Spl02: Noob-Party

@Admiral - is there such a thing as "too much vodka"?

Not for a pole! :D

I agree with revolting to heridatory rule. :goodjob: with getting those events AK (excluding the slave revolt). Can't say much more since i can't look at the save.

Okay, here we go :D Turned down the volume and got my pumping wu-tang playlist on, wearing nothing by my underwear, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...let's rock! *ahem*

Turn 0: I must have misread, we're already in HR...<_< I move a bunch of soldiers from our cities to one square outside of City B, may as well get our stack ready.

Turn 1:
randeventod2.jpg

I choose the first option, I reckon Sitting Bull will be our second target, so not much use in spending money to be friendly.

Beijing hits size 6, Shanghai size 4, borders of Nanjing increases.

Turn 2: Boring

Turn 3: Spearman finished in Beijing, start on CKN. Jewish Temple finished in Guangzhou, start on CKN. Xian borders pop.

Turn 4: hi

Turn 5: Spearman done in Shanghai, start on a CKN

Turn 6: Joao offers use horse for iron
joaozu9.jpg

I decline, we don't need the horse and the less iron the other guys have, the better.
Well well well, guess who decided to build more cottages.

Turn 7: more pillaging.

Turn 8: Yawn

Turn 9: CKN finished in Beijing, begin another.

Turn 10: hello again, fancy seeing you here

Turn 11:
researchwc7.jpg

Well, this one is tricky. However, with maths the decision is easy (yay). 112 beakers = around 5 turns of research. We have 7 turns left and I have no idea if there would be overflow. I take the option that doesn't cost monies and we have CoL in three turns.

Turn 12: CKN finished in Shanghai, start on CKN. Forge finished in Xian, start on Swordsman.

Turn 13: nothing

Turn 14: CoL in, I'm tossing up between Currency and Feudalism, but we may need longbows if we start to get dogpiled thanks to religion/friendly relations.

Turn 15: Finished a CKN in Beijing, start on a Sword.

Okay, over at city B we have a 13 unit stack which can easily take the city, but rolling on from there? Possibly. They all have promotions that haven't been used yet. Once the current builds are finished we want a courthouse in Guangzhou and Xian asap.

Looks good... but there's no save... ;)

BTW, how's the economy? I'm thinking I'll build up our forces, and we can declare on Ethiopia the next turnset, assuming our economy is OK... which isn't a safe assumption.

Roster:
1. Splime (up)
2. Quotey (on-deck)
3. GreyFox
4. Admiral Kutzov
5. TheLastOne36 (Skip until Thursday)
6. Morred (just played)
7. dawn (Skip until Thursday)

I'll try to play by tomorrow, but no guarantees.

Okay, here we go FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=" Ttturned down the volume and got my pumping wu-tang playlist on, wearing nothing by my underwear, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...let's rock! *ahem*
and I thought I was giving up too much information...

Turn 0: I must have misread, we're already in HR...
did I mention I was into the vodka that night? Maybe I did it in my sleep? :crazyeye:

Sounds good, but there's something missing... maybe the save? or is it hidden in a screenie a la tomoyo?

Is it me or are we getting an excessive amount of events in this game?

or is it hidden in a screenie a la tomoyo?

Look, I said it was there, it wasn't hidden!

Do we really want city B? Have I posted this before? I don't think we should keep it. And we should probably just send a secondary stack to tack it and push the 13 unit stack towards Aksum/Gondar/etc (Lalibela? City B is Addis Ababa I think. If you couldn't tell how many cities from the diplo screen this would be a bit harder, eh?)

Great, he's offline now...

There goes my chances of finishing tomorrow... I will, however, attempt it anyway.

City B is a good city, relative to the region. Besides, it'll net us extra production.

I agree, let's keep city B. decent production = after awhile it'll build troops..

Look, I said it was there, it wasn't hidden!
I'm senile or my computer is. or the damn virus protection is acting up... Can't see it or find it.

B ain't that bad, especially with courts up...

Just reconsulted my scrawls. We revolted to HR on turn 175. Damn idiot .

I assumed you were making a stab at me 'hiding' the save in a picture
Nah, I'm an a-hole, but not that big nor smart of one.

anyway your turns sound good, I vote we keep site B...

Admiral: I need to spread my semi-naked Civ playing to all.

Whew! I find a way to poke through my business' firewall and at least read what's happening only to get this mental image :suicide: (Unless you're 5'10, 130lb, red head and female)

Excellent turn set! Nice to know that Jao has no iron of his own. Although didn't we see a swordsman from him earlier?

I need to spread my semi-naked Civ playing to all
fingers in ears, making white noise, too much information...

Really, where is the save? edit: nevermind

edit2: looked at the save, very briefly. if i'd wanted to quibble, i'd switch gzhou to library and work hammers in xian. no big deal. It is time to attack ethiopia and go as far as we can. get some courts up. keep in mind, I'm delusional.

Seige will be useful for those catapults, as they're cheaper to suicide. Of course, they're not as useful as they might be to non-Chinese civs, but still useful. Feudalism isn't absolutely necessary yet - our axemen defenders are decent, and our civics are alright so far.

So, I assume the decision is a war on Ethiopia?

Whew! I find a way to poke through my business' firewall and at least read what's happening only to get this mental image :suicide: (Unless you're 5'10, 130lb, red head and female)

I was very scared that you knew me until you said female :P, plus I'm more than 130, but I was still scared (I can't convert kilos into pounds very well at quick speeds).

I maintain that if people can play poker semi-naked, they can play Civ damnit, anyway, moving right along...

Fox: I didn't think halting was worth it one turn out from the end of my turnset <_< Cats sound good though

Splime: Yes, I believe Ethiopia is the decision

@Morred: I am not suggesting you halt. I am suggesting you play one turn short, and pass the save to next player while the team may be able to discuss whether we should go feudalism or construction or for that matter, currency.

But I do play Civ half-naked (or less) often enough myself, especially when I was in a hotel room, with absolutely no chance of someone barging in ;)
