[UXP] Legends of Revolutions

Very nice mod still, downloading the latest patch, got a couple of friends that may try it on LAN or direct IP, cant complain for the things that this mod adds, overall it adds missing pieces to BTS

I will no longer be working on Civ4 mods. If someone else wants to take over the production of LoR, I suppose they can. Peace everyone.

Hello PHUNGUS420, I poset the following on LoR SVN but I'm not shure if you go there and I need your help.

Hi phungus420,

I've been playing SVN revision 128 since its release (14.05.2010), excellent mod, no problems at all, very good playability.

Since yesterday I've been playing SVN revision 131, didn't notice any difference for now, I've checked the new option for extra aggression of the AI, didn't notice anything special.

One problem regarding load time of a saved game (from within the game), it has increased a lot, about 45 seconds, and still on early game, about X5 from revision 128.

End of turn is fast and loading a saved game on game start is fast too.

Edit: Hello PHUNGUS420, i've heard the sad news, and I wish you well for whatever your new project will be.

I really really need to go back to SVN revision 128, if you have any backups please tell.
Since you stopped your involvement with LoR there will be no fix for my problem mentioned on this post, so I'de like to go back one revision, which I enjoyed so much.

Many thanks.

How sad, phungus420... :( I think a lot of people were waiting for the new version of LoR. Would it be possible that you post one last LoR-version (0.9.9?) with an installer for all those who are not so "SVN-versed"?

Thank you Phungus for all the work you put in this mod. I have been playing LoR for more than a year and I can't imagine reverting to standard BTS. I hope your leaving isn't due to anything bad happening to you.

Thanks for everything, Man. :goodjob:

Hello cellku,

If push comes to shove, I will be able to upload the latest version I've been playing from svn, but only as a zipped folder, not an installer.

It's svn revision 128 from Fri May 14.

Revisions 131 log message states:"Known critical bug, see BBAI forums for report" so I reverted to revision 128.

Just let me know.

LetMyPeopleGo, so, rev128 is without BetterAI 1.00 then? Anyway, thank you for your kind offer. And I would be very grateful if you uploaded rev128. :)

hello. has anyone seen a bug where a mod feature stops working (usually RevDCM)? example: sometimes, my siege weapons (not catapults) or naval units lose the ability to use Ranged Bombard; the button is just not there. when this happens, i have to disable it in the Options screen, and then return to options and re-enable it. and it probably happens with other features as well (i've never seen my siege weapons use the Attacker Support , for example). so.....anyone experienced anything like this?

@cripp7, @CellKu, I'm uploading it to RapidShare.
Reading about Ver 0.99 revisions history you can go to:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/civ4lor/ and browse to each revision by clicking on its number like - 131, and then read the revision log. If you like revision 131 better (the last one) Inspite of it having a bug let me know. Just be patience, my upload is very slow.

If you want a program to check the MD5 hashes of the downloads:
http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/

Use winrar to extract the first file, after extraction has finished copy the LoR folder to your mods folder like this:

your installed game dir\...........\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\LoR\, don't copy over your existing folder, delete your previous content.

You can use your desktop shortcut created by the installer.(don't uninstall, it could remove the shortcut, unless you know how to create a new one)

LetMyPeopleGo, I am most grateful for the links! :goodjob: Will take me some time to download all of it...

I must have missed that post. Change player is a debugging option, you must enable debugging to access it. To enable debugging set the "cheatcode" line in your civ4 config file to "chipotle" and then press ctrl + z in game.

I've also never tried it, but when you go into WB the game trips the debugging flags, so you very well might be able to change players in WB as well.

Hey! Tried it and it works, sort of :p I had to use ctrl + alt + z to actually change players, and it didnt initiate the popup interface that allowed direct selection of the desired civ, but rather cycled 1 by 1 through all the available civs. Is this as good as it gets with LoR or am i missing smth? :(

Changing your civ/leader: CTRL+SHIFT+P
Changing player: CTRL+SHIFT+L
At least that's what looking at my ChangePlayer.py tells me.

Sad to hear phungus quit, does anyone know of last current ToDo/known bug/future plan lists or similar? Just in case someone wants to take over

Fuyu, since you asked for a ToDo-list, does that mean you could imagine to take over LoR? :) At least merging in the changes you did for Better BUG AI?
I don't know of any ToDo List having been posted. Probably most important is getting rid of any bugs and slowdowns due to merging in new versions of RevDCM and BetterAI.
