NICARAGUA CEDES TO US DEMANDS. Managua, Nicaragua. Following the Congressional Massacre, the United States sent out a provocative series of ultimatums to the nations of the American Accord. Alone among the Accord, Nicaragua agreed to the majority of demands and has alone managed to keep neutrality in the escalating Third World War. As part of the treaty Nicaragua has demobilized a good part of its regular military forces and even has sold its entire standing navy to Nippon. However, this has been an incredibly unpopular move among the Nicaraguan people, and several riots have even occurred within Managua. (+20% Dissent)

POWERS CALL FOR CONSCRIPTION. As in the Second World War, a variety of belligerent nations have called up conscription to help provide desperately required manpower to wage war. Below are how many will be received per year and for how many years they will continue to arrive.
Bolivia: +5 Conscript Divisions a year for 4 years.
Brazil: +7 Conscript Divisions a year for 4 years.
EASTERN EUROPE. Following a massive rocket bombardment of airfields in East Prussia, Poland, and Romania, the Soviet Union launched a massive invasion of Eastern Europe on May 9, 1937. Within the first two months of the invasion, both Poland and Romania fell, though the latters fall was partially caused by the entry of the Brotherhood of Islamic Nations into the war. The Bulgarian reoccupation of Sofia forced the Romanians to either surrender or join the provisional government at Berlin. Soviet forces, using their newfound position in Romania, proceeded to advance north into Hungary, defeating combined Hungarian and German forces there. However, German forces managed to halt the Soviet advance along the Oder, and a further defeat by Dutch and Hungarian forces at Budapest would prevent the Soviets from crossing the Danube. Also along this front German marine forces managed several raids, devastating the cities of Trotskygrad and Riga. However, through these raids several destroyers and the KMS
Bismarck were sunk by Soviet fighters. On the mainland, the Soviets have gained a slight edge in air superiority, which has assisted them in the ongoing combat. This can be attributed to the Soviet use of both rockets and jets as compared to the Luftwaffe which has primarily used obsolescent piston-engined fighters.

SCANDINAVIA. A weaker attack than the Eastern European offensive, Soviet forces dismantled the Mannerheim Security Wall and poured into Scandinavian Finland. However, thanks to the time it took to destroy the wall the Scandinavians had ample warning to mobilize their army. In a vicious battle, the Soviets managed to advance through Scandinavian territory, eventually even taking Helsinki. The arrival of a German expeditionary force helped stabilize and stalemate the front, bringing the Soviet advance to a halt. Through brute force and air superiority, the Serbs have been forced into a bitter siege of the capital of Pristina. The combined Albanian, Bulgarian, and Bosnian attack mostly caught the Serbs off guard, although the King has successfully escaped to Berlin. Near the end of the year, Albanian and Bosnian forces launched a limited offensive into Italys Adriatic coastline. Though they inflicted some heavy casualties in the early stage of the advance, the Italians were able to use the regions natural mountain terrain. Early air attacks and Soviet rocket attacks from Romania helped neutralized the Serbian air force, and its remnants have fled to Germany along with the King.

EASTERN MEDITERANEAN. Italian military forces in Palestine and the surrounding regions have been soundly defeated by the Islamic army storming in. A rapid mechanized assault took the Suez Canal intact within the first month of the war, and the following offensives destroyed some of the best Italian divisions in Syria. Following the fall of the Suez Islamic army forces proceeded to advance across Italian Africa, crushing all in their way. That is until they hit a last ditch desperate Italian defense at El Alamein. The Brave but Baffled Italian 8th Army managed to hold the Islamic force at this narrow chokehold along the North African coast. At sea, the capture of the Suez meant the arrival of the combined Islamic fleet into the Mediteranean. The Italians, expecting a major fleet action, were met with disaster as the Muslim fleet, were devastated by Islamic naval and land-based air power. Four Italian battleships were sent to the bottom of the Sea while the Muslims never even came in sight of the Italian fleet. Though Italian land air power attempted to aid, they were far outmatched by Islamic jets. Following the decisive defeat Islamic forces assaulted and took the Italian forward naval base of Cyprus. The Venezuelan fleet was sent to the bottom of the sea, bringing with them a single American battleship, the USS
