I don't think it'll work, they, i.e. horses, wolves and other animals, have differently named bones (although panther and lion share the same ones).
 
This is what happened when I tried to give Cavalry Keshik animations. :D

Edit: could anyone please make a list what files exactly are to be renamed? I tried the female settler/jaguar combination and the female was only pink in nif viewer.

Copy and paste settler_female_128.dds, settler_female.nif, settler_female_fx.nif, settler_child_128.dds(if you need her staff).
rename settler_female.nif, settler_female_fx.nif to aztec_jaguar.nif, aztec_jaguar_fx.nif.
Don't rename settler_female_128.dds, settler_child_128.dds.
 
I love the christian missionary with warrior animations. Talk about the wrath of god, that crucifix looks might dangerous. :D

Just thought maybe a good idea to write a summary(what works and what not) in the third post? Could do that. Right now doesn't seem necessary but I got a feel this thread is going to get longer.

Immortal-Conquistador works but left arm points back, didn't change the weapon for the pic in this I'm hopeless.



The other way round twist the arms even more
 
Those modern merchant/scientist combos would look great for monster reskins, and you won't even have to animated the jerky unnatural movement :D

That isnt lazy!!!!
If we want an animation that doesnt exist, we will have to develop new ones, but why doing a new animation for an animation that exists ?!?!
That saves us time for other work!

I would hope that *all* the threads in Creation & Customization are helpful.

In an attempt to avoid "sticky clutter", and also to abide by the wishes of Thunderfall (the Site Adminnistrator), we sticky as few threads as we think feasible.

If you don't use the resources available to you you're not being very smart. If for every new unit we need we would build it and animate it from scratch, we'd still only have skins for new units (and maybe a trebuchet). :eek:
