The Dalai Lama: LHASA!
The slightly built and elderly man shuffled across the hill as he looked upon the massive mountian in front of him. The followers have grown attached to this peaceful and kind man, listening to every word he says. Surly this is someone in tune with this world and the other, for no other leader in this world can possibly understand the mysteries of Mysticism.
A young man approaches, "Wise one, teach us what it means to live. Teach us to have meaning in life. Please kind sir, give us guidance."
Tenzin Gyatso looks upon the young leader bowing on the floor. "Arise sir, for you should not be bowing to any man, let alone myself. I hear your words, and this mountain enclosed area would make a great establishment. Come, I will lead the people gathered here."
And the people settled along the sacred river, and called their city Lhasa
The people were pleased and gave Tenzin a new name, the Dalai Lama
"As long as you stay to one pure city, I promise the Tibetan people shall endure and prosper. Come, let us think and meditate while our warriors search for things which shall help us."
And so the warrior explored finding 2 huts for 64 and 72 gold while the Tibetan people kneeled on the floor and prayed with the Dalai Lama. Meanwhile the productive members of the city needed no such prayers and started training a worker to build a farm upon the wild grasses on the northern hill which was known as wheat.
However, a great builder in the city decided that this gentle man needed to have a statues made of himself, so all the people for miles could be inspired. Instantly, almost by magic a najestic statue was constructed
The mysterious man died from his efforts but promised he would be reborn soon from teh joy that this statues brings to the people. The Dalai Lama is a humble man, yet understands the people's need for this symbol
"My friends, look to this when times need to change in our city, for never shall there be riots in the streets as long as the face of that statue shines on us.
Very soon the warrior met another leader who had a similar disposition to the Dalai
Trained well, the warrior spoke pleasantries and moved along. The Dalai spoke that he forsay very good relations with the leader to the Southwest.
In the year 3575 BC all the people of Lhasa finally came to a realization as the Dalai smiled up them, "Ah, you all see now!"
And truely they did! Love and trust of their neighbors is the true path. Happiness spread more in Lhasa as Buddhism was adopted as the state religion. Sometime later the faith of Hinduidm and multiple gods was founded, but that is no concern for the Tibetans. The Dalai does not preach Astheticism and urges the Tibetan peopl to feast and eat well, thus they start reserching Animal Husbandry for meat and added commerce from wool and production from the yoked oxen.
The warrior next met two less than friendly leaders
The first seamed pleasant enough but had a mistrustful look.
The latter was agressive and demanding
The Dalai Lama told his people to be kind and open with all, and the Tibetans greated both Chinese and Mongolian leaders.
As the Tibetans finished Animal Husbandry, the builder of the Majestic Statue was in fact reborn as promised,
Norbert Rillieux was ready to quickly build anything requested or ready to take up residence in the city for eternity. The Master Engineer looked expectantly at the Dalai who grinned, bowed and.................
So there we have it. Two techs and a Great Engineer coutesy of the Christo Redentor! As this opportunity does not arise very often I thought it best to toss it out for suggestions!
First the Map
We have cut off contact between India and China, perhaps an interesting thing.
But for now, things to discuss
1) Great Engineer? Worth using on the Pyramids once we have Masonry? Or Settle?
2) Speaking of which, what do we research next? How long do we delay hunting/archery? I assume several warriors are enough and we can get dog soldiers with mining/BW. I am look at Masonry and the wheel.
3) Build? Do we go after Stonehenge right away, or spam out some warriors to asure defense of the lone hill entry point?
4) Hinduism fell fast, do we go after polytheism/monotheism after masonry/wheel to try and found Judaism?
Lot's of choices here!
