If I take Pakistan I want East Pakistan, Kashmir, and Hydrabad. Give me Gujarat, Rajasthan, and the rest of Bengal while you're at it

Partition was a bloody affair on the whole as the Hindu minority fled Pakistan they were attacked by Muslims and the Muslim minority India vice versa. And the Sikhs killed and got attacked by everyone. It was really a massive exodus on a biblical scale.

At any rate if you don't give Pakistan indepdence I hope your'e ready for a large scale Muslim revolt. Besides at this point in 1946 it has already been decided by the British so if we stick to OTL you have little say in the matter.

I really want to keep it relativly simple, otherwise its hard to update quickly (I personaly hate waiting days because of the stats, instead of playing) but now I think about it a government stat is a good idea and Gelion I think its disorderly because there was no real preview thread... Anyways Ill get to writing update 0 so this can get going properly, and the problems can be ironed out as it goes.

Can't you just take the starting stats from Gelion/Capulet/Stormbringer's Cold War NES. It starts in 1949. 3 years isn't that much of a diffrence. You would justr have to make a few minor changes.

The ones in the thread are for after 1949 so have been affected by players actions. I wil see in time if i need to change stuff, but I really dont want to have to struggle with the stats when updatating, It give me more time to write stroies and stuff.

@das; I couldnt think of a better title for the age so i just put that. It just really repesents technoligies developed WWII and earlier (except nuclear weapons).

I hope the UK doesn't mind too much if I take King Farouk I of Egypt.

World Events

Civil War in China Resumes

The chinese civil war which was temporelaly halted after the Japanese invasion is expexted to resume later in the year as both sides are preparing for war. The sides appear to be evenly matched, with the nationalists controling the majority of the country and haveing superior weapons to the communist PLA, however corruption in Chiang Kai-Shek's government and poor moral amoung KMT soldiers may play in the communist's favour. The PLA currently hold Manchuria, which is seen by many as critical to success by all parties, no one can say who will win this coming war.

The end of Empire?

The great empires of the world may have seen their day, Mahatma Gandhi's Quit India Movement which has been campaigning for Indian independance for the UK since 1942 has been greatly influential as well as the more violent Indian National Army who fought against the British during World War II. The exact details of how the British may leave India are not know, but it is expected it will be divided on religious grounds between Hindus and Muslims. It is not only India that seeks independance, many middle eastern colonies seek it too, Syria and Iraq are the most notable. In Indonesia rebels have begun to attack the Dutch, some predict a long struggle for independance. What is clear is the world is changing.

Occupation of Europe

Allied forces have occupied central and eastern europe since the fall of the Third Reich, it is expeted that they will begin the reconstruction of these nations to return them to pre-war state, with the exception of Germany who may be demilitarised. However the greater question is on the fate of eastern Europe, occupied by the Red Army, many belive that the Stalin may attempt to set up puppet soviet states instead of reistating democracy to the region.

A Jewish State

Many Jews are demanding that they be given their own land inorder to avoid the horrors inflicted apon them by the Nazi party from ever happening again, the exact location of this state, or wether it will exist is yet to be decided. Many Zionist are demanding that ancient home land of the Jews, which is currently under British control.
