One of my favorite details of earlier civ games has disappeared. Now I cannot measure my success against the other civs, and see where I plateaued, and improve, or where I started stomping Montezuma and see that line drop to zero with satisfaction.

Overall, a lot of small things seem missing that add up to an OK game play experience, but not a "have to play all night" feeling.

-no power graph
-queue system needs to be streamlined
-clock display
-trespassing with autoexploring units...completely unforgivable!
-no warning that last turn was approaching
-the buy tile screen is poor, have the tile highlighed when mousing over

Others, but just give me back my power graph

Autoexploring units trespassing = hilarious. Best feature ever.

I absolutely agree with this. I miss some of the more detailed stats.

I miss it too and I don't understand why they'd take it out.

Wouldn't casual gamers enjoy a graph comparing how they are doing?

I want graphs, too.
Just pu it in the secind row, hide it a bit if you want to,
but let me reach it with a plus click of the mouse :)

Yeah I do miss a lot of these little features and are perplexed why they would take them out when they already had the code. Did they really not think people would miss these little touches?

Yes this. I've got to wonder why Firaxis felt they could cut some of these time honored facets out. The Graphs, charts, end of game replay... all of these were loved by all. So why during development would you say, "We can't be bothered"?

And if they ran out of time and are putting it back in, for God's sake just be honest and tell us! We're all understanding of time constraints, it's feeling like they may not give a crap that creates our issue.

Did they really not think people would miss these little touches?

i think it goes beyond that....thye didn't even THINK about THINKING that people would miss anything. they probably go so consumed with 1upt and how fun that would be and just glazed over everything else

lack of power graph along with lack of real war weariness makes going for the non-military approach pretty tough

on the other hand, civ4 was too easy because defensive was cheaper than offense and the power graph told you just how much defense you needed

I agree that the graphs would be nice to have back. I'd also like to not see my overall rank in a given category, but my rank in that category among known civilizations.
