Update 3:

And so the third update to the worlds history came to pass. Nations expand and grow and still the world is without a major war. National borders are begging to meet, perhaps this will bring forth the spark of conflict? With the ideas of civilization are spreading, new nations spring forth with a greater frequency. They are commonly found near already developed nations. This is no real surprise; Leaders will always have their dessenters, and people will always value their freedom. Combine the two and a new nation is born. Many of these fledling nations may be nothing more than a brief rebellion, but some will grow and prosper with their neighbors benevolence.

This era is not all about new nations however, many of the larger nations are approaching the pinacle of civilization.. Or at least at current technological levels, indeed without intervention the larger nations risk seeing stagnation in their growth. This is through no fault of their leaders, but of a lack of technological prowess- many breakthroughs will have to be made in order to avhieve the higher levels of civilization.

~+~

We begin with the tribes to the west of Gupta. They have been united by Jainson II, forming the nation of Ubunto. The nation is focused on naval activitys, with emphasis on fishing and aquaculture. The leader Jainson II invests part of his economy into his grand vision of a great fishing fleet.

In an effort to raise their nations culture to even greater heights, Nan sculptors are being commissioned by rich families to sculpt life-size statues of their deceased ancestors and family members, all arranged in a garden in a prestigious area of the Nan capital, Chengjia. This will be known as The Ancestor’s Sanctuary and is attracting the worlds first “tourists”. Yes, that is Chengjia - as the city grows, so does its name.
The nations wastelines are also growing for a new food has been developed in the Nan country!
A diplomat and explorer (named Lǜ Dòu) brought back with him a new crop from the Indus Valley, called the mung bean. The Nan have started to use it in a sort of humorous desert. First, they stick hardened rice together to form the shape of a simple cup, then fill it is with chilled mung bean soup. The Nan have started calling the desert the same name as the man who brought it to them.

Sages will describe this disease as “Wonderlust” for Nan turns out not to be the only nation seeking cullture and national confidance from bricks and motar. In Gupta, The Great Gardens of Bala, gardens containing many exotic animals, and will be open to the public for viewing, visiting, and socializing. While this is a seemingly good plan, Ujjain’s staff didn’t really understand where or how they were to obtain “Exotic” animals. They had only recently contacted a neighboring tribe, but that vally had contained nothing new that people would want to look at.

((O.O.C - You need to get exploring/scouting.. This goes for all!))

Mobandika continues to expand, however when it makes an attempt to form a colony on the far side of the bay, the colonialist and local tribes band together to form the nation of Dekta in an effort to repell the old power. Both increase their naval capacitys and it is unknown if these nations can both survive long into the future.

Lanka continues to expand onto the mainland, settling where the land is most suitable. Naval increases ensure trade between the different settlements is secure and transport swift.

Gojoseon feel more secure as two divisions are stationed in each provice, and national examinations have excited the populace with the idea they may become within the government. Military service is began and 2 levied divisions are trained. Work on a national standard is halted when word of a violent nation to the North East is discovered. It turns our one division of Gojoseon’s Army, headed by General Quisotic decided to strike out on its own with barbarians which were sick of Gojoseon’s relentless expansion. This new nation is being called Ginjay and is acting as a drain on Gojoseons populace for whose who disagree with Dangun’s rule.

Queen Elia of the Mongols oversees the completion of the nations capital Rising Sun. It is a beacon of culture and the nations confidance grows. Heavy investment in the surrounding lands results in a band of nomads settling a new town to the south of the Mongolian nation and pledging their support to Queen Elia. They were attracted by the queen’s claims of trade, peace and Glory. Some who were not quite so impressed by these claims forged the nation of Orez to the North. They are not aggressive with the Mongals, merely value their independence.

Bangladesh is having a second crack at civilization; it seems you can’t keep a good floodplain down! United by greed and the need for flood defences a council of sorts begins to unite the nation once more. Vast areas of land are pledged by their owners in anticipation of better livelyhood for all - assuming they can handle the flooding. Always conscious of making more money, scouts are sent outwards into the world. They quickly meet with Gupta and Panchala, which of course leads to word of the nations Odenes and Bactriana, they meet travelers from these two nations, but not formal contact has been made. Easterly Rengnoir is contacted.

The leader of Odenes has passed away. Gepo I has died a peaceful death. His magnificent reign has transformed the loose imperial foundation which Odenes was to a powerful united nation. His death was looked upon tragically by the general populace, although the local lords find this a good opportunity to gain more influence. His only son, Riamt I, will rule from now on, as it was decided by the whole of the family before Gepo’s death.
The first major order Riamt did was to hold a glorious burial for the dead Avil. In both Iria and Charyhb, he invited all local chiefs, new or old in the Oden Empire. Riamt, meaning Blind Eyes, invited all of those chiefs to bury a small gift with the dead emperor. Small things as a pot, a necklace, even food or Panchala trading goods were buried, showing that this Avil was a great man.
The burial lasted eleven days. The first three days was gathering the people in the capital and Iria. The new road system was used, and people from all corners of the Oden nation came to party. The fourth day is the actual burial. Riamt orders all guards to be silent this day so that every man in Odenes can see how sorrowful an event this is.
The fifth to eleventh day is for the celebration and the feast, many a Odenes citizen woke with a splitting headache the following day.

The death of a leader does not halt a growing nation however. Oses, an older an more experienced warlord, leads an army of 16 war bands on a conquest tour. He was charged with subduing the uncultered people and then to co-ordinate the transportation of Odene pottery and artwork to the local tribes after the conquest. Initial dislikal of the leader was reduced when the tribes saw the potential riches that the nation has. Feeding the hungry also helped gain support from the poorest sections of society.

Bactriana starts seeing the results of their great industrial growth, exess of manufactured good and weapons are sailed along the rivers all over India.

The people of Beijing explored and populated south of the port city. The season for rice is about to begin and money needed to build new platforms was reserved for this by King Xiang Xung Xing. He also expanded the mines to the north of the river.

In Panchala multiple factors combine to see improvements in the nations industrial prowess. I The Himalayas provide the minerals, forests full of lumber and meat, and the fields are lush with grain-King Chanaliya feels it is high time for his nation to begin moving into secondary production: making more refined products out of his bounteous supply of raw materials. Trade is almost developing to a significant level within the nation and between others. The continued trading with Gupta and the Odenes is providing wealth, and with the potential of starting trading with the Bengal people further downriver with definitely bring significant rewards.

So include it in your next orders, please.

@LJ, why not write up a nice little agreement scroll with map and post in thread so you can both sign it?

On that note, PLEASE can everyone be sure to include a MAP of expansion rather than just a description. Cheers.
