I'll probably finally finish my Spain and Portugal first. :p It shouldn't take too long though, as the unit packs won't nearly be as extensive as these. Then I'll probably do Turkish units.
 
I just looked through all of these units, and there are a lot of possibilities here. This is a great set, even better than it looks like in the previews. :goodjob:

EDIT: Awesome, can't wait to see your Portuguese and Spanish units, I have a question though. I'm not sure if you are doing medieval units for them, but if you do is there any way you could make a Conquistador-looking Great General? I know it probably won't match the other units, but AchillesZero was supposed to make one and his computer crapped out or something so he's been gone.
 
Sure, I can make a conquistador great general. And of course there will be medieval units, I always make medieval units. :)

I thought I had heard you were making Ancient Portuguese and Spanish units, but cool you're making both eras that's awesome. :goodjob:
 
This pack is so awesome and so needed it hurts. :D

One thing that could make it perfect, though, are some early gunpowder units for Berber states (Musketman and Cuirassier). Also, a Berber pirate could accompany this pack very nicely.

I'll add a Berber Renaissance pack to the list, I'm a big fan of the Barbary Pirates and my old barbary model in the database is looking pretty crappy nowadays.

It is still very much in use in TR, though! :goodjob:

Still, I just assumed that while making this pack you should have run into some source pics for making more formidable Barbary pirates too (that and the fact that the same model is simultaneously used - retextured - as Wokou, so having another one would help having more diverse units).

Just a side note on which you probably are unaware:
most of these units have a full path texture. They show blank textures when we load them with nifscope on our PCs

I still have some old Barbar pirate art from back when I made that old unit, but I was really limited in what I could do in blender at the time and my texturing skills where pretty bad so I couldn't follow the art as closely as I wanted too. But now that I am more skilled I plan to make it much, much better.

I am still a novice with nifskope, and, truth be known, this batch of units are the first ones that I have edited with nifskope instead of nifviewer (after I discovered that windows 7 seems to dislike nifviewer). Do they still work fine in game on your computer? Despite the full texture path, when I dropped the units in custom assets to take the screenshots they still worked fine for me, so I just want to make sure they the textures are showing up fine in game for everyone else as well.

By the way, how do you make a non-full texture path with nifskope anyways?

Oh, yeah. I remember I requested a hungarian and a hun ancient worker a while ago. Do you still plan to do them? I mean, there is certainly no better unit modder then you out there. It would make me sad if you would have given up your plans.
 
Don't worry cool3a2, I will still make the ancient Hungarian and Hun workers, I had just forgot about them for a bit. It has been a long time you know.
