General Turn Discussion

Well, I think Memphus will be happy, let's see what that madman can do now...He'll probably have us attacking the lone mace first for some reason :p

I've emailed Memphus so he knows for sure (he's having a busy few weeks atm, I'll let him explain if he wants to), and thanks for the pics Ronnie. I would have missed the turn roll otherwise, I've been a bit preoccupied with the RB pitboss game (you might enjoy reading about it over here).
 
What would we do with the warrior? It seems totally useless unless upgraded, and I don't believe we have the money to upgrade.
 
Well, might help with barb suppression. barb Spear vs woody II warrior on a forest hill, warrior could win that. Mainly, though, it's another unit Kaz has to kill. And I dunno that the galley is all that useful, though going all the way around the continent would be interesting.
 
We can't go around...

We have an agreement with MS to sail east now, and we will never make it through Kaz water.

I would not want to take the chance on a Woody II warrior vs a Spear.
 
Well, woody II on a woods hill vs. a barb spear? That's about 66% for the warrior.

But really, to me, the big thing is that it's another unit for someone to kill - if we can get him to DT, him and the chariot are probably a match for the barb spear - in any case, gives the HA a chance to come down and finish off the spear.

And I'm ok with a borrowed warrior being last man standing in TKY ;)

Ok I have done some quick number cruching but it will obviously need more time tommorow. (I only have about 25% of the paths mapped out for how this can go but i need sleep)

Would anyone be agaisnt a pause if we (I) need more time to derive the best chance path?

Based on the chats:

1. We have to Kill the Mace, HA & WE We have a 95% chance of doing this.
2. Kill the second Mace to the SE of TKY we have a 40% chance of doing this.
3. Attack the Mace & 2 Cats. ~1% chance of this happening. A.K.A we arn't doing it.

As for how we start off, I am torn right now until I do more sims. WE might do a mirror of last turn, but in reality we have some better odds this time. (Opening attacks of up to 1 in chance for example)

Looks Like I know what I am doing at work tommorow :band:
 
Works for me. We aren't even up yet, so....

I'd be ok with us chopping out cats, killing the mace/HA/Elephant stack and finding a way to handle the spear up by DT, and then hitting the mace/cat stack with cats next turn.
 
Ok Guys expect for me to have a plan soon.

I did our easier moves already (worker moves in the NE and city MM everywhere else.)

I think it is chariots first, then a longbow brigade followed in by spears. Axemen will be used as required.

The trick is we have to get that that Maceman to be open to attack and hit him hard so the spears can hit thier mounted units.
 
If we have an extra axe, do we want to send one up to help out in DT?


yes that is what I am trying to work out as well...silly barbs i would be doen and have played the turn by now, but we must maximize our damage to kaz while minimizing our collateral damage from babs.

mid turn so far we had some bad rolls...the chariots we could of just deleted...

So what do we think the maceman will do next turn? They gotta be running out of units by now right?
 
are we going to defend Waterstof with the LB?
