"That unit looks like crap." The complaint forum.

FINNALLY!!!!! A good arquebus skin! Oh joyous day, all is right in the world again. I will no longer feel awkward after rushing to blasting powder as the Malakim and getting those odd conquistadors with guns. :goodjob:

I've noticed that there isn't any cultural diversity in sea units. Is that going to be fixed?

I wanted to make civ specefic ships one days (I would really like to design Frigates that suit the Dwarwen or Elven culture because I find it a bit weird that the navies of all the differents empires look the same. In real world, Asian navy never looked like european one), but Kael stopped me to do so because it would add to much confusion. He want all the units to be easy to recognize, so you don't have to scroll on this nice looking ship each time to see what unit type it is. Also, we (the art team) have a lot of other units to make so I think we shouldn't spend time on naval ethnic units (or at least, not now).

The model for the Acolyte and Great Engineer are the same.

While not units you use that often, I had the delightful occasion to confuse the two in one game. I thought I was sending an Acolyte out to spread the Order, and sent a Great Engineer instead. Naturally, the Great Engineer got picked off by a sneak barb Wolf Rider. I don't mind losing Acolytes, but this one hurt. :(

...
I need long time players to tell me which units they see most that need work.

cheers

I've only been playing since .30, shortly before summoning was removed. does that count as long time? i remember the first time i played as a civilization i knew, it was the amurites (before i played as the hippus, but i didn't know anything about them other than their axemen are pimps), and i think govanon looked a lot cooler. it took me a while to figure out how to get mages or summoners.

Actually the Malakim adept makes perfect sense

Varn was traveling through Sheiam lands, and got jealous of all those planar gate units!

So he brought every single mage in his empire together to attempt to create a similar one...

This resulted in a huge explosion that morphed all the mages into...whatever those are

Now adepts must learn enough about magic to change themselves to their original forms :D

...
The thread actually put the courtesan, the Arquebus and Govannon on my to-do list.
cheers

now i feel compelled to play as the balseraphs, since, while i may have missed something, in my time on these boards i have never even seen anyone agree with me about the courtesan, much less complain on their own.

i feel honoured. As soon Patch P comes out i shall be sure to start playing with hookers.

Hmm... scantly clad professional ladies and gun toting bad guys? Its the Pimps and Ho's patch!

I'll be scared if the Arqubuses start pimp slapping people. However it would be funny (and scary) to add small gold necklace's in the shape of $ on their necks. Now THAT would be a good modmod- Fall from Harlem

Oh.... My...... God....... seZereth!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! I am so happy I want to, PLAY FFH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Arquebus model=Lolpwnt

THANK YOU

The Dwarvern Berserker and Soldiers of Kilmorph have the same unit model. It's excellent fro the Berserker, but it looks a bit too advanced/vicious for the Soldiers of Kilmorph... and I'd hate to mix them up.

Oh yes... the ancient elven forest with cottages... something should be done, but I don't know what... but it took me a long time to figure out why my invading forces kept losing all their movement walking onto a cottage. Turned out there was an ancient forest underneath. The lumbermill and preserve graphics mix with forests, but they dont use that L-system layout that makes the cottages look more random/organic, instead, they are placed in the center, which looks unpleasing en masse.

I may be willing to do some stuff for the elves, if there is solution.

YES! A thousand times, yes! The old Ancient forest and cottage/town graphics worked fine together, why where they changed to something that interferes with gameplay? The most important aspect here is to be able to tell when there is both a (ancient) forest and a Cottage (/town/etc). Now if my elven empire can look pretty also, then all the better!

I don't like volcanoes either. They always come at the beginning of the game for some reason, and ruin mountain ranges, and look unrealistic, blobby, and do not fit the rest of the landscape.

Please consider adding a smoke pyre or something to a mountain peak instead of replacing the entire mountain.

If you look at the bug thread you'll see that switching to the types of Volcanoes used in Fall Further is on Kael's to do list. These volcanoes are a big improvement over the normal FF ones, and should be very easy to borrow. I have no idea why making this change hasn't happened yet, as it has been on the to do list since before patch a.

Kael = slacker

Yeah, Magister can be pretty harsh sometimes. Especially considering the state of his modmod.

I keep wanting to play it but nooooooooo...
