Turn Tracker (OFFICIAL)

Indeed there was! Worker SE, SE to mine next turn. Warrior NW and will move to ideal fog busting tile next turn. Workboat sailed E, NE. Off to expand the knowledge for the good of the Q. Switched to Mysticism. We are currently working Wheat (5/1/1) and Grass Hills (1/1/3) to get Myst in 4 turns rather than 5. Continuum will grow to 3 in 2 turns. It's worth noting that the top 5 cities are all unknown i.e. We have the least impressive city.

Moved Workboat NE,N. You'll note that it's on a tile with crabs. Warrior moved into optimal fog busting spot.

Moved Workboat NW,N. Interesting reveal! Are we in a donut or is it a second island??
Warrior is now sentried in optimal spot. This can be switched to fortified if preffered. Pop increase in Continuum allowed us to work the Grass spices till we gets the mine! It will grow again (3 turns) before the next workboat (4 turns).

A penny for your thoughts fellow Q?

Workboat went N,NE and is sitting on clams looking at the scary barbs on the shore.
Main island has nothing interesting going on just now. Still 2 turns to growth at which time Continuum can work the completed silver mine. We will also have Mysticism on that turn.

Workboat went N,N. Changed from working spices to silver mine in Continuum.
Something a little different, i've tried to provide a map of the known world. I hope it gives non-turnplayers some more perspective on the game.

Enjoy! :D

Workboat moved NE,NE. Looks like we can see the top of the island now. Worker went south to mine next turn. Continuum grew to size 4 and is now working the spices. 5 turns to growth. Workboat 2 next turn. Switched to BW and will complete next turn. Added some strategic signs for discussion.

Workboat 1 went N,N and the discovery paints the picture for the map flavour. Workboat 2 is heading E,E. The worker got his back into it a mined. Continuum switched to Stonehenge so the race is on. The almighty Q empire now also knows the secrets of Bronze Working. No reveal unfortunately but we have started looking into the mysteries of Meditation.

After moving workboat 2 incorrectly last turn it's now back on track and heading east. Workboat 1 is just back tracking it's way back down the coast. Nothing new :-(
With Stonehenge and Mysticism locked in, all that is left to do is cross our fingers.

With workboat 1 still winding it's way back down the coast it's only workboat 2 doing anything interesting. More and more the map is looking like a wheel. This can be good or bad. I just hope it's not uninteresting :-)

Still no religions. 2 more turns to growth and silver mine.

My fellow Q. As we stay the course to build the wondrous Stonehenge our workboats are busily discovering new lands. Runabout 1 has finally backtracked and will venture west next turn. Runabout 2 in heading south hasn't uncovered anything exciting. What is telling at this point though is that the map doesn't look natural at all.

Our worker has completed the mine and next turn will head for the forrest chop. Still no religion founded and Continuum has re-allocated working duties.

As the sun sets on the first dynasty of Galdarian it's time to take stock of what has been occumplished. Turn 22 seems so long ago now, 18 days in fact. Over the last 10 turns we've seen 1 workboat completed and both of them venturing afar to seek new lands. We've discovered Mysticism and Bronzeworking and made the controversial decision to chase Stonehenge. Continuum has grown from size 2 to 5 and seen the implementation of two new mines.

This turn itself was uneventful other than to ensure that Continuum is working the correct tiles. I've shuffled around some of the sign posts regarding possibile city sites however there is still plenty of time before we colonise the new world. With no religion founded as of Turn 32 we're locked in for Buddhism or Bust! Cross fingers people :)

Glory be the Q Continuum!

The new chief tesseract-farmer Earthling surveys the city of Continuum and its proud and stoic people.

The new faith, Buddhism, graces our daily lives, someday soon our leaders may make acknowledgement of the religion official.

But for this year we continue work on the greatest of all monuments, a wonder that will stand for the rest of time. In other news, the explorers long sent out to bring the Q's enlightenment to the world continue their journeys; nothing exciting is spotted this time. Meanwhile, minutae of the city's management continue to be discussed and all Q have their thoughts to share, as well as plans for the future research developments of our civilization.

What the record keepers have to say:

The city of Continuum continues work on Stonehenge, meanwhile our explorers move out. Not too much startling news as our wise elders and city councilors know what we are doing. Here's the full picture:

Northern Workboat Explorers

Demographics - here it is interesting to see some distant nations are not faring well - someone still at 3 population and 2 production!?
Spoiler :

The sea - here I wanted to show how someday in the not too distant future we may traverse known ocean tiles as our navigators have learned the route (capital culture will expand. City #2 with its current plan should also probably expand to the northwest)
Spoiler :

In a far away nation, revelations of a different nature are brought forth to some holy man. Hinduism is founded:

Spoiler :

(Thoughts/things to point out - looks like it is a civ with 4 population currently who founded Hinduism. Though we'll see shortly; it also doesn't appear to be the folks with the top GNP as they didn't get more culture added)

Meanwhile, at home in the city of Continuum progress on our great wonder continues:

Spoiler :

The Southern exploring party turns the cape of this landmass. We'll see what's further on in a short time to come. (We want to name then the Ganges perhaps and the next river for the other Workbabot? I'll go with anything, everyone should see our new Naming Thread).

