Ffh Nes Ii

OOC: Bannor, me, Guy at 32 and 22 occupy this continant. This will be close. Changing my colonization for next turn.

Bannor will most likely war ALOT or, if not, become disgustingly rich in trade.

I have no idea what you pulled this ridiculous claim out from, it is up to the player what they do. Why, specifically, should the Bannor be warlike, or become great traders..?

Yeah, sorry about the response lag on my part - I finished my last final last night, with all that implies...

Anyway, I'll take territory 10, yeah. Too bad, Master, but maybe in Kol's NES, huh?

Backstory on the Sidar... the easiest place is probably the Civilo-pdf Lore Compendium. If you don't want to download it, I can give you a short background.

Spoiler :
The Sidar are the result of a guy named Laroth. Laroth was one of Kylorin's students (Spirit magic, if you care), and he died. Once he died, though, he was sent to the Underworld and due to the nature of the place, he actually gained power after death. On a whim, he decided to challenge Arawn for control, and he's currently fighting a little undeclared war, which Arawn mostly ignores.

Back on track: so Laroth somehow captured a bunch of elves before the Age of Ice, to work as slaves. They eventually escaped into the "Shadowed Vale", which as far as I can gather is a sort of hidden world between the Underworld and Erebus itself. These "Shadowed Elves" took some things with them as they left, including the books that taught the making of Shades.

A young boy called Auric Ulvin (yes, THAT Auric Ulvin) managed to get himself caught in the Vale, and was going to be killed. He was saved by Varn Gosam (yes, THAT Varn Gosam), who escaped with Auric, a few other elves, and the books. From there, the books somehow got into Sandalphon's possession, and he created the Sidar.

As for my leader...

Spoiler :
The last time Dani Horonz rushed like this was a couple hundred years ago. Being a Shade tends to slow you down like that. Still, there's a time for everything and right now, rushing was definately called for. When Sandalphon says something is "worth haste", you rush.

His brother Karl wasn't in quite as big of a hurry, but only because he didn't have as far to go. He was just about to enter the meeting room, but saw his brother coming and waited for him to approach. Giving each other nods, they entered the room together.

Sandalphon looked up at their entrance. "Gentlemen. I'm glad you came. There has been a new... development... that has to investigated."

Karl, the more studied of the brothers, looked inquisitive. "How can we help, sir? We are perfectly willing to look into whatever manner you desire."

Sandolphon laughed. "You misunderstand, Karl. I'm going to do the investigation. However, to do so I will have to travel far, and spend a lot of time... and thus, I will not be able to rule the Sidar as I must. That is the task I am giving you both."

The brothers were speechless as Sandolphon calmly rose from his seat. "The necessary papers and information are in my desk here; from now on, your decisions as my stewards are to be law until I return. Any questions you have can be given to my assistant, who I've briefed. I, on the other hand, must leave immediately."

As he exited, he gave one last thought to the still flabbergasted brothers behind him. They would do well. He, on the other hand, could very well fail in his newest task. If his suspicions were true... Laroth was very powerful, and what Sandolphon was about to do could be seen as a challenge to him. If he never returned, the brothers Horonz would do his people well.

Capitol name of Darkvale.

OOC:
It was OOC:. In OTL when a nation is surrounded by other powerful nations it either wars or peace, if it wars and succedes it is strong. Loses gone. Peace and trade: rich. Sorry, but that was just an inferance. You can do whatever you want.

Also, you said that In Character. :p

I got a PM that made me realize that i need to clarify something:
although you can trade your techs however you want and its not just a blueprint, you can't do it right away, you need the 'trade' tech before before you can trade your techs.

sorry for any confusion.

i'll update the rules to clarify this further.

SO: If you got techs with the sole intention of trading them, you may want to choose others.

So sorry,
i.

Err... No I didn't. If it was in character it would have a header saying ''From Bannor'', and would use language appropriate for the situation.

To The Second Glorious Empire of Bannor

Our stance is that all of our people should have the right and privacy to do whatever they wish to within their private lives. We are a nation that believes in complete and total freedom and privacy.

Should you attempt to force your viewpoint on our peoples, or impede on our freedoms, we will have take whatever action is necessary to ensure our Liberties!
As was said in the Ancient Patrian
Sic Semper Tyrannis!

The Unified Peoples of the Sheaim

OOC: I'll call my second city Galveholm

To The Unified Peoples of the Sheaim

We will not attempt to enforce justice upon the criminal acts that may or may not take place within your shambolic Empire unless we feel threatened by your actions. We are glad that your government is confident enough to trust its people not to be lead astray by the Princes of Hell, we have seen what they do to the people they lure into their control, and would not wish it upon anyone.

To the Grigori

We do not border region 38. We would suggest that we have region 37 and the Grigori region 38, after all, this region also borders the lake central to your faith, and in fact controls more of it then region 37.

We believe this is far more reasonable.

To Northern Nations

Greetings from the Second Empire! We suggest our three nations attend a summit to discuss the dividing of Northern Erebus between us.

2 Land clearances (and Agriculture work forces) in Sabel (20g)
I'll use this as an example because it was publicly posted, but this is a common mistake (not to pick on ekolite but i'm pretty sure he won't mind me using his math as an example for clarification purposes) .
Two agricultural work forces cost 15 gold, not 10. 5 for level 1, and another 10 for level 2 for a total of 15. (sort of like jopa's method)
each land clearance does cost 5 gold.

We can Agree to this, and we have the western and southern peninsula as well.

Oh, could you possibly correct my maths and give me a new cost? I knew there was something I didn't understand properly.

In other news, Jopa claims to be updating today, or at least writing the update today...

The Hippus would like to remind people that 38 borders us as well and we have interest in 38 as else wise we are rather shut out of the central part of the world.

okay- math corrected- i will send you your stats after update zero.

for the farms: its 5 for the first agricultural workforce, 10 for the second, and 5 for each land clearance, so two workforces and two farms cost 25 (not 20).

for the cottages (2 cottages): its 10 gold for the first commerce workforce, 20 for the second (total 30) and 10 for each cottage (total 20) for a total of 50 gold for two cottages.

both of these are cheaper if you have a source of production capacity (doesn't really come into play at this point). Things will cost a little more in this NES then in JOPA's but once you get rolling, you'll probably make a little omore gold too (hopefully).

OOps, sent it to Bannor instead of Hippus. :o

Actually, it was: Hippus get 37 we get 38. Sorry if misunderstood.

I am insulted by this cherade. The Bannor Empire will not have it's expansion controlled by the likes of you. The Bannor shall take 37, and we recommend the Hippus take control of 38. Besides, the Hippus don't border region 37.

OOC: I hope the map will come soon. It costs me two annoyed Players.

IC: Very well. We shall be back for good or evil.
