Update II: 13th year, Age of Yorn
A few unsettling occurences in the past three years has stirred things among the new religions. Indeed, some of these have been so devastating that they have rocked and shifted the very foundations of the religion itself. Observe:
Novarupta has made a significant advancement. After a long and futile search for viable metals in the nearby mountains, their Hero Vulkan called the molten earth below to rise up and crafted the new materials needed for arming his faithful. Thus, the glass was discovered and equipped by the Novaruptan army. Glass is sharp, but very brittle, and this has made its use in weaponry a flawed success. Still, the new blades are far better than the sticks and stones they have left behind... (+glass weapons)
Orogin on the other hand has found rich veins of silver ore. After consulting dead spirits, the Hero DunkelBehm Agri knew exactly where to look for it. The mining has now fueled the growth of Orogin economy, and a city has formed around the industry. (+1 eco center)
Pyrae and the Pyromancer Cinerus has claimed nearly all of the northeastern hills. The barbarians here were lass than a match for the imposing shows of magical prowess and the large army that came with it. A port city has also been founded for future naval endeavors.
Shato has also expanded and founded a city. Theirs is further downstream of the river that flows throughout the Lady Hitomi's realm. A search for lost artifacts has so far been in vain. A search for other religions, however, has provided rumors of one down to the south...
Travincal has alike with Origin found silver deposits. These have been mined and given the Church coffers a modest boost. The mountains here have been named the Silvertalon Mountains after this. (+1 eco center)
The Valendales have entered a stalemate with the northern barbarians. Neither seems keen on making a move, since both are afraid of the other. The barbarians have sheer numbers, but the Valendales have God on their side, albeit a human one. Expansion has therefore been aimed eastwards, which has shedded much light on the scene (pun, kinda)...
Awolvia has made an interesting expansion. After founding a pilgrimage point in the middle of the woods, aptly named Awolvia, a new port was founded on the southern coast. From there, ships were issued out at sea to spread the faith to new and distant lands. This led to the discovery of a group of islands to the south. The religion was welcomed by the island dwellers, and much exploration has been made on the seas between them and the mainland.
Ázen-Azá (I really hate your namings, Erik

) has made great gains. Their Hero, the Keeper of the Gate among too many titles to list, started by traveling down south to the Azurian hills, up the river Surnam. Here he issued an order to found a city. Thereafter, his army marched northwards up along the Great River, spreading the faith through extortion and hefty rewards. The Monument City has become the chief source of marble and construction stone, and the people has been able to move from rickety mud and straw huts to solid stone buildings. The only thing the Ázenes are lacking is metal...
Corona is prospering under the hand of Sethy. After an edict was issued that partying and binging should be left for the weekends only, thing went a bit better. Among the various progresses, new luxurious cities have been founded, complete with beer fountains and aqueducts in the dry areas. A number of Ships have also been made to allow fishing and piracy. Both have proved interestingly beneficial. The former because much of the grain is consumed by the breweries, the latter due to the unsuspecting seafaring barbarians who came to hear about this strange and happy religion with lots of alcohol. Sadly, they were met by drunk and fierce pirates who took their valuables, sank their boats, and keelhauled them all the way back to the port.
The Arbiter has expanded his domain westwards and eastwards. A new city has been built under the vast mountain ridge to the south, which indeed proved to be the dividing line between their lush and forested jungle lands and an arid vaste without end. What might be found beyond this land is unknown to them...
The Farseers have founded two new cities. One is on the western frontier, the other by the eastern hills. Initially intended to be a mining city, the Farseers were disappointed to find the rocks void of metals. Still, the river network has given them something to rejoice, as trade goods have started to flow from one end to the other of the domain. (+1 eco center)
Hu'vanna has forcibly converted many of their barbarian neighbors. A group of hills has been discovered to their south, as well as what appears to be a great mountain range to the northwest. Their ever-increasing army has yet to see any real action, since the locals have been subdued into submission by the mere prescence of the religion. However, rumors speak of a fearsome barbarian leader to the west, who is gathering an army to oppose them...
Karmellon with their benevolent Lady Ashamara is thriving. Quite interestingly, the Lady is not inclined towards military expansion, but rather peaceful conversion. Her domain has now reached a mountain ridge to the north, as well as hilly lands in the south. A road network has been initiated, but there are not many great cities to connect yet, leaving the road rather unused and uncherished. Still, this kind and caring deity is gathering faith quickly, proving that goodness might win the day after all.
The Duke of Kinesia has found the source of the disturbance in the north: Mithril. He is sure that a large deposit of it is somewhere in the north, but the location is still shrouded. The barbarians have been driven farther away after a set of Void Sparks killed their leaders. Now they have been pushed into a strategically vital region: that between Kinesia and Valendale. Yes, finally, two religions have met. Although contact is still indirect, the two are aware of eachother, which might lead to a number of things. Will a war break out? Which side will the barbarians be on? Will both work together against the barbarians sandwiched between them? Will none of them ally? Will they do anything at all? The only thing certain is that the situation calls for a solution...
Nehekharan has entered the stage that will mark their people for the entire struggle. Nagash has started converting his followers into braindead humans. These completely loyal beings are just like animals, feeding, breeding and perishing without a thought aside from worshipping their great god Nagash. This fearsome sight has spurred a great resistance, as well as many trembling converts. What madness like this can have of consequences will entertain Nagash in the future for sure...
I want city names from everyone. You don't need to be as detailed as Erik, but I'd really appreciate it if you did. I will keep all the maps you make so that I have a complete record of it. I might make an Atlas if I feel like it, and have the time.
