I like to keep my desk clean..

Where did you get those white icons? Thats what I'm looking for.

I made them myself.

Certainly, but you'll have to get by with what I've already made.

They're simple enough to make your own if you want as well. Just remember to keep them simple.

How do you make them?

Thanks a bunch.

I whip them up in Paint.net

If there's an icon I like and what a simplified B&W version of it I will typically just trace over it and use that to make a couple variations. I've also made a few "free hand" ones.

The avatar help thread (in computer talk) would be a good place to go for further image editting advice.

Awesome. Time to waste my friday night!

thanks a lot for trying to help abaddon but i only have a $500 XP computer that i believe doesn't have MSpaint

XP comes with paint. If it's not installed, you can put in the XP CD, choose Add Windows Components, and install it. If you don't have an XP CD, there's quite a few free image editors. I use GIMP, and while it's more bloated than Paint for basic tasks, it can do the basic stuff as well.

Here's my desktop. Got rid of icons several weeks ago and rather like it without icons. Found the wallpaper on a CFC thread. The location is Brazil.

And my only virtual machine has a pretty boring desktop. But it's got a sweet system clock.

It took me a few hours to get my computer as clean as it is now. I hate when I uninstall games yet they stay on my system. It was at 60% full on C drive. 500 GB drive. Here the new look to go with the clean HD.

Firefox is my wallpaper...

1. We need a neat icon thread.

2. How do I attach a file? Which cryptic thingee do I use, I tried them all.

3. Thanks to Fetus4188 for the nifty icons!

==edited to add==

4. So now I figured out how to attach a file. How do I attach a folder?

You're not going to be able to upload a folder here. Best way to do that would be to compress the directory into a .zip or a .rar and upload the compressed file.
