FFH NES III: The Expanse

Thank you Diamondeye, and I can see that white text :p

stats are going to wait until tuesday. known market values have been added to the last update. the number next to the value just shows how many steps away it is from Normal. the mine in the update is actually in H3. the survey market technique has been added in the move category. the item Sub-Category section under Business has been expanded a bit. there are cosmetic changes to the Morale Chart, a slight change to rule pertaining to max number of patrons, and the Patron benefits have been added as well. every section is now filled in.

Yay stats! I'm glad to finally know what my spells do (they do not disappoint) even if I have no clue what a Canopic Brain is

EDIT: I looked it up, they didn't do that to brains! The ancient Egyptians thought the organ was useless and threw it away as opposed to putting it in Canopic Jars like the heart and liver. I guess I'll just have to make my own...

My total population is smaller than the Followers+XXXCLASS number.

(actually, my total population appears to be exactly the XXXCLASS number).

Am I making sense?

Okay... Under the Members Section, there are five numbers:

Total Population: Pop
-trained population: Pop1
-untrained population: Pop2

Followers: F
(Special unit class): S

Now, I would think that F+S should match up to the total population. Currently, mine is 10 above.

This would make sense if F was a sort of over-category, but that would imply that F was larger than (or as large as) S. That does not make sense.

Could you perhaps explain the "members" chart for everyone publically?

I think his problem is that his trained plus his untrained doesn't equal his total, like it should.

Has any of you heard something of master of disaster ? I have been waiting for stats for ages, but it's almost friday again.....

:bump: Orders sent. I would appreciate if the players could make sure to have their orders in on time this week since we (I) would very much like the update to be on time this week, and that requires some effort from our side and not just the mod's, guys.

Sent mine yesterday

Mine sent.

yay update...although I am not in this NES anyways :p

Update 2: Jobs for Everyone

Equos Clans to Gather at Odio’s Prison

The fame of an Equos man named Woden of Clan So’ai spreads. He proves himself to be an inspiring communicator, visiting the Equos city of Hoc-ta-Menet. There he delivers a powerful speech and calls for a Gathering of the Clans. With the war effort becoming stagnant, the Equos people are ready for anyone with a vision for the future. Each clan has sent a rider to Hoc-ta-Menet. Representatives of the cities, and all members of the nomadic Clans will meet at Odio’s Prison to discuss the appointment of Master of the Horse. There the clans will vote to give one person complete executive power over all the clans, essentially making him dictator. This has only been done twice in the history of the Equos. The first Master of the Horse had to be deposed, as after conquering the Equos’ enemies he turned on his own people. When the Equos were once again driven to desperation, they chose a second Master who seemed honorable. This second proved his honor, for when the need for an all powerful leader was gone he relinquished his position. Who will be the next Master of the Horse? Will he be honorable master? Whatever the case, for the Equos turbulent times are ahead.

The Trial Begins

In the Dahlia courthouse the trial of the three Mens Infinita followers begins. More members of the organization arrive to represent their troubled comrades. The trial begins, evidence is examined, and so far nothing can be determined proving that the defendants committed the crime or not. The followers were spotted by many a farmer asking for some spare wood, and were never spotted to carry an axe. Though they had plenty of opportunity while traveling to commit the crime.

However, Nephilim justice is determined by three Judges. When both sides have presented their cases, the judges retire to their chambers and come out with a unanimous verdict. But the head of the Mens Infinita defense, a bright and young adept, has come up with a new spell. He says it will help the judges make their decision fairly. There is no telling what they will decide until further evidence is not presented, either about the crime or whether the judges should utilize the spell.

Mens Infinita followers that are in custody remain so.
Mens Infinita adept discovers a new spell: Emotion Wipe.

Ghosts Spotted in Dahlia

A small Grigori boy was found dead in the cemetary. It came as a surprise to the boys parents because he was sound and well when they put them to bed. The caretaker of Dahlia’s cemetary said he had to chase away a horde of kids trespassing the other night. Apparently they were playing some game where the boys were trying to prove their bravery by spending the night in the cemetary. The caretaker and the surviving boys were ruled out as suspects since their alibi’s corroborate each others stories, since the caretaker saw to it personally to the boys caught each to their homes. The cause of the deceased child’s death was a cut throat. The Nephilim authorities, despite searching the area thoroughly have found no leads.

