It has come to my attention that much of this list is outdated/inaccurate/missing:

AI - Artificial Intelligence, computer player
AW - Always War
AW* - Always War [difficulty level], where * is the first letter (or DG) of the difficulty level.

Barbs - Barbarians
Beeline - Going directly towards a technology ignoring others
BOSOF (TM Sirian) - Big Ole Stack O' Frigates
BW - Bronze Working
C3C - Civilization 3: Conquests
CB - Ceremonial Burial
Civ - Civilization
CoL - Code of Laws
Commie - Communism
CPT - Culture per turn
DG - Demogame/Demi-god
Flip - Cultural conversion
FP - Forbidden Palace/Flood plain
GA - Golden Age/Ginger Ale
GL - Great Leader OR Great Library/Great Lighthouse
GOTM - Game of the Month
gov - Government
GPT - Gold per Turn
HBR - Horseback Riding
HOF - Hall of Fame
HP - Hit Point
ICS - Infinite City Sprawl
IA - Industrial Age
IW - Iron Working
JW - Jaguar Warrior
Lux - Luxury resource
Lux tax - The happiness slider
Mace - Medieval Infantry
MA - Modern Armor/Medieval Age/Modern Age/Military Alliance
MDI - Medieval Infantry
MGL - Military Great Leader
MI - Mechanized Infantry
Milking - The tedious art of score maximization
MM - Map Making/Micromanagement/Mode Maker
Mono - Monotheism
MOW - Mounted Oscillating War/Man-o-War
MP - Military Police/Multiplayer/Mass Production
MPP - Mutual Protection Pact
MT - Music Theory/Military Tradition/Motorised Transportation
MW - Mounted Warrior
NES - Never Ending Story
NM - Numidian Mercenary
NOW - Non-oscillating war
NOT - No Optional Techs

OCC - One City Challenge
*CC = * City challenge, where * is a number
OCP - Optimal City Placement
Poly - Apolyton/Polytheism
pop - Population
poprush - rushing a project by killing citizens, like in Despotism, Feudalism, Communism, and I think, Fascism.
pRNG - Pseudo Random number generator
PTW - Play the World
Rambo - Guerilla
RCP - Ring City Placement
REX - Rapid Early eXpansion
RL - Real life, as opposed to Civ life. (;))
RNG - Random Number Generator
ROP - Right of Passage
ROP Rape - Using a Right of Passage agreement to sneak attack your enemy.
SciM - Scientific Method
SG - Succession Game
SGL - Scientific Great Leader
SHOF - Scenario Hall of Fame
SOD - Stack of Doom
SoZ - Staue of Zeus
SPT - Shields per turn
SS - Space Ship
SW - Small Wonder
ToA - Temple of Artemis
ToE - Theory of Evolution
ToG - Theory of Gravity
UU - Unique Units, Civ-Specific Units
vanilla version - This refers to the plain version of the game, w/o expansion packs.
VP - Victory Point
VPL - Victory Point Location

WC - Warrior Code
Whipping - Rush build using city population (under despotism and communism in Civ3)
WLTKD - We love the king day
WoW - Wonder of the World
WW - War Weariness
ZOC - Zone of Control

Now, obviously, I missed a lot. However, I think that there were many things on the list that were missing.

"Mace"? Who did ever use that to refer to Medievals? GW and SW for Great and Small Wonder are a couple omissions from that list. One might also want spt (shields per turn), cpt (culture per turn), VP (victory point), VPL (victory point location), PTW (Play the World), an CF (cultural flipping or Coastal Fortress).

Somebody educate me as oscillating and non-oscillating wars are?

Jargon = Words that are only used in a certain field. In this case, webspeak.

Oscillating war - you always have to be at war with at least one AI.

Non-oscilllating war - you have to be at war with the first civ you meet until they die, then the second one until they die, etc. No sandbagging.

I think people still use Rambo (I've never heard anything but MDI to describe Medieval Infantry, though).

I haven't seen anyone use rambo, ever. I've been lurking since about a year ago...

SGOTM = Succession Game of the Month
TC = Turnchat (maybe we should have a separate section for demogame lingo).

I'll edit more in if I think about them.

In SGs, you see IT or IBT a lot, which is inbetween turns (it refers to the time when AIs do moves, cities riot, that sort of thing.) Edit: And sometimes _AW is the same as AW_. Like people never say EAW, but they say AWE. However, you'll sometimes see MAW or SAW (Monarch Always War or Sid Always War.) RAW doesn't mean Regent Always War, though, it means Restricted Always War.

GWT= German Webring Team
APO/'poly= Apolyton
CDG= Creative Design Group
GCA= Gamecatcher Alliance
CoIA= Counsel of Internal Affairs
CoMA= Counsel of Military Affairs
CoFA= Counsel of Foreign Affairs
JotC= Justice of the Court
CDG= Creative Design Group

ISDG= Intersite Democracy Game (Generally used to describe the C3C one)
ISDG II= C3C ISDG

There are a few more secret ones ;) :p

I've seen "Rambo" in use, but it's been a while since last time.

Medieval Infantry are sometimes called simply "Medievals", but this probably doesn't require an explanation. On the subject of unit abbreviations, tho, we've got MOW - Man'O'War and NM - Numidian Mercenary.
