CIV 4 BTS crashing

what does about this build say?

does it crash immediately or can you start the game? As I understand it it is an unpatched version, right?
Please open my games\beyond the sword\civilizationIV.ini and set all items with log in their name to 1 and the item called hidepythonexceptions to 0 - then start and crash the game and post my games\beyond the sword\logs as a zip file here.

I've been observing a BtS 3.1.3 crash-to-desktop every time I reload a saved game from inside another game. I've been using the HoF mod for two weeks without problems, and only in the last 24 hours has my crash behaviour happened. The crash will not occur if I exit to the main menu and load the same saved game. I've followed ori's advice and changed my logfile and exceptions settings as he suggests, and attached logfiles to my post here. I can't see anything fatal there, but perhaps someone else can tell me what's going on.
i've got the same problem on vista ultimate. i intalled it, set it to XP comp mode and now it starts up to the main menu. If I click advanced -> options the "music" and "other" tabs are blank. Then when I start a game it crashes right as it trys to load the game.

I've copied this from the "Unofficial BTS 3.13 patch" thread as I'm having technical issues with the unofficial BTS patch.
I have only recently installed BTS. Initially there were problems with the Options Menus not showing the text properly (I have seen posts from others having similar issues) and the game crashing if I started a custom game (but not if I used 'play now' though I didn't try to see how long it would go before crashing). I immediately downloaded and installed the official 3.13 patch and things worked fine. I then downloaded this unofficial patch, (fortunately) saved a copy of the .dll file before replacing it with this one. With the unofficial patch the game crashes (back to Windows) while it's still showing the loading screen (i.e. even before the promotional screens and intro movie).
I'd appreciate any assistance with getting this problem solved. Thanks.

I finally got it working - thanks anyway.

Yeah sorry. I left that part out because there really wasn't too much to it. AFAIK, I didn't change anything with the game or system except that I re-downloaded the Bhruic's patch, re-extracted the dll file and it worked.
