YosefNES I: Oif Gelt, Oif Gelt, un Oif Gelt

Banner of the Mutapa

After the peace was made, the two factions in Sofala had to hash out a new identity. As a compromise and after long hard debates, the two sides decided to infuse elements from both of their former flags into one. They decided that the colorations were to come from the original inhabitants flag but the shape was to come from the invaders.

The Red within the flag is a motif of the amount of blood that has been spilled in the name of right, survival, and sacrifice. It shows that protecting the innocent and right and the ability to survive comes at a cost and requires great sacrifice.

Everything good and right comes at a cost and sacrifice. ~ Mupta Proverb

Yellow, as you may have guessed is supposed to represent the sun's rays of light, imposing itself on everyone. The gods and goddesses know all through the power of the sun and it's omniscient views.

No action of evil, malice, or spite can ever be hidden from and not be judged by the light of the above. ~ Mutpa Proverb

The circle with the three lines going into it is both the symbolism of the three realms, the earth, sea, and sky, but also is displaying the central location of the empire.

All the different realms meet up at one end. ~ Mupta Proverb

Lastly the shield in the middle of the flag is the shield that all warriors within the Mupta aspire to carry. Muptanites know that they fight for and protect right, justice, and the weak.

Wherever the Impis go, justice follows afoot ~ Mupta Proverb

@ Ayutthaya: Why are you bogging yourself down with alliances? If one of us attacks the other, who will you help?

OOC: think, condor, think. Its unreasonable to be allied with too many nations. Some people here are supposed to be your worst enemies. What you should do is settle with NAPs. I hope you know what those are.

OOC: Let him do what he wants, the Mod will sort it all out in the update. :p

Ayutthaya was trading state during the 1400s 1500s they prided themselves on being very open to foreignors. The only enemies of Ayutthaya destroyed them, they were the Burmese people. Ayutthaya is friendly diplomaticly.

I love history its the main reason i am on Civfanatics. But yeah i will keep the alliance thing in mind. My idea was to create a siamese era where we could rely on each other to help defend against forein power.

Against forein power and literacy :p.

But yeah, let Israelite deal with it. If he's being too unrealistic or anachronistic, then he'll hopefully get a good slap on the wrist and learn his lesson.

Bullsh!t. As silver said: is both people backstabbing each other at the same time counted as one super stab or 2 backstabs? Lets find out, Condor...

EDIT: Sounds good, Josef

Yeah well im hoping to take a diplomatic or economic strategy this Nes. But i should probably stop laying down my diplomacy to hard as nobody likes that which everyone likes if you get what i mean. So next turnset i will stop the alliances and hope nobody tries to destroy me.

Wonderful! If you want to send orders, you still can. There's a good chance that they may not be used, but there is an equally good chance they will, so if you have the time feel free to send them.

EDIT: Still awaiting orders from -
England
Ottoman Empire
Chagatai
Mutapa

I have talked to Stormbringer, and IIRC Mutapa was one of the order sets I deleted, but I am not aware of any reason for the delays with England and the Ottomans. They will not have good luck.

Yes. He's a rasist he deleted my orders too.

Also with regard to church lands, how extensive are they, hypotethically speaking if they were seaized what sort of economic benefit, would they yield?

OOC: You spelled racist wrong.
No, he's not. Unless he's discrimiate against Asians over the age of 18.

To the Empire of Japan:
From the Khmer Empire:

Perhaps we can initiate a more fruitful trading society, due to our recent orientation towards the sea. Can you send us some ship builders to help, and we will give you whatever you want.

That would be a very, very, very poor idea. Very.

Hm....that poor? Perhaps I underestimate the importance of the church, but haven't several nations already done this at this point in the TL?

orders sent

I should have, but I returned them :p

Historically the church owned a third of all English lands before the King seized them, he made a load of money selling them.
