hi i'm Ben, i just started playing CivIII. its my first computer game ever, I play alot of PS2 and Gamecube. I have been totally sucked into this game. I have only played a couple times on chieftan and I'm having trouble getting finances in order and tying to trade with other civs. if anyone has suggestions I would love to hear'em!!! thanks.

Purchased Civ 3 for 7.99 in the bin with pinball and old hoyle card games.Never heard of it, but it looked interesting.

Hi There, I found this forum when searching for strategy help with Civ4. It's been a great source of ideas so I thought I'd Join. I've been playing Civ4 since Christmas, but now starting to really get into it. (Just bought a laptop so I can take it on holiday with me!). My wife thinks I'm addicted and she's probably right! Anyway Hello everyone and thanks for all the great posts I've been reading. You all seem very expert, so I think it'll be a while before I have much to contribute that's useful! 
This forum is an absolutely awesome project. I vaguely remember the first time I was banging away at a game of Civ I on my old Mac IIci and noticed that the sky outside my window was getting brighter. That was the first all-nighter session of many w/ this game series. Since I don't get to play as much as I would like any more, I'm glad there are gurus out there who are willing to share their mastery of the system as well as their creativity. Thanks to all involved in this effort, I look forward to the ride. Ritter61

Hi everyone.
Hello, I doubt anyone will respond to this but heck, I just thought I would stop in anyway. I am playing Civ III. and am really a newbie, not very good at computer games in general but have been having fun with Civ III. I want to get Civ IV but it will be a while till I can afford it. I am still trying to figure out how to play Civ III. The best I can do is be a victorious at Chieftan and I got I think a cultural victory.

I discovered this forum a couple of days ago thanks to the link to bhiita's black knight skin in Civ IV official site. Since then I'm browsing through the forum, especially in the graphic customization and modding sections. And as a consequence I became a big fan of Rabbit, White
A few words about myself :
I'm a French Civ player. I started with Civ I ... that was (at least) ages ago. Then spent hours and hours with Civ II, but never really enjoyed Civ III (I was still playing with Civ II when third opus was released). And since end of last year I've been really enjoying Civ IV, especially because of multiplayer games.

Still some problems with the multiplayer. (A friend of mine has also the game and we want to play toghether) I've put a message asking for help, I hope someone is able to help me.
I'm enjoying the game very much and I will spend probebly a lot of hours with it.

Hello.... CivIV is great. I had to spend $250 on ram and video card so it could work, but I got there.
Graphics are fine, Religion is fine, i like the maintenance rather than corruption. Hmmm what else? I havent played Multi player on line yet. What is the more popular style of on-line gaming?

Howdy, just wanted to introduce myself.. Iron Jack Flint (officially, it's my Pirates! name). I'm new to the whole computer games department to begin with. My wife got Sid Meier's "Pirates!" for me on our anniversary and i enjoyed it so much, i wanted to check out other Sid Meier games.
Upon reviewing Civilization IV, I came across this site and loved the information and contents.... and so on March 1st I decided to buy Civilization IV.... and the rest is as they say history!
