The Vanguard

Great update!

We need Vangard: the scenario! :p

That's available on page 6, post 113 of this thread. ;)

Okay everyone, stop the spam, BasketCase is trying. He just sent me a PM saying he'd run into technical difficulties (he wouldn't tell me what they were, though, because that would spoil the surprise! ;)) that were stopping the story from being written, and we'd have to wait until the difficulties end. As BasketCase would say, Sorry for the inconvienence, and after you post your posts of despair, no more posts until the next update, okay? ;)

YAY! Finally. Next episode is done. I apologize for the delay, but I ran into two SERIOUS problems in the last few weeks. Here's what happened:

All the files I'm using for this project fit nicely on a one-gigabyte flash drive. I mention this because the first problem is that I accidentally ran that flash drive through the washer three weeks ago.

There was no actual damage to the drive (or to the data on it), and I make regular backups in any case. And, my data is now clean and shiny, with a fresh pine scent and no static cling. However, there's some new stuff on the drive that hadn't been backed up yet, and losing that would have delayed me a little.

That was actually the smaller problem.

The bigger problem is that I've lost my lead actress.

I still have all the pics of Drasha that I've been using in the series so far. The series won't be stopped. It's just that I can no longer make any new images of her. When I realized I was going to lose the ability to create new Drasha poses, I was forced to go to the drawing board and plan out the storyline for the ENTIRE series, all the way to the very end. Then I had to think up everything that I might ever want want to do with Commander Drasha, and then get all the poses and other Drasha shots I would need beforehand. That last step alone took days, and ate up nearly a gigabyte of hard drive space.

After I finish the series, I'm thinking of doing a "behind the scenes" episode to give you a peek at how all this was done, but right now I can't say any more without revealing where I got Commander Drasha. That's staying secret till the end. :)

The good news? Time for more fun with bunnies! :D

Something I forgot to mention- some questions. What will you do about the Celts? Are you prepared for anything? Will we see more fluffy cute stuff? And most improtantly, can you please start updating more frequently?

Ok, I started reading this thread and stopped when I realized I had forgotten to eat dinner! I was starving!

I grabbed an apple, came back and finished reading.

*Looks at Queen's post*
..... That would make a nice clue for the even more clues you play civ3 too much thread!

Just wondering...

I know the reason there are no other Gen'Shar cities is because this is an OCC. But is there anything within the Gen'Shar philosophy that prevents them from founding other cities? It just seems like something a foreign warrior race might do to eventually spread over the planet - start more of their own cities.

Well- Maybe- but the scenario prevents building settlers. Maybe they don't have enough citizens willing to go out into the world, or the want for foreign cities...

Gen'Shar are dangerous as hell, if I was emperor I wouldn't let any of them out of my sight either.