Spoiler :

Likewise, in the North we find some deserts, nothing too interesting but our explorers still boldly go onward.

Spoiler :

Here are the demographics our bookkeepers have for us this year:

Spoiler :

Other notes regarding technical details. Currently, we have an agreed upon plan of what to build, anyone who has other changes speak up now, but I think we are all happy as far as I, current acting lord/turnplayer, can see. To build Stonehenge, we switch to a grass hill for one turn, so we actually finish 3 turns from now, right at 120/120 production. The worker builds some roads in preparation for another settler, then cottages grasslands until the settler is out. We will research Pottery, then Sailing next.

For anyone curious about more plans/just a better view to look at (particularly regarding our next city placement, if we have more resources to be revealed, like that plains hill). An overview of the home continent of the Q:

Spoiler :

All in all, another fine year for the Q. :)

The Q are on the cusp of some great achievements, we spent all year this year making preparations. The breakdown of activity:

Our capital city is close to completing Stonehenge (we work the forest grass hill for one turn to get right on the dot next turn). Also, culture about to expand.
Spoiler :

With future cities possibly mapped out, another overview of the known world (cities apt to move/change, particularly overseas, just an overview)
Spoiler :

Meanwhile, our explorers at sea sail onward. The odd, almost artificial symmetry of the land must speak to something and maybe we shall soon see more.

Spoiler SouthEast :

Spoiler NorthWest :

Demographics show that we are doing well; note that our people are now quite cultured and enlightened and this raises GNP. The distant nation at low population finally grew; somebody is also pushing production more now, perhaps they have fertile lands to settle. But no real surprises.

Spoiler :

Last but not least, the acting Lord Earthling, surveying the surrounding land and thinking about the future, also noticed something outside of the usual purview of city management. That mysteriously productive sea tile to the SouthWest, has some sort of kelp forest or coral reef or other natural wonder. (In other words, this is a "Forest/Coast" tile, according to the map, that's how it's got an extra production. A funny slip-up but I propose we also come up with a name for it then!)

Stonehenge is on the way, and the people of Continuum prepare for a time of Celebration. We are on the verge of completion (end of this turn) and likewise our capital culture is about to grow. Our explorers in the peaceful scouting ships Ganges and Rio Grande may anticipate some contact with other peoples soon but we shall see, there are no other tidings this year.

Continuum, our Capital (we will grow in pop size building warriors after SH, as our current plan)

Overview of the explored world
Spoiler :

Southeastern explorers
Spoiler :

Northwestern explorers
Spoiler :

Demographics - note a few things here, namely that teams are getting more even on production/food. Everyone is at 4 or 5 population. Also, the distant nation of India, calling themselves the Mavericks, are the ones who founded Hinduism.
Spoiler :

It was a VERY big year for the Quatronian civilization. First, the news which spread throughout the streets and all the people knew:

Stonehenge has been completed! :goodjob:

Likewise, our capital Continuum proudly sits atop the boards as the world's greatest city, and our culture influence expanded. But there was more news to come; first, an overview

Spoiler Overview :

Demographics aren't too surprising, again note our Culture inflating that GNP though:
Spoiler :

Next, I would like to direct Q councilmembers to the Turn Discussion thread where we have some issues to discuss over the management of our citizens and relations with the outside world. Here's what our explorers have found

Spoiler Ganges :

Spoiler Rio Grande :

To the East, around the far side of another Continent, we are poised to make contact with another civilization!

Lastly, our next production will be to work on a settler for a second city of our own; we'll also grow to size six shortly. Here's the capital, but see the discussion thread for now, we might change our production up a little for micromanagement. I think the worker is still following the majority plan/consensus - builds another roaded tile to city #2 and then cottages a couple of grassland river tiles.

Turn 40 - 2440 BC

Uneventful. We managed to discover some clams in the NW, and the Indian coast is symmetric to our, so we can safely assume the world is shaped like a star with islands between the gaps.

Beware, we are now down at #4 in terms of food and production, and we see that there are three cities size 5 already. Good to know we bounce ahead again in 2 turns (Pop) and we get pottery in 1 turn as well.

Turn 41, 2400 BC

Worker moved SE to cottage grassland by river as originally planned, workboats go on, the SE sailing past India, unnoticed. No contact made, and they cannot see us.

What is new, is that we are increasingly being outproduced in hammers, if you notice the demographics. This is why I would like to mine that hill after this cottage.
