we could all live with these guildlines.... If not, feel free to suggest changes/alterations.

I have the same question...I want to add def bombard to archers

{edit} Ive decided that my "flavor" units will be Greek Mythology based...until Industrial at which point I will resumre the pop-culture theme(ie.yellow Submarine is my Sub)

I'd say that up to 8 without changing any other stat would be reasonable (depending on which age your in), after that, consider that 4 bombard = 1 point of regular off/def, and again, cost should be adjusted accordingly, if excessive bombardment is enabled without changing stats... At least that's how I did things in the FF mod (i.e. The Mytril Musketeers replace the Samurai which has 20,10,2, but no bombard. The musketeers have 10 bombard but the rest of the stats, including cost are the same).
 
Actually, as I said before, with UUs, I think that 2 "Freebie" points could be added without breaking the game before you have to subtract points from other stats.. I.e. Your 8(0)/8/3 could become 8(8)/8/3 OR 9/9/3 OR 8/10/3 OR 9(4)/8/3 before you have to either (a) drop other stats or (b) increase cost.... At least from what I've seen from standard Civ III UUs.

BTW, in Conquests, at least, all Ranged infantry and defensive units (archers, longbowmen, musketmen, riflemen, Infantry, TOW infantry, Mech Inf, etc) have Def bombardments.....
 
Oh, what I wanted to do was combine the Artillery with the Tank for my 1st UU, and for the second, give it one extra movement point over the MA.
 
ok, Im gathering Units for my civ, and I found the Trojan Horse!...due to the theme of my civ, I would like the Golden Apple(if used) to spawn the Trojan Horse every 20-40 turns(until rendered obsolete)

I hope Im not jumping the gun on the wonder thing,,

@Kulade--Ok, Im editing this in to save space(No pun intended)...This is my (WiP) unit list(only Flavor so far) tell me if Im going overboard on this with flavor units(I would like to replace all my units)
Also if there is anyone willing to C-N-P this Giant into a Cyclopse, I would be eternally grateful