A few days later the caretaker was seen to be running away from the cemetary through the streets of Dahlia. He made it all the way to a Slayer Precinct. The Dragon Slayers who came out to see what the source of the commotion was, met the old man outside. The caretaker said to them, “The boy blames me,” and probably due to the fright and all the running the old man had a stroke and died then and there. Since then there have been five ghost sightings at the Dahlia Cemetary. Each description of the ghost gave varied accounts, some said it resembled a little boy. Some said it was a tall man and others a lean woman. The residents of Dahlia will no longer go into the cemetary to bury there dead. Rather than possibly waste the lives of precious Dragon Slayers, the Nephilim Parliament has put out a want add hoping to find some brave enough to explore the cemetary and get to the bottom of this foolishness.

The Parliament is hiring. Contact them for further details.

Newbie Mercs Do Odds Jobs

Newly recruited members of the Forsaken Garrison are sent out into Dahlia. There they look for work. Their clothes are quite destitute, and many are pitied and given odd jobs around the town. Some find jobs transporting goods around the city, others sweep shops, and the unluckiest ones get jobs shoveling the horse maneuer out of the city streets. It’s not glorious, but it’s an honest month’s work.

Draugr Defend Red Hills from Horde Counter Attack

A pitiful counter attack of the ten goblin companies assault the Red Hills. They ended up giving the Red Hills truth to the name, as there blood flowed freely. The attack was ill prepared and without direction. The goblins were slaughtered to the last. The foreign Draugr fought ruthlessly and efficiently.

No effect

Corpse Co. Hiring

The enterprising necromantic start up business is looking for workers (the gossips wonder why they just don’t have their zombies do their work for them). In certain strategic spots in Dahlia, town criers routinely repeat this message to anyone who will listen: “Corpse Co. now hiring! In search of mummification specialists, but all talents welcome!” It also seems that they’re nearly open for business as the criers have this to say as well: “Undead Servants Now Available! UNIQUE CUSTOMIZABLE commands available on all models. This Deal is currently EXTREMELY LIMITED, so ORDER SOON and finally have your perfect servant!” Talk spreads among the seedier elements of high society, as parliament members discuss the matter. Concerned primarily with how they can legalize this cheap labor yet make it palatable to the citizenry. At the other end of the spectrum, quite a few of Dahlia’s youth have applied for jobs. For now, the future of Corpse Co. looks bright.

Dib'Mahal Become Aggressive

Courtesy of Diamondeye:
Spoiler :
"The Mine Overseer was just about to finish his daily work in his office when one of his guards entered, shaking heavily. He was not carrying his weapon.
'What is it, Tanis?', the Overseer asked, slightly concerned. The guardsman stammered a low response. 'Someone outside... Is looking for an audience.'
'Well what are you waiting for, bring them inside!', the Overseer replied angrily, turning back to his papers. The guard remained standing.
'I... I think you better come out to them, boss.'
The Overseer clapped his teeth together angrily and rose from his chair, rosy cheeks from anger, and went outside along with the guard.

Outside, just outside his office, the five other guards were lying on the ground, fettered with arrows. Around the two men, in a half circle, stood six armoured men with arrows on their bowstrings.
Among them stood a seventh man, like the other six clad in strange-looking armour, with a long slim blade in his hand.
The Overseer, completely taken aback by this sight, stammered inquiringly, 'who are you?'.

The man with the sword took a step forward. 'I am Dibenkai, leader of the Dib-Ma'Hal, the riders of the desert. And I have come to offer you a deal.'
The Overseer regained at least a bit of dignity. Business, he was good at that. 'What deal?'
The strange man who identified himself as Dibenkai played a bit with his sword. 'It is a simple deal. Every eighth ingot of gold that ever leaves this mine will be brought to my men, for my coffers.'
'In return, we will abstain from murdering your guards and miners, your wives and your children, collapse your mine or make sure that not a single ingot ever reaches it's intended goal.'
The Overseer looked completely abashed. Dibenkai continued. 'Every month, starting one month from now, some of my followers will come and pick up the gold. If anything is missing, gold or followers, rest assured that I will not hesitate to do all those things and many more even worse. If you accept, I might even let you and that guardsman of yours live.'"

Ooh, update. Getting a bit interesting. ^_^
