Opinions on potential Leaders

Making Athel Revus Evil seems a bit odd, especially since the Khazad usually follow Kilmorph, making the point moot (he'd be back to Neutral). Then again, it might actually be a good idea... if the Khazad follow CoE, FoL, OO, or AV, Athel would be representative of those religion's corruption, but if they follow any other religion, it'll be a moot point and he's just another Khazad.

Yeah, that's more or less where I was going with the suggestion - Athel's part of the underbelly of Khazad society (the one that provides Dwarven Shadows, for example). As an AI he'd probably end up rushing Runes like the other dwarves, but I figured it might be fun for the human player to be the bad guy on occasion.

I'll set the Ai for Athel to not get Runes. Would you have an opinion on his favorite religion? Av? OO?

Buttons and images are almost done. Should be able to release all the leaders for my mod tonight.

The Grigori by definition cannot be Good. Their entire philosophy centers around staying aloof from the petty battles between the gods. Since Good, in the universe of FfH, means following a Good god, no Grigori leader can be Good and also Grigori.

Other people with more lore-fu than I suggested Good I believe. I may be mistaken.

Anyone else with opinions? I've fine changing it to Neutral.

Good isn't so much worshiping a good god as it it about being devoted to fighting evil--often at all costs. Cassiel opposes evil, but is just as opposed to the fanaticism in fighting evil that can make good act as bad as evil. Cassiel is clearly neutral and non interventionist, but that doesn't mean that all Grigori are. Adventurers seem quite likely to "go looking for dragons to slay," both literally and figuratively, so I'd say a few among them would count as good. It seems quite reasonable for the Grigori to be good when directly threatened by evil. They would certainly oppose Hyborem if Basium isn't around. They would not be likely to ally with the Bannor or even the Malakim, but I tend to think they get along quite well with the Elohim. It seems to me like the Elohim's founder Immanuel Logos would be a real hero and inspiration to Cassiel, as he abandoned worshiping his goddess in order to raise the orphans of the Godswar, without any regard to their religious beliefs.

Most Grogori leaders should be neutral, but I don't see a problem with having one good guy thrown in there. I don't see anything about that great merchant though to imply he would be a godless champion of good against evil, so neutral would probably make more sense there.

I really like some of the pics. Outstanding finds given the huge number you presented. :) (Though for one note i really dislike the one for Lorelei Coral (i wasn't even very fond of the modified version of Cuteunit but that was miles and away better. This one here has just not one ounce of the style of FFH2 Leaderpics or overall art unlike most others you presented and which fit strikingly well with the overall feel. :) I hope Kael takes note and uses some of these if its possible to get the OK from the creator. :)) and think the second presented Luichirp Leader really looks strongly Khazad. Maybe switch the first one of the Khazad (which might not be perfect but seems like a far better match) with that one?)

One important comment on balance though: charismatic is way to strong a trait in the hands of the Sidar (i can't emphasize that enough...). Even if a second one is not gained. That would be way beyond what Sandalphon can do (and Sandalphon has relatively week traits because the is rather strong otherwise... ;)).
I would chose that Leader if playing Sidar above any other Leader without charismatic i could hands down (if such a thing whould be possible in the first place). Just for that one reson.

And it also simply doesn't fit the civ imo. The grey are many things. But not emotional (that is what they lose over time.).
But i have to say a rare good pic for sidar style... (many pics presented as possible leaders i have seen so far don't really hit the mark.) :)

Raiders (much less important for Sidar than for many other civs) might actually be a better fit. Even regarding the picture and is fitting the civ somewhat.
As might Organized (which is quite powerful for the Sidar given that command posts are of exceptional use to the Sidar.).

Lorelei is the one most likely to get cut and replaced as I go on. I've already tentatively cut another one (the second clan of embers)

First version released with the new leaders, thanks for all of the input, it was valuable and helpful

could you maybe replace the images with links to the original locations of the images, rather than removing them altogether? I'm curious to see what those pictures were...

At the moment, you can see them within my modmod, minorleaders mod.

I am working on gaining explicit permission for them, and will be replacing any of them where permission is denied.
