Sorry for the delay folks. I somehow thought my promotion was conditional on rolo not being able to play rather than the bold letters saying "pindicator is up" -- whoops! Well, I'm back from the oregon coast and I am playing asap to get this game rolling again.

Taoism is founded in New York. I'm thinking that the missionary should go to China -- just for the discord, but perhaps this should be up for discussion?

Hatty asks us to cancel deals with China. Since we're going to go after Hatty sooner than Qin, I tell her no.

However, Qin offers a deal that I do accept.

Next up is Construction in 6, although unless we can fix our gold supplies (merchant specialist?) we will need to lower the slider. After that I like MC -> Machinery while building catapults.

Settle 'next city'. Build a few cats and start to assemble a stack of sorts. Techwise we could do with some trades but that's probably a matter of waiting. Maybe build some cottages. I think we're best to just wait and grow and get a decent tech lead then go on the attack.

good turns ~ i also thought one of our cities should go for a merchant specialization to help out a bit with the money's.

also, do we WANT cottages? or go all out on farming and specialization? I thought the latter and started farming all around boston and elsewhere, esp since we're in Caste System for unlimited specialists.

I think we could go cottages only if we want to pick out a Beauro + cottage capital to finance our sprawling empire. But it seems a little late to start down that track.

Settling next city would be a good idea. But still we need to get our economy up and running.. So there are still courthouses to be build.. And temples in Washington and NY as well.. And Boston should go on spreading our religion!

And in case Hatty takes christ for state religion I'd spread confu to quin for diplo reasons..

We're still in slavery.. I too would prefere to run caste system..

And what's about hireing some priests to get a GP out for our shrines??

Ok, I am looking at the save ( I'm on the subway now .... not good for playing civ, as you can imagine , so I'll play later today ) and I just want gto ask what do we want to research after construction..... I'm very inclined to MC

And about caste..... not sure it's worth it now. Our cities are almost all capped or food capped. Caste would probably not bring us much, and it is very debatable if it is worth to lose the ability of whipping something and the anarchy turn ( we are not Spi ) in this moment, when we are going to start the cat buildup

Besides the obvious GS ( settled in spot ), have you noticed something else? Yup, both QSH and Hatty changed religions..... and with no intervention from our part ( I used our missionary there as well later to solidify this )This was a lucky break.

We can connect silver soon ( seriously, why does the mine lacks a road? I only noticed that in the last turn ), so i chose MC , no beakers invested ( 7 turns at 30%, our nearest breakpoint ( + 2 gpt ) )

This is more a placeholder than anything else. I pretend to repick this tomorrow, after some discussion ( if our fearless leader wants it ):

Had a look at the save. We are indeed doing fairly well for a Pholkhero game (no kamikaze variants might makea difference).

I noticed than San Francisco has no culture. Is it worth switching to Taoism and trying to get friends with Qin (to the point he's willing to trade non mnopoly techs). Hats will hate us whether we're Taoist or Confused.

Not sure about MC. Qin's beaten us to it but maybe if he's tied up in a war he'll ignore Colossus for now.

I still think we need some prophet points! So maybe spread some religion to phili and build a temple so we can hire a couple of priests there..

But we should spread at least ONE religion.. So let Boston or NY build some missionaries. And Washington should build a temple for sure!!!

And after connecting the silver MC is quite a good idea, 'cause a forge provides an additional happyness..
