UNITED STATES CONFISCATES FUNDS. Washington D.C., USA. After the massive outbreak of violence in Chicago last year caused by the KKK, President Coolidge authorized the creation of the Federal Buraeu of Investigation. The FBI's first great coup came this year when they siezed a large amount of weapons and money coming in from overseas to supply rebels in the United States. Thanks to the Canadians, who turned in supplies sent in by a misguided source, the FBI has rounded up 7 IC worth of funds and weapons. To the anger of some Americans many of these weapons were Russian and Nipponese in origin, though the FBI has publicly stated suspicions that the American Accord may have been involved as well.
ARMISTICE IN CENTRAL AMERICA. Following the previous two years' inconclusive bloodshed, Nicaragua and the United Provinces of Central America have at last agreed to peace. Both sides, unable to defeat the other in battle, have agreed a treaty to reaffirm prewar borders. The Treaty of San Salvador has also led to the agreement of a 10-year non aggression pact in order to keep the peace in Central America.

COMMUNISTS WIN IN BRAZIL. Rio de Janerio, Brazil. Promising to end American Accord dominance over the nation and restoring Brazil's place in South America, the Communist Party has won a sweeping victory. The new regime has yet to make any significant actions to further their claims and platforms, but the people are in eager anticipation of the day they do. Thanks to the monitors from the Council of Nations and other neutral parties, these were free and fair elections which have opened up a new communist regime in South America.

FRANCE JOINS CFI AS WORLD WAR 2 ESCALATES.
SPECIAL: World War 2
NATIONS MOBILIZE FOR TOTAL WAR. As the fires of World War 2 escalate, numerous nations have begun mobilizing their economy to be geared solely for warfare. Economists believe that this could hurt the post war economy of these nations, but they have been countered by statements that if they do not mobilize the nations will not exist at the end of the war. The nations which have mobilized are the following:
Greece
Wales
Scotland
Spain
Portugal
Serbia
AMERICANS AID EL AND SINO ALLIANCE. With sentiment at home running mostly toward the besieged powers of the European League, several volunteer divisions have been formed by private entities to assist the Allies. China, Eire, and Italy have all recieved aid from the private organizations in this form. In addition, Congress narrowly approved sending aid in the form of massive monetary loans to the European League and the Sino Alliance. Despite growing public support for these actions, the majority of the American people still stand against getting involved in the growing war. Presidential hopeful Franklin Roosevelt has spoken against the intervention and has promised to "keep America free of outside influence" should he be elected in 1924. (+2 Infantry Divisions for Italy and Eire; +4 Militia Divisions for China)
THE GREEK FRONT: In early March 1923, Greek forces, expecting air and ground superiority in the west, launched a major offensive against Serbian forces based out of Albania. However, they found themselves outnumbered and the Serbs supported by Biplanes based off of Nipponese design. The Greeks were routed in combat and the Serbs began a major counteroffensive. The Serbian forces have captured Ioanninia and have already begun pushing on Athens itself against militia in the area. The Serbian push has also effectively managed to cut Greece in half, threatening to cause severe damage to communications and supplies to Allied forces in Constantinople.

Greece: 4 Infantry Divisions, 2 Militia Divisions, 1 Biplane Division
Serbia: 3 Infantry Divisions
MANCHURIAN FRONT: The year began with a halfhearted Nipponese push on Peking, which was easily repulsed by well-dug in Chinese forces. In April, the Chinese launched a massive armored assualt against the Nipponese lines, which had dug in extensively in preparation for the attack. Once more, Chinese use of posion gas and burning rubber has prevented effective use of Nipponese air power, though once the Chinese broke through the main defensive line, biplanes immediately began attacks against the advancing tanks. Following the initial armored attack, a Chinese offensive began further west, pushing minor Nipponnese forces eastward. In early August, the Nipponese counterattacked using freshly arrived armored forces from the Home Islands. This battle has become the first confrontation between purely armored forces in the world's history. The Nipponese won first in a minor success, though as the advance continued, Chinese armor and infantry reinforcement managed to halt the Nipponese advance. By the end of the year, the Nipponese have been driven entirely back into their puppet state of Manchuko.

