A NEW VIRGINIAN GENERATION. Richmond, Virginian Empire. The Virginian Census Bureau has noted a sharp increase in the age of serviceable men this year. Experts have attributed this demographic change due to the 1914 laws passed providing financial incentives for white couples to have more children. The increase in population will only aid Virginia’s military capabilities, as well as providing a brand new young generation of consumers. (+3 Manpower per turn)

CRISIS WITHIN THE UNSA. Toronto, Canada. A Canadian newspaper reported this year on an event which has greatly disrupted the politics of the United Nation States of America. Canadian counter-intelligence operatives, looking into Quebecois resistance movements, discovered disturbing evidence of a foreign plot. This plot was linked to a government within the greater alliance and two other rebellions which took place within. New Englander and Georgian operatives were linked to the funding, training, and supply of Quebecois guerillas within Canadian borders. Several New Englander officers are claimed to have been caught by the Canadian government, and have remained anonymous to the public. They have reportedly confessed to helping plan and organize a rebellion of Quebec against the Canadian regime and to have been under orders by high ranking members of the Conservative Party in the Republic of New England. Further investigations into New Englander archives have revealed other financial evidence in the form of covert military budgets relating to the financing of rebel groups within both Virginia and Canada. The captured members of the New Englander military have also claimed to have been involved in similar operations during the Miami rebellion and the revolt which devastated central Kentucky. Members of the militia of Miami have come forward, showing arms delivered by sources within the New Englander republic during the rebellion. Upon reaching the press, the New Englander perfidy outraged the public, especially after the release of the MacKenzie Letters, a series of communications between the president of New England and the French government during the recent crisis in Georgia. These letters express the desire for the reformation of the Entente and a redefinition of a new world order once more focused upon New England, France, and Russia. Among these include a letter expressing the desire to resurrect the old order in Canada, bringing independence to Quebec and the annexation of English Canada into New England. Cries for retribution have echoed throughout Canada and Virginia, inspired by war hark newspapers, calling for blood.

COUP IN DESERET. Bringhamton, Deseret. The hard line Mormon faction within Deseret made a bid for power this year as noted theocratic ruler, Joseph Salt, rallied elements of the military behind him. Heavy fighting took place throughout the year as both sides struggled for dominance. Once again, the countryside and urban regions were left in ruins as the military government struggled to maintain local support, promising new elections to be held in 1933 as an appeal to the average person within Deseret. The Salt Rebellion was soon crushed and the Mormon “Prophet” was quickly arrested and executed for treason, sparking a new round of hostilities. The fighting continued until the very end of the year when the remaining Mormon theocratic leaders surrendered to secularist forces. (+2 Stability, -21 Infantry Brigades, -6 Artillery Brigades)

SAVANNAH PROJECT COMPLETED. Savannah, Georgia. The Georgian government has made several efforts over the past three years to develop the city of Savannah to a standing worthy of a modern nation. The first stage was the construction of paved roads and a modern new harbor facility as well as an expansion of the city’s waterways. The second phase soon followed with the construction of low income housing for the poor white regions of the city. The government of the city also appealed to the black population by developing some of the Negro regions of the town. Some hope that this could represent a scaling back of the hatred expressed from the Ku Klux Klan for the nation’s black populace.

REPUBLIC WITHDRAWS FROM SINKIANG. Lanzhou, Republic of China. The Chinese republican government has withdrawn from their offensives against the warlord of Sinkiang following a cease-fire between the two states. The republican government attributes the pull out to unacceptably high losses for little gain. This is likely also due to the lack of support for the effort both among the public and within the military. So far both sides have honored the armistice, but many feel that one side or the other may one day soon instigate a new round of hostilities.

@Haseri, I felt that the reform program was a little too much for a single year, therefore only 5 was spent upon it. The rest has been banked.

I’d kindly ask that alliances with social groups please post in their research threads what techs everyone should have, just to make sure that I am completely caught up with the tech tree.

By his own request, Nailix has been moved from Portugal to Egypt, I recommend that the Co-Axial Pact social group take note of this event.
