King of myself
Finally, the war! - Said the Lord Marcher and former war advisor of the deceased Pharaoh Ramicesses I, to whom he had passed the governement until new son of the Pharaoh could be pharaoh himself. Ramicesses had gifted him the post of war advisor, instead of a city to govern... in a empire that had never saw a war before, that position was the most unwanted position of the counselmen's table and frequently was the reason for not at all deserved mockery against him....
But the times had changed, and even the ageing Pharaoh sensed that... The French were becoming a big threat, especially to the newly founded cities in the east of the country.. French peasants had already ocupied the fertile fields east of Slobahotep's city, forcing the city to a permanet malnutrition state and there was the risk of that happening to the pawa-ra horse field near the border. Napoleon ( a really short and somewhat unpleasant guy ) was not the kind of man that lives in his land without trying to subdue someone and he could raise armies with iron swords, much more dangerous than our bronze axes and our war chariots.
Ramicesses, in spite of the old age, had not lost his reason and understood clearly that Egypt had to do a preemtive strike to France just to prevent future evils. But the body that suffered all those years of hard life making a empire out of not much more than dust could no longer suffer another proof of that magnitude and the pharaoh-to-be was simply too young to that job. The only person that could do that job was the shunned war advisor, the one that he never trusted the governement of a single city, a man that came from distant lands and that nobody ( even the Pharaoh ) knew his real name, treating him always as Wen Amon.....
Ramicesses called then his war advisor and nominated him Tiajy ( something like a vizir ) of Egypt and Lord Marcher of the army until the French were reduced to a state of non-menace or to the end of his commision as war advisor. Ramicesses then retired to the darkness and nobody saw him alive since then ( the legend says that he'll come in a war chariot to save his countrymen if things get bad.... ).
The man called Wen Amon by the Egyptians, now Tiajy and Lord marcher ( almost Pharaoh ), took some years to recruit some more charioteers and axe handlers and leaded himself the mighty Egyptian army to the border of France and then declared war to the French....
The first city to fall was Lyons, whose peasants had stolen Slobahotep's city fields. Because of that crime, the city was burned....
When marching to Paris, the Tiajy and Lord Marcher noticed a strange mine in a flat land south of Paris... Then Tot, the god of wisdow, opened his eyes and made him realize that a mine in a flat land was a dangerous thing and if it existed was because of something very precious, like the iron that was necessary for the French swords and axes. he sent his army to there and destroyed that mine... Now he was facing the Little man in person at the doors of the enemy capitol
Napoleon had garrisoned well his city with archers, axemen and swordman and , because of being in a hill, the Tiajy felt that he could not take the city with a frontal assault. He sent his chariots to pillage everything they could north of Paris, trying to atract some French troops out of Paris...
Some French troops attacked the chariots ( they will be remembered as heroes.. ) and the Egyptian troops attacked the city with full force. 4 divisons of axe helders and 1 of spears died, but Napoleon's Palace was now the House of Wen Amon....
Time had passed and egyptian war chariots ravaged the countryside, trying to lure the last axe and sword helders to open field, out of their hill cities. The only city that Napoleon had made in a flat land was taken easily after a heroic War chariot sacrificed himself to drive a swordman divison out of the city, letting it only with people armed with bows like the ones we use to catch birds....
Napoleon had offered a peace treaty to stop the war... but the Tiajy felt that they were still a problem and massed the troops to the until recently unknowed holy city of Orleans. The battle was fierce and only 3 of our axe helders divisions survived ( even a french war hero came to the city to try to give enough Morale and Experienced training to their units, but it was to late to have results ). But that didn't matter: Orleans was finally a Egyptian city.
Wen Amon then contacted the hated french leader to see what he was disposed to give to some time of peace ( Wen Amon realized that the people with bows were very dangerous inside the cites, where they could hide and avoid our axe helders.. and the last french city had 5 divisons of them, in a city surrounded by jungle and on a hill. It would be not a unwise move to wait the perfectening of the stone throwing machines that were being developed for some time in our lands. )
Now, as promissed to Ramicesses I, I give to the new Pharaoh the control of the empire and all the army. If the pharaoh desires to continue the war, I suggest Hakizamanabag II to the place of Tiajy and Lord Marcher ( he is somewhat eccentric, but I trust his abilities ). If the Pharaoh desires peace, I can resume my role as war advisor or to govern one of the conquered cities. I leave to the the Mighty Pharaoh Ramicesses II and to his counselmen this decison, while I wait in the shadows...
