Based in OTL Mauritania (Northern part, at the coast), the Supusi is more a culture than an actual state. The priests are the rulers in the villages, sitting on the power of the religion and the people. As the religion is diverse, the priests are often disagreeing with each other, making the nation disorganized and united. The Supusi culture is covering the most of Sumasa area, but only the current area is controlled by the faithful priests. The head-of-state is the most powerful shaman in the area, Fer Ai. Although the area is rich, the nation is somehow unstable, and their future will be decided by the gods of theirs.

Story: History of the Supusi

Sumasa (That region of Africa - Africa, in Supusi, is called Maina, which means 'worlds') was inhabited by man from about 9000 BC, but it was not before 4500 BC that the first actual tools were present. Simple hammers and other rough tools were made of stone and were used to hunt for food as well as gathering. The area advanced through minor organization over time. In about 3000 BC, a nomad tribe immigrated to the region from the dry Saharan hills. The Supusi integrated themselves in the native societies, and a culture were formed. The beliefs of the Supusi tribes affected the natives, and soon the inhabitants from Sumasa were considered Supusi.

From there on, civilization was founded in the area. Priests gained power over time, as the pagan beliefs in Rila and Suomanna were a common term. The preachers of Rila ended up controlling the villages. Over time, they developed an internal network of heralds, and with that the nation The culture gained more and more influence until they finally countered the advanced Cueta tribes north of them. The Cueta was able to forge, and that technique indeed made the Supusi more effecient.

Through social networks, the people began developing a slightly common language, and over time the advanced techniques of forging were spread to the Supusi tribes. The ways of sailing were transferred this way as well, and the Supusi evolved into fishing, and learned of irrigation from the Cueta people. At about 2000 BC, the nation was very advanced, as well as their Cueta neighbours.

The History and times of the people of Kuru

Many many hard winters ago, The Kuruan people were ruled over by a barbaric king. But there was one man under him,Yarl captain Arazk. And he at first brought under his banner his five closest friends, and today as they are known the high counsil. Then as the heads of the eight other good houses as they are know known today rallied under our lords name, we thrust of the shackles of foreign dominance, and are now a proud nation, in worship of our immortal pantheon conducted by our high priest and emperor. We are divinely presided over by the dynastic post of emperor and his inner council of five as well as the wise lords of the good families of eight. Gods Bless our land!

We are a people in thrall of our holy animal, the mighty horse, and the weapons upon it with which we might strike down our vile enemies, the bow, the spear, the lance, and the stabbing sword. As well, well some tribes are confused as in thinking of the bow as a ''cowardly'' weapon! We know better!!!

As well we are in the thrall of our mighty gods Amorak, god of war, Julianas goddess of Love, Dominian god of the horse and Guthan god of the Earth. Each one represents the mighty spirit of the Kuruan people!

OOC: I would like to place my civilization at the mouth of the Columbia River in the US Pacific North West, where it empties into the Pacific Ocean, if that'd be alright...

IC:

The Taros (As the people of Taronlia are called.) are a simple people, living off the wealth of the coastal evergreen forests of the Columbia River area. They live off of the bounty of the water, in the rivers and streams they feed off of the fish, such as trout or salmon, in the oceans, the whales and seals. They also hunt deer, elk, and black bear, and are very conservative of what they take, and don't like to waste any part of any animal they kill. They do not want to anger the spirit of the animal that they kill by wasting any part of it. In their culture, that would bring ten years of bad luck upon the person foolish enough to do such a thing. They also live off of berries and nuts that they find growing in the forest near by, but their main meals are, of course, fish.

They are ruled by a somewhat harsh leader named Mangar the Fierce. He is a bit oppressive, but also caring for the people he governs. He has been known to grow angry very quickly, and his judgment is the final word. Some people may hate him, others adore him, but none cannot deny his leadership abilities. If it were not for him, they'd still be living as individual tribal groups, waging war against each other. But Mangar was the first Taro to be able to unite all of the peoples under one banner.

Pylos was established long ago, by a mythical king. He tamed the land, and set out to build the most beautiful city there ever was.

Well, he died young.

Instead, Pylos became a town of oppurtunity. The soldiers stationed there had a ruthless following, and any king that ruled the city was one of the harshest rulers, but he also commanded great respect from all it's inhabitants. Recently, Pylos has been expanding, fleshing out it's great city. Pylos has it's sights set on all of the Aeros peninsula, and it will begin it's killing spree in short order.

OOC: There's a little background character for you to work off of, Jason.

Gods of Ancient North America

The Talomata tribes believed in a polytheistic style of religion, based around an elaborate mythology. Each tribe or family often had its own patron diety and often the architecture, particularly wood carvings, would reflect the town's particular patron. To modern day historians, this religion is best referred to in a broad sense as "Domism," as named for the chief diety. Below is a list of the gods of Domism and a general idea of how they acted within tribal religion. This is just a small sampling of the major gods of the Domists, though there were hundreds of different spirits and dieties to which the tribes would pay homage.

Dom: The Cheif of Gods
Areh: The Queen of Gods, Goddess of wives
Ikol: The God of Trickery and Guile
Ekim: The God of the Harvest
Leifeimara: The Goddess of the Wilds
Thudd: The God of Thunder
Xedef: The Messenger God
Aphrodess: The Goddess of Love
Om: Brother of Dom, Lord of the Underworld

Place me in the middle of Tokyo.
_______________

The city-states of Phybio and Matchem both practice direct democracy, a system where the people rule directly through the assembly of all the citizens. Of course, the definition of "citizen" is sort of stringent. A person living within the realms of Phybio and Matchem are only considered citizens when they reach a certain age: 18 for Phybio and 25 for Matchem. In addition, these persons must be male and must not be slaves or bondaged through debt to another or a foreigner.

In the past few years, Aristokratem, a wealthy and ambitious Phybion landowner, had worked to increase his own power within the two Assemblies. His latest plan involves barbarians to the north, and the annihilation of most of Matchem. The Matchemi, meanwhile, are completely unaware of his secret dealings in the far north while only a close few (mostly other powerful landowners) other Phybions know of his plans for a political takeover.
