Update 1
(note, the "+ Blank" are bonuses for good plans)
Malta
Malta tried a very aggressive approach on the economy. They immediately cornered the transportation market, creating basically the predecessor to costumer service. Large increases in merchant fleet meant they could quickly move goods from one land to the other. This means they could quickly and easily talk to their customers and suit there needs. However they also started to corner the trade market in the Western side of the Mediterranean by building the city of Syracuse on Sicily, giving them easy access to Rome and Iberia.
+1 Trade Economy
Rome
Rome sort of was mellow. They generally expanded, but they quickly found out that the troops they allocated towards the expansion were far to few to accomplish the requested task. Generals asked for more, but Rome was timorous about sending any more out, as they would not be able to finish a number of construction projects as well as general city defense.
Carthage
Carthage quickly found out that its small merchant fleet was insufficient in maintaining its small economy it built up in the last 20 or so years. As such it was heavily devoted towards naval expansion, quickly building a new city, Zama, on the coast to quickly start build Galleys, and has started a new the new class of ships, Triremes. (note, cause we are playing on Chieftain Civ 2, NPCs have manufacturing drawbacks, but can cheat (you cannot normally build triremes the same turn you build your first coastal city)). They also decided to start to try and colonize Sardinia, however they were slightly too over-extended and only took part of the cost line.
Iberia
Iberia was not at all concerned with these recent naval merchant “battles”. It was far more concerned with keeping its “confederation” of sorts together. It did, in fact, only collect 1 eco, as most of the money was lost through corruption of local warlords. This they spent on Spearmen, to help recapture a rebelious tribe. In one of the first battles, 60 loyalist spearmen went up against 100 peasants. It was a massive victory for the loyalists, showing the great superiority of armored trained troops. Only 20 spearmen died, while all 100 peasants killed him.
-150 peasants –1 confidence
Egypt
The Pharaoh started one of the first great works of all of the world. It will be a massive granary, which will house a great deal of the food for Ineb Hedj. They also expanded southward expecting resistance. However most natives fled and the remaining did not resist. As such no actual combat occurred.
Miletus
Miletus is becoming a Malta of the Eastern Med. It quickly dominated trade with Greece, Macedonia, and, to a lesser extent, Egypt (high competition with Malta here). It also founded Troy, quickly getting new trade routes with Sovie-Carthen Empire.
+1 Trade economy
Sovie-Carthen Empire
Due to lacking of orders, these people chilled.
Zemeckis
Zemeckis completely dominated it's surroundings. Investing completely in military, they made massive expansions. Although they tried to establish a Unique Unit, they did not read the rules regarding U.U.s.
Huronic Empire
Huronic Empire tried a very balanced approach to expansion. They both increased military, and confidence by creating a strong government based around a “constitution”.
+ Confidence
Singoda
These people were comitted to increase trade, but never said exactly how, so little was done. However it did expand quite a lot using the Amazon River
Nova Scotia
These people had solid plans for economic growth, and they succeeded. These rural improvements helped spur on infrastructure, so, including government invested money, private people donated there efforts. As such, they also increased by one infrastructure
