NUKE-NES One Last Try
Update 3, 499 B.C. - 300 B.C.

Asia Minor

Hatti continues to dominate the region, however, a Mad king, King Mutwallis, has stopped the spread of Padic beliefs. They haven’t been forced to convert, but this has made the Padic Population flee Hatti and go to the Holy Padic Empire, The Byzantine Empire and Egypt for havens. After apologizing to Byzantium, King Mutwallis led a series of campaigns into Eastern Anatolia and the Levant. Most were successful, but the down side is that they are surrounded by three incredibly powerful neighbors. In domestic news though, Abaita has regained her former glory, and the Hitties have developed new Irrigation techniques that are years ahead if their time. For now, Hatti is, at peace.

(+ 1 Agriculture Economy/ - 200 Horsemen/ - 50 Chariots/ - 100 Spearmen/ + 1 Confidence/ - Most Padics in Hatti)

The Byzantines are flooded with a wave of immigrants from Hatti, and they are set to work in Nicrosia, the newly built city on Cyprus. Also, new trade with Macedonia has increased Byzantium’s wealth. Princess Alexandria has married the Athenian Chancellor (Prime Minister of Athens, sort of) and an alliance has been cemented between the two powers called the Dorian League.

(+ 1 Urban Economy/ + Dorian League/ + Many Padics)

The Middle East

A bloody and vicious war has been ignited. After the Persian King killed most Padics in his empire, the Caliph declared Holy war upon the Persians. The Persian Attack had already begun in Arabia, and their Indian ally had been helping them for a while. Baghdad has been threatened many times, so the Padics have set up a fall back route. The Emperor hasn’t left Baghdad yet though, so the people have confidence still.

(-500 Persian Horse Archers/ - 500 Persian Axemen/ - 100 Persian Spearmen/ - 300 Padic Spearmen/ - 130 Padic Axemen/ - 15 Padic Chariots)

The Holy War of the East is now one of Egypt’s main concerns. The Egyptian government had been overthrown, and a new Padic Caliphate under the Undia has been installed. This has not met well with some of Egypt’s Remote Areas, and they have rebelled against the weak Egyptian rule there. The Padics have persecuted polytheists mercilessly, and are seriously considering sending a expeditionary force to the Caliph of the Holy Empire, but that would require Hittite blessings, which are unlikely to come. In the meantime, Egypt has resumed piracy, and has begun preying upon Rhodes.

(+ Undia Caliphate in Egypt/ +1 Raiding Eco/ - Non Padics in Egypt)

East Asia

The Great Dynasty War may be to a close, but the fate of old Xian is not. When the Xebi Xian that their city was doomed, they evacuated the city, and left for southern China, so they are out of the picture. The Huang want all of Xian territory, but TsingTao isn’t going to give up their territory. The most infuriating part of this is the fate of Nanjing. An ideal port located on a river and ocean, it is going to be a huge city once rebuilt. The Huang may not be ready to declare war on TsingTao just yet, but they will be cutting of diplomatic and trade until the TsingTao is ready to give up the territory.

(+ Dirt Roads to Huang/ Xebi Xian relocated South)

In the Philippines, Kagubanlanta has the greatest road system in the world, and no man could deny it.

(+ Dirt Roads (1/3))

In India, the Simhalans have made an alliance with the Persians, and have annexed the few Padic settlements without a fight. Tanjag, a large port on the tip of India has prospered due to trade with the mainland, and the Island. Mojerno Dojero still is the strongest of all though, but is cautios of the new alliance of Persia and Simhala

(+ 1 Urban level for Simhala/ + 1 Size level for Mojerno Dojero)

Africa

Carthage has gotten herself into loads of trouble. After laughing at a Roman Envoy on the surrender of territory in Italy, the might of Rome has been brought on them. The Carthagians came into the conflict confidently, but was effectively steamrolled in Italy. From there, a general named Scipio landed in North Africa. There at the battle of Haddriopis, he met his mach in the Carthagian General Harbui. While both sides took enormous casualties, but the Romans were a little more prepared then their Carthagian enemies, and while Scipio can’t besiege Carthage yet, he will once siege equipment and more troops come from Rome.

(-300 Roman Spearmen/ -100 Roman Horsemen/ - 700 Carthagian Spearmen/ - 10 Carthagian Galleys)

At Lake Vittorita, the Janjaweed have engaged Uganda in a quick war. The Janjaweed, who were more experienced, sailed across the lake, and crushed the tiny garrison. From there, Janjaweed soldiers poured over the border. There is little resistance left, and there is no government to try to bring back the nation.

(-100 Janjaweed Archers/ -800 Ugandan spearmen)

Greece

A new democracy has arisen in the East Mediterranean. After the Minoan capital fell, the people set up a total Democracy like Athens. Fearing another Minoan dictator though, they moved the capital to Rhodes. All the people of Greece are now living under a democratic government……but some are more Democratic than others.

(+Rhodes/ - Rhodesian Levies)

Athens is in a sticky situation right now. Chancellor Papeltine has declared himself Emperor and ooops, wrong game  Anyways, Chancellor Adriach has been acting a little too much like a king. He has been re elected 34 times (1 term is 1 year) and no one recalls even voting for him. Many do have a fear that he will declare himself King, and some have started to lose Confidence

(- 1 Confidence)

Sparta and Macedonia, fearing Athens and Byzantium’s alliance, have created their own alliance called the Pardecion League. It is now common knowledge that the Spartans will be quick to declare war on the slightest agitation. The world holds her breath….and dies ;)

Europe

The Celts have made a deal with Carthage out of desperation: If they attack Rome, they will be given much wealth. It seemed like a good idea to Warlord Galbatorix, who desperately needs funds for a new “cultured” style navy so they could continue raiding. After a few minutes of preparation, the Celts overwhelmed the Roman border guard, but have made little progress.

(-200 Celtic Axemem/ - 300 Roman Spearmen)

With one victory for Carthage, a defeat came too. Maltan Pirates have come and taken over the entire island of Sicily and Sardinia too. While it isn’t too big of a deal for Carthage, an invasion of Italy is impossible until the islands are recovered.

(-100 Maltan Raiders/ - 100 Carthagian Spearmen)

Gaul, the land of the Franks, have spread their rule far and wide, and have a well trained army

(+1 Training Quality for Guals / -100 Spearmen)

America

PC STATS UP!

Small rule change, but it will probably affect little of you: For Civilian or Military Leadership you need to pay 2 ep times your size number.

EX: Hatti is Getting there (2) she has to pay 4 for her Civilian leadership to go up.

Hey Lurkers: We could use some more players!
