DaftNES 2: Throne of Destiny

OOC: On a more serious note, there is such a thing as in character and out of character. What I espouse in character is not what I believe will work or what I think should happen, it is something I am adding to a game to give it flavor and make it more interesting.

EDIT: Ah, I see you changed it, Dis. Apology accepted, as I doubt I'll ever get anything else from you... ;)

The blacksmith after awakening from his dream, went off to the grand temple, in which he would donate the flower to the great shaman. He had to run through the bustling city center in which he, was nagged by several traders and merchants in their street stalls, beggars who were destitute and annoyed the main civilian populace who were taking a good amount of their time what they would normally do. None the less, when he came to the city temple, he was stopped by the guards, who were their to protect the shaman.

They said "What your business here?" pointing their spear at him. He stutters for a monument was about to say something when one of the guards gently nudged him with his spear and barked "Tell me boy, what's your business here?" He finally spoke out and said, "I was told in a dream that I am supposed to give this flower to the great shaman." "Really?" The guards exclaimed mockingly and then burst out into laughter.

The blacksmith got infuriated and threw a rock as he was running away from the guards crying. Then a couple of them came out sprinting and kicked him and brutalized him greatly. He moved as much of a distance as capable until he ran out of breath. It was the midday when he arrived back to the alchemists lab/forge and came across the door of the domain when his boss told him

"What the hell? What was taking such a long time for you to arrive here?" "I would prefer not to talk about this right now" he retorted. "Very well, now get the hell back to work"

So with that the young man returned to his work at forging metals.

OOC: Why are you sending a copy to a non-existent entity? :p CC means "Carbon Copy," people, it has jack-all to do with "SUBJECT;" do not use terms you do not know the meaning of!

OOC: Because the Taej Empire does exist if not politically; it is a cultural, economic and religious entity that continues to exist ;) Of course, since nobody cared enough to comment... :p

EDIT: And I thought that the Zehju was still recognized as the ruling Dynasty of the Taej Empire, in name at least

The Guild Council has come to the decision that we would like to increase our bonds with the Western World. We are willing to reduce tariffs in the ports of Aelwyn, Yamel and the Great Harbour of Ys for the countries mentioned above to hopefully increase trade between us, we hope that we will have similiar reductions in Import taxes in your major ports.

OOC: I don't believe there are any established tariffs at this point but...

His Excellency, King Taichang, greets your warm gesture with open arms and appreciates the fine gesture of the Republic of Ys. He wishes that you may be informed that for our good friends the Thuleans of the Republic of Ys, all the ports and cities of Sung Proper are always open.

Removed it as it was ad hominen, doesn't make the story any less silly though ;). You don't focus on the Thulean nations at the expense of others, you're the entrepot for mediterrean goods into the Yssosphere, trading we the Med because there is greater demand from the Thuleans than you could supply domestically.

@Fuschia and Slavic, thanks for posting your stories :)

Well that makes sense. However I've nothing against the Asturian League focusing a little more on trade with Africa and the Mediterrean at the expense of the other Thulean countries, if Fuschia wants to.

Anyway, in general I'd rather have as few specifics as possible when it comes to trade, else it will be a nightmare for me to try to resolve :).

That is true, they still rule Qi Taej which is supposed to have symbolic authority over Tyansua and Sung Taej, and to a lesser extent Tojushian and Gyutshian.

Daft, my mapping of Altyn-Sarai continues apace, I just need to obliterate some sections, and I've been sketching the darn thing in PEN. I'll send the whole thing to you after I've finished my changes and figured out the layout of the whole city.

Looking forward to it!

OOC: The fact is, no where do I claim that the Asturian League focuses on trade with other Thulean nations to the detriment of itself or ignores trade with other nations because of it; I am, however, clearly showing that the trade of the Asturian League is to be more focused on the Mediterranean in the near future because, as you say, it is the entry point for goods from the Mediterranean into the Thulean trading network and, as such, the best way to increase my economy is to capitalize on that aspect of the trading by moving goods from the Mediterranean to the Asturian League and then allowing those from other places in the "Yssosphere" to move in and pick them up. It is much more efficient for everyone, and a good deal better for the Asturian League.

Once again, your argument takes things that are never stated in my original post and attempts to point at how I am being silly because you, obviously, don't care or bother to actual read and understand them; you are being pointlessly aggressive and insulting. I will ask you to stop, and this will be the only time. If you have a legitimate argument, I will hear it, as long as it is stated in a reasonable fashion; otherwise, shut up. Plain and simple.

@Daft: Sorry about the retorting, but at some point I'm not going to take it anymore, and this is the point. Don't be too harsh on me. ;)

Orders sent Daft, may they bring me prosperity in the next update!! :salute:

From Fuschia:
And the best profit is to be made in Africa and the 'Med.

Well, I might be late to the party, but I can still show up :p. In the spirit of friendship, and doing my nice deed of the day, I have to warn you against putting to much investment into Africa. Dragging up the same dead horse, you shouldn't put many eggs into the Africa basket, but rather focus upon the Americas and Asia. First off, you won't have much more trade with Haman. The fact that you're supporting Verango- and in general non-theosist- doesn't play well in their books. Ismailists- which Haman is a far majority- dislike europeans almost as much as they dislike Antayla. If anything, their trade with go to UE, Sung Taej, and maybe Germanica. You'd be lucky to get a small slice of the pie. After that, none of Europe has a strong prescense in Macrabi (the next largest nation), and I ensure you won't have much in the future anyways. Trade with Kzame with die off in the upcoming years, and I doubt you'll find many friends in Oynx. That leaves you with Tanyis and Daran- the former a backwater with little connections to the mainland, and the latter pretty lucky to actually be existing. Go to the Med :p.

OOC: So does Sung have a future in Macrabi? ;)

I think the better question is who doesn't? and, even better, you should be asking what kind of future you have :p.

Orders will be in tonight.

From: The Imperial Republic of Antalya
To: Vengano, Republic of Pisae, Asturian League

For the permanent institution of peaceful commerce in the Mediterranean, we hereby propose the creation of the Mediterranean Trading League.

The proposed terms of the League are as follows:

1. All League members will mutually lower tariffs and duties (to League shipping) by 10%, to facilitate increased traffic and commerce between each end of the Mediterranean.

2. Navies of League members will cooperate in destroying Mediterranean piracy, and protecting merchant convoys from all member states.

3. In major port cities and shipyards, ships from League member states will receive the best available supplies and berths.

4. If any League shipping or League navies are attacked at sea without provocation in the Mediterranean, Ak-Dynghez, or Euris Ocean, all League members agree to an embargo of the offending party.

Antalya does not wish for any entangling involvement in European politics, and we respect your differing religious beliefs. We simply share your wishes for safeguards to protect the trade which we enjoy and you depend upon.

From: The Imperial Republic of Antalya
To: The Razynist Republic of Tusca

Do you have a response to our previous offer? Our terms stand: Peace with the Imperial Republic, in return for recognition of our control over Mycenae.

Order have be deposited

Orders deadline >>> roughly 22 hours from the time of this post!

My thanks to Andis-1, thomas.berubeg and KrimzonStriker (edit: and tuxedohamm!) for sending ahead of time.

While we see the wisdom behind these four points, we have already concluded a seperate treaty with Asturian League and are satisfied with that arangement. We do not see the need for Antalya to become involved. We await the world of the Asturians on this matter.
