Great Modern Marine Troopers! I also really like the flight of the assualt marine. Once again excellent work!

Takes me back to my teenage years and a bedroom floor filled with 25mm models and improvised scenery (stacks of books and tapes!).
 
muffins, here are the modified sounds and Civ Specific units_32.pcx files for the Heavy Bolter Marine and Assault Marine. Note That I changed the .ini speed for the Assault Marine from 160 to 225 because it works better in game. The sounds are Not a big change but more of a "tweaking"...use them if you like them. Fun Units..Thanks.

hmmmmmm ... you don't like my sounds and units32?

I didn't see anything wrong with them. Plus the ini for the assault marine was tailored so that he would take-off and land in the run animation. With the speed set up to 225 you will only ever see half the animation.

With you 'correcting' aspects of my units that seem fine to me, it smells of "coat-tail sitting".

#1. IF you check Your units_32.pcx files you will see that they are NOT Civ Specific, use shades of magenta and are not clear.
#2. As for your sounds, I liked them but the sound level, especially the JumpPack sound was too loud and the timing was off for your sounds and animations. I did not Drastically change your sounds, unless you consider my adding the 5th shot to the Attack in order to match your animation Drastic. The .ini speed change does NOT alter or prevent your animation. It simply allows your units to have a better game speed. The Fact is, IF I did not like your units I would not have spent any time or effort with even these minor improvements. I hoped you would appreciate it rather than become offended and your implication of "coat-tail sitting", if I understand you correctly, is Absurd :lol: Rest assured, I will not "bother you" again.

Bump, but for good reason :)

This is muffin's heavy bolter ultramarine, except it is completely civ coloured and the omega symbol has been removed from his right shoulder. once again requested by Stormy for the WH40K Mod.

the download includes original civilopedia pics by muffins, and sounds and unit_32.pcx by vuldacon.

Preview: Run > Default > Fortify > Attack > Death
