2ND MEXICAN-AMERICAN WAR. Following the rise of anarchy in Mexico and the exacerbation of the Mexican Civil War, the Mexican general Pancho Villa has led a military force against the small American town of Columbus, New Mexico. The Mexican military forces assualted and looted the town in March, killing several of its inhabitants. In response the American military assembled an impressive force to punish the Mexican invaders. Using the opportunity to unite the Mexican people against a common enemy, Pancho Villa rallied the remaining elements of his army against the Americans. Fighting has been incredibly heavy in some regions, and an American Cavalry Division was unfortunate enough to get too far ahead of the main military force and were wiped out by overwhelming numbers. The United States Army has siezed the main Mexican cities and roads, while the militia and remaining Mexican infantry has rallied in the countryside under Pancho Villa.

CRISIS ENDS IN THE BALKANS. Vienna, Austria-Hungary. Following the aborted Austrian-Serbian War, sparked by the assassination of the Austrian heir to the throne, crisis renewed which almost caused total world war. A rogue Hungarian nationalist group attempted to gain support from Germany and Russia in order to shift the borders of the Balkans drastically. Threats and diplomatic blackmail were sent to Serbia and Bulgaria by the Hungarians, claiming that the two main powers of the Common Front had approved of annexation of the smaller Balkan powers by what would be a Hungarian Empire. Furthermore, the Hungarians were claimed to have promised Germany rule of Austria and other German speaking majority regions of the northern parts of the Empire, as well as a port on the Adriatic Sea. Serb and Bulgarian government officials immediately requested diplomatic support from the Tehran Pact against what appeared to be German and Russian betrayal. Following this, the terms of the Hungarian Note were published in American newspapers. However, in late July, the Austrian government, with German and Russian support arrested the ringleaders of the Hungarian plot. Following a reconcilliation meeting in Berlin, the Serbians and Bulgarians dropped all claims against Austria-Hungary and the integrety of the Common Front was restored, though they took a major publicity beating at the hands of the press of Tehran Pact nations. CHINESE NEGLECT PAYMENT. Peking, China. Negiotiations between German and Chinese diplomats succeeded in early February in apparently ending German involvement in Indochina. The Chinese had agreed to pay six million to compensate for German losses in the 1915 campaign and fighting. The Chinese sent a mere one million to Germany, spending the rest on their military. The confusion resulting from this and orders to French forces in Malaysia has resulted in heavy German casualties at Singapore and continuing global disrespect for the Chinese government. SPECIAL: End of the French Empire
Following the tumultuous events which caused the Communist War, the shattered ruins of the French government elected a pro-Empire party under Petain. Despite the devastatingly alienating effect the sale of the colonies had on Petain's support base, he sold all of French West Africa and all of the French Indian Ocean colonies to the Italians and Boers, respectively. Though the transfer has had extensive economic influx for the French private industry, the effect on the populace has been devastating. Already large amounts of people have been calling for a new election or action by the military to bring down the current government and replace it with on that would restore the Empire. Across the world however, indigenous people respect France more for voluntarily relieving themselves of the burden of empire. Only the small African colony of Guyana and for some unknown and obscure reason Djbouti. (+20% Dissent for France, Global Opinion goes to Liked)

First, as a disaster for both Germany and France, German forces withdrawing from Malaysia were wiped out by the jumpy French garrison on Singapore. The German forces expected to peacefully occupy the city for European interests but were fired upon by the local French commander. Chinese forces then, using posion gas as a devastating new weapon, assualted the island while the French and Germans were fighting using European ships. The German divisions were wiped out to the man, while the few remaining French have surrendered. @LightFang, i need you to keep track of Council of Nations, it's harder for me to keep track up with a separate thread. If you could update the status of the Council yourself after the update from here on, i would be obliged to you. Who knows? Maybe I'll make Switzerland powerful, but i doubt it.
@Shadowbound, if you don't give orders for the next update, you're out.
@Vanguard/kiwi, if you send money to someone it comes out of your military spending, not public, and DEFINITELY not out of private enterprise.
@Azale, you lost IC for Finland.
