Where can I find the 1.74 F patch? I hope that will help. So here is my problem, I installed Rise of Mankind 2.91 and it worked great. I tried to install 2.92 over it, but that didn't work. So I reinstalled 2.92 and that worked. However, when I install any of the patches then I get no dice...I go to load a mod and click on Rise of Mankind. The screen flashes to my desktop and then nothing. Is it the downloads? Do I need to re-download? Are the patches cumulative, i.e. do I need to download and install them in order or can I just install the last one and obe done with it. I am new, very new, to modding, so I am reduced to noob questions. Thanks for your time.

Modern Steelworks says in its help info that it gives some hammers. However, the Actual Effects hover-over says it gives negative hammers. Can you please decode that for me please?

Follow what it says here and you can't go wrong. Just install patch F after you complete the FAQ steps.

I'm certain that has to do with it replacing a building. Trust me; the actual effects never lie. They can't.

So your advice is hold off constructing that building until such the time it give positive hammers in Actual Effects?

Yeah. Feel free to give yourself the building to see, then revert back if it's wrong.

The actual effects never lie? Then perhaps you can answer why my Doctor's Offices provide an unhealthiness that effectively nullifies the building most of the time?

It replaces the healers hut. If you have a healers hut, and are using civics that boost the healers hut, then the doctors office may well provide no gains.

patch F breaks my game so it crashes when I load or start a game so no savegame :/

I got the recommended setup, and patch E works fine

Hi,

i don't know if this has already been mentioned, but i consistently (like every game since the betas) get that State Church civic gives a +1gazzilion espionage point for the religious buildings. It seems a little too extreme. Is that intentional?

I use 1.74F on 2.92.
I also use it in Linux 64bits with wine. Perhaps it is a wine problem, or a 64bits issue. For the rest works great though.

Ciao

I have situation that my archery units had a free promotion poisoned arrows. This promotion make sense for archery unit only.

When I upgrade archer unit to musketer or riflemen this promotion still exists. This is unlogical. I play with beta5 so i dont know if this bug still exists.

Is it already confirmed that FD doesn't work on 1.74 F?
Because it is not working on my game

Then you did something wrong. When you had a game, you were just supposed to run the patch, not mess around with anything else.

So, to fix this one, do very clean install of 2.92, then 1.74 WITH EXACT INSTALLATION CHOICES you had for your savegame, then 1.74 Patch F. Then, bingo! There you can play your savegame.

To be clear, an official 1.74 game IS NOT compatible with 1.73 or 1.74beta games!

I turn off religious victory when I play. But the game acts as if it's still on and I get religious victories whenever I meet the requirments.

If you have Mastery Victory on, it counts every victory condition toward the end of your speed's turns. Then whichever player accumulated most scores win.

@Afforess

BTW, I think you should consider adding buildings that give their separate bonuses from commerce in Gold, Research, Espionage and Culture hover-over too. Not necessary but would be nice to see in one glance compared to going over every building one by one :innocent: ;).

One more thing .

Do specialists automatically give you :health:? Because Modern Steelworks says it give me 2 :yuck:s and 4 :health:. It also said it gives 4 engineers.

Not a bug. This is how it works in BTS too.

What is "FD"?

Which other bonuses? Isn't every feature on a building automatically displayed on it's hover text? Which features aren't?

No; there are no specialists that give health. It's likely that the Modern Steelworks replaces a building that has +4:yuck:, so it removes that unhealthiness, which is translated into health. The Actual Effects Never Lie.

I meant the slider bars in city screen. They don't show gold, research, etc giving buildings if they come from commer. Understand now? :)