China: 11 Militia Divisions, 3 Armored Divisions
Nippon: 6 Infantry Divisions, 2 Armored Divisions
ALLIES RETAKE BANGKOK. Siamese forces, reinforced by Chinese infantry and armor, have retaken their capital of Bangkok from the forces of the Common Front International. The overwhelming might of a Chinese armored Division easily allowed the defeat of Nipponese forces in the city, causing the hasty withdrawl of Nippon's military from the region. Further offensives were launched against German positions in the south, and the lack of anti-tank weapons allowed the Allies to push the Germans back towards Singapore.
Casualty List
China: 2 Militia Divisions, 1 Infantry Division
Siam: 2 Militia Divisions
Nippon: 2 Infantry Divisions
Germany: 1 Infantry Division
GERMANY OCCUPIES BALKAN COASTLINE. Against very minimal resistance, German forces have pushed through the Balkan coastline occupied by Italy when Austria-Hungary collapsed. The region was easily occupied as Italian forces have been occupied in other theaters of the conflict.
ITALIAN FRONT: As fighting grew more intense around Milan in the early part of January 1923, Italian forces attempted to launch an amphibious counterattack to take the passes which crossed into Italy from France. However, German forces were on gaurd for such an attack, and an Italian division was wiped out before the assualt was called off. Despite this failure, limited Italian counteroffensives from Milan using newly formed armored divisions succeeded in pushing the Germans away from the city towards Genoa. The Italian armor, being undisputed master of the battlefield with no German anti-tank, succeeded in destroying several divisions. However, the success of the fighting near Milan was balanced out by a massive German assualt against weak Italian positions in the Alps and Venice. The terrain and the fortified positions the Italians had established in previous years helped hold the Germans back for some time, though the larger German army has forced its way through with sheer numbers. The Germans are once more pushing on Milan, this time from the north. The scale of the armies and fronts in the north has amounted to heavy casualties on both sides as both armies have stormed mountain fortesses and cities in the effort to win the war.
Casualty List
Italy: 7 Infantry Divisions, 1 Biplane Squadron
Spain: 1 Infantry Division, 1 Cavalry Division
Germany: 11 Infantry Divisions, 1 Biplane Squadron
CFI STRIKES BRITISH PORTS. French and German ships, acting in coordination have struck at the ports of Scotland and Eire, apparently attempting to draw the small fleets of these nations into battle. Though no blockade has been declared, the merchant ships of the European League in the region have been sunk or captured frequently by the ships of the Common Front International. However, much of this has been negated as trade starts coming through the English region of the Union of Commonwealth States using neutral flags. (+1 Private Enterprise for UCS)
NIPPONESE HIT MADAGASCAR. In a surprise attack in late November, the Nipponese fleet sunk several ships of South Africa stationed at Madagascar. The Nipponese Navy has also siezed a small portion of the island to use as a base for further raids on the Boers, as a vital resupply and refueling zone for the task force. Many expect a confrontation between the naval forces of Nippon and the African Union in the coming year.
Casualty List
South Africa: 1 Cruiser Group
CONSTANTINOPLE FRONT: At sea and on the land, the Common Front International and the European League have fought hard over Constantinople. Fighting on land has resulted in a CFI victory as the overwhelming numbers of Bulgaria and Russia have pushed the Allied forces into eastern Greece. The CFI nations have begun besieging the Greek city of Kavala, where the European League have set up a new headquarters. At sea however, the Russian sortie into the Bhosperous Straists met with distaster as the Italian navy was waiting with air support from Greece and artillery support from Turkey. Almost the entire Russian navy has been sent to the bottom of the ocean while only a single Italian capital ship was sunk alongside several Greek support ships. The Russian naval forces attempted to gain the element of surprise, but they found themselves bracketed almost as soon as they entered range of the Italian guns. Only a few small ships of the Russian navy survive across the world, mostly based out of St. Petersburg and Vladiostock.
Casualty List
Italy: 2 Infantry Divisions
Portugal: 1 Infantry Division
Greece: 1 Infantry Division
Spain: 1 Infantry Division
Russia: 8 Militia Divisions, 5 Infantry Divisions, 5 Capital Ships, 3 Cruiser Groups, 3 Destroyer Groups
Bulgaria: 3 Infantry Divisions
TURKISH FRONT: Using the support of their fleet before the disaster at the Bhosperous Straits, the Russians launched a major amphibious assualt against Turkey. Much of northern Turkey has fallen as forces from the Caucuses unite with the beachheads. Despite stalwart Turkish resistance, Russian forces began a massive offenive toward Ankara in mid-July of 1923. The offensive was halted by the Turks, using ambush tactics and the terrain to stall the Russian advance. Many believe that this is only a temporary turn of events as Russian forces begin to arrive from the Constantinople front which has quieted since the European League's defeat there.
Casualty List
Turkey: 5 Militia Divisions, 1 Infantry Division
Russia: 6 Infantry Divisions
GERMANY LOSES AFRICA. In a major blow to the imperial German economy, the forces of Portugal and the African Union have secured the surrender of the remaining German cavalry in Africa. The fall of Africa means that it will be ever harder for Germany to supply their forces in the Far East against China, plus many believe this could free up African Union forces to fight alongside the European League in the north. The raw materials which used to be shipped from Africa to Germany now supply the war machine of the Allies.
