I'm totally ok with the draw. Group B is great to see :D. Good luck Denmark!

Holy crap, what an amazing draw for Poland!
Yeah, how much was the bribe? ;)

I think Poland will finish last in this group nonetheless.

Group B, argh!

Well if England and France are predictably w4nk when it matters (as per usual), our less than formidable side might sneak a second place behind Ukraine? Good group for us ether way, no excuses to not go through.

groups C and D looks fairly even matched ... B is ugly as hell (althrough Denmark seems to do well against nations with bigger names than their collective strength might feel like) and i'll eat my hat if Czech doesn't end up first in group A, since that group seems fairly weak ... if we juggled a bit around with the members of A and B they'd average out to be 4 fairly evenly matched groups with no significent strong or weak group

i'd say that Group A is won by Czech with Greece in second place
Group B ... Holland and ... blekh? ... Germany mayhaps?
Group C: Spain wins with Italy and Croatia duking it out for second place
Group D: England and Sweden ... Frence while carry on with their curse for the last several regional/international tournements, completely collapseing into petty disargeements within the team etc.

Lato obviously threw loads of money around for the draw to get the media to overshadow his huge corruption scandal last week.

Kronic's right though, we will finish last.

I know we will do good and probably defeat England, my problem is how we will we do against France? Ukraine I will not even guess, it's in the stars. France we usually do well against so a draw is not out of the question? Will it be enough?

I think England has a tough group to be honest.
France: we never do well against. It's always a very tense, very close affair and they have some excellent players.
Ukraine: Well they are hosting it! So that always confers a special advantage on a team. We should still probably beat them.
Sweden: one of those teams we should sweep away on paper but when it gets down to it we struggle for a win.

Plus we are at the end of a generation now. The Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand etc are on there last legs and are probably a bit too old to win the world cup. I am glad they are going but we will have to manage the influx of new young England players who aren't that good..

^^negative England fan.

Group of Death looks fun! Cannot wait for that..

What happened to your optimism?

What optimism?

We are crap and I know it. Our team is much better than it was in 2008 and 2010 sure, but I still don't believe the NT will do anything.

I look forward to what our clubs can do in Europe. Our clubs are improving alot faster than our NT. Legia Warszawa has an academy and youth system to envy and are churning out talented players. Lech Poznan, Wisla Krakow and Slask Wroclaw are all capable of doing great in Europe as well.

The Group of Death B is partially redeemed as they have to go up in the finals against the Group A of the "teams that play destructive football", looking at you Greece, Czech Republic and Russia. Also, normally, the winners of group B should win over the winners of group A. But you know, it's the EC, anything can happen.

But don't the Germans set their camp up near around Gdanks and now have to fly out to Eastern Ukraine for their games. I think it's funny ;)

@TLO
You were quite enthusiastic for a while about the prospects of the Polish side.

But don't the Germans set their camp up near around Gdanks and now have to fly out to Eastern Ukraine for their games.
Yeah, they were apparently betting on being in Poland for the group stage. Ooops.
